I don’t know what’s more impressive, The stunning photography/videography or the epic narration. Made me feel like a kid during story time!

Amazing videos of the bald eagles so many of them 😮😮. Awesome to see them flying so high and picking up the fish by spotting them from far away and coming at the right moment to catch the fish.

Great narration, video and photos, Mark. I was meandering along a trail on White Fish Island, down near the rapids where I live, when I met a husband and wife each with a camera equipped with a long lens. He shared an image of an osprey, fish in tow, that he had captured. I said to him: "There is a fellow, I think in the Florida area, who takes great pictures of birds of prey." He responded: "You mean Mark Smith? I use some of his recommended settings." That's proof that your birds fly far and wide. 🙂

Astounding photos and video. I noticed something interesting at 5:36 in the video where the eagle eats on the wing. When the bird temporarily lets go of the fish a few times to rotate it head first for easy swallowing it does so in sync with downward beats of it's wings and a slight upward movement of it's head. This leaves the fish 'weightless' for the small time the beak isn't clamped on the fish. Clever Eagle 🙂
