  • Nelson, hate to be the one to break it to you, but your opponent is probably able to see your game. You should invest in non reflective glasses if you're going to play chess seriously

    • Yeah you got a point, i mean the opponent can see the moves nelson is gonna make before he does so. Id recommend a blindfold

    • I don't understand the problem? There is nothing to hide and the opponent shouldn't even have access to his webcam?

  • I mean you didn't get 3 extra queens but you managed to convert 2. That's pretty wild in a +2000 ELO game.

  • As a chess player, when the opponent offers a queen trade, most likely it is just free development for them

    @lauri-ug6hz@lauri-ug6hz26 күн бұрын
    • Yeah, generally you only offer a trade which either benefits or maintains equality in a tricky position. I try to avoid early queen trades unless my opponent has to recapture with their king before castling

      @levistepanian5341@levistepanian534126 күн бұрын
    • @@levistepanian5341 when i was starting, it was just: "Oh a free queen" without even realising that i can't castle anymore. However, a few gambits get rid of this problem, the magnus gambit and the bongcloud. You do not need to worry about castling if you are unable to do it anyway. The magnus gambit is where you waste the first 6 moves rearranging the king and queen, low low elo rockstars try to scholars mate that ☕

    • @@levistepanian5341absolutely, if you’re up then use queen trade to your advantage. If you’re down, then find a queen trade to get yourself out of a sticky situation. 🤝

  • you liquidated your pieces but unfortunately, you were DOWN a piece b4 you liquidated so... I think that's kind of a rule. Liquidate is okay if you are the one with MORE pieces. More pieces is stronger than less pieces because you have more ways to attack. I think. hehe

  • What if instead you took the knight with the rook and gave check (defended by the bishop) then could you win the queen on the next move?

      @blue_red_screen@blue_red_screen26 күн бұрын
    • Right. I wasn't looking at the position as I made my comment, forgot bishop was there. At least queen could then get away on the next move instead, Qc4+ since the knight is no longer guarding that square

      @jesseterpstra5472@jesseterpstra547226 күн бұрын
  • a2 to a4 then one more push kicks the knight away at least. Or push left side pawns and try to promote one? Seems you still had ways to win, maybe.
