Of all the "how to zero in your sights", this is the best and easiest to understand and follow for us dummies. Thank you very much.
Agreed
As a beginner this was just what I was looking for, many thanks.
Agree this was the clearest, basic explanation i found on yt also. Thanks for this, it helped me out
Take one shot and adjust your crosshairs to first shot then aim center of target works rverytime
True great explaination

Absolutely!😂😂👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
That was an uncomplicated straight forward lesson in how to zero a rifle. Brilliant!
I absolutely with the comments, straight forward and easy to understand. I work in a gun store and I try and be patient and easy to understand to new people's, sadly most gun stores are not patient and freely giving with the basics to new people. Thank you fine sir for yet another great video, well done yeeh ☘👑🖒
That's when you tell them to go to KZhead..no one knows it all..but KZhead is my Best Teacher. Thanks for YT.
I’ve been shooting for over 55 years and have bounced from long guns to pistols , but I’ve NEVER USED A SCOPE . Short distance shooting is still working. Lol . Longer range a high in a fence post looks like a squirrel. Ha ha . Great instructions. Thank you. Thank you for your service. If I’m wrong, I apologize. A superior instructor has the ability to covey comprehensive and complex information to others in a way that is simple to understand for the brightest students and the not so bright students. You sir have that gift .
Great video for beginners and people looking for guidance on how to properly zero their scope. Straight forward, easy to understand, and no "fluff". Great video! Keep up the great content.
Probably the most straightforward and simplistic tutorial for someone with no experience. Excellent!
Thanks a bunch!!! great information for the "beginner" with a scope. I've personally always used iron sights on my 308 rifle. Now that I'm at an age where I need a scope I'll be taking this information with me to the range to dial in my new scope. Thanks again for helping me to understand better as a beginner scope user.
Thank you. For a beginner, this was very helpful.
Agree, only ever really used iron sights (or tactical sights) and maybe one cheap scope on an air rifle so very clear and helpful thanks! Now I need to research how to select a scope..
@@smudgepost my recommendation for a great easy to use beginner scope for under $100 would be the Bushnell banner 2
This is my first time zeroing in a scope, info was clear and to the point. Thank you
This is my first time zeroing my scope, i don't have any idea about zeroing. It was very helpful and thanks for uploading the videos.
Thank you! I've been shooting over iron sights my whole life, only my eyes just aren't what they used to be, so it's time to start using some optics. The only optics I've used before were in tanks when I was in the Army. This video, along with part 2, really explained the basics of the scope very well.
You are the man. I had to watch four videos of people trying to explain it until you actually DID explain it. I'm sure I could've figured it out after wasting a bunch of bullets experimenting, but this is much more helpful.
Very simple and right to the point, thank you
Puns
Good video, but reiterating that the directions (up, down, left, right) on the knobs translate to the direction you want the point of impact to change is important/helpful, since it can be counter-intuitive for beginners... I used to think those directions were where I wanted to reticle to shift. Maybe I am the only one, but it took me a while to permanently remember that principle.
same for me here man
On less advanced scopes without labeling you click toward point of the hit which means next time the cross hairs should be closer to bullseye. These modern fancy scopes are doing same thing with labels "UP & DOWN". Make you think you are going up while going down or left when adjusting right.
Same for me took me a fukkkin month before i figured out thats not what it ment and finally zerod my scope
I was looking out my bathroom window with my scope. My wife asked me what I was doing? I said I’m adjusting my scope. She said just pour some in the top an gargle it 🤣🤣🤣
😆
lol
Thank you so much!!! Anything you look up always shows the filed guide of this process. As someone who grew up with handgun and shotguns this isnt something I have experience with. Your video made it dead simple!!!
Thanks for that simple explanation. I'm buying my first optic scope soon and wanted to know some basics. So thank you for taking the time to explain this. Cheers
Watched 4 or 5 videos and this is exactly the one I needed, thank you!
Very helpful, I zeroed my Model 60 at 50 yards and it is spot on. My only experience prior was iron sights with my issued M14. 440 yrds at the qualifying range was our test which went very well. Scopes are new to me and this was brilliant, thanks.
Short and straight to the point! Thanks! Very well explained for a beginner like me
I can tell already I am going to enjoy this series. I know this stuff but it is going to be a great review and you are actually explaining things well.
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us. Thank you for your dedication. You are an excellent teacher. We need more people like you in the world. Thank you again!!
as a new builder this basic info is really helpful. thank you
By far the best video I watched explaining how scope works.
This is the most simplest explanation about zero in the scope. Thanks.
Really well explained and super comprehensive. Thank you!
That was perfect. How funny that you would point out the right side for that’s where my shoots where landing . Off to right and down. Made it very easy to understand how to adjust. Thanks!!
Just what I was looking for. Thanks, on to part 2
I tried to explain this to my daughter and for some reason I just couldn’t explain it to where she could understand. This video was perfect. I put it on the big screen, she had one of those lightbulb moments, and it’s been a game changer ever since. I’m sorry for being emotional but you provided us with a bonding moment that I’ve been longing for for 8yrs. Thank you, sir.
Thanks very much for a simple, straightforward explanation of how to zero a scope. As silly as this may sound, I had a heck of a time understanding how to zero. My brain told me to move the crosshairs to the point of impact. It's the exact opposite. The point of impact needs to be moved to the crosshairs, so that's the direction you dial the turrets.
Great Video! Simplified really well and made it easy for me to follow along. I'm just getting in to the precision shooting and this Video was helpful.
Thank you very much mate this has helped me a treat. Took me about 15 minutes for a beginner.
Damn ! You are a good teacher. Lots of people don’t know how to teach even though they are smart and knowledgeable.
this really helped me out thanks
I've just never had to do it or learn it so simple so fast .got it dialed right in .thanks man
Chasing the bullet hole with the center crosshairs is the most common way to sight in a scope, but there’s a better way and a whole lot more accurate way of dialing your scope in. Trying to adjust the point of impact to the center of the crosshairs can be a pain in the butt sometimes and they never come out perfectly accurate in my opinion. There’s a better way of sighting in your rifle scope and its simply just changing around your process. The gun is pointing at the point of impact and the scope is at the point of aim, so instead of bringing or “adjusting” the bullet hole up to the center crosshairs what you want to do and should do is bring your center crosshairs towards the bullet hole made for the most accuracy. For years I’ve been doing it wrong and basically lucking out, but not anymore. My scopes are accurate and precise now and it’s a simple process how to do it. Here’s a short video that explains it better than I ever could. kzhead.info/sun/eNGxkql7nmSwoYk/bejne.html
Thank u this helped me alot... Short, simple and precise 👍🏻
needed this, thank you so much sir and happy 2021! Stay safe!
Thank you so much. I'm a beginner and that was fairly simple to understand. The video was short and gave a good explanation.
excellent video and to the point. 4 to 5 mins. is plenty of time for this beginners subject. Thanks
Thank you. I am a newbie and this was by far the easiest and best explanation.
Thanks for this, I know it is very simple if you know this info, but I have found from other videos that it is difficult to explain it easily to novices like myself. Well done!
I remember this training early but I remember doing push-ups and flutter kicks with some sit-ups as well. LoL!!!! Great beginners vid...it seems to make you want to find out more by giving you just enough to be halfway useful...well done sir.
Thank you for this tremendous lesson, Mr Mullally.
Adjustments are to move the point of impact to the target aimed. Makes a difference for up and down for the beginner.
Thank you for clarification, I had it backwards for a long while trying to move the sights to the impact
4th video i stumbled on the subject matter and it really nailed it for a beginner like me. Thank You Sir!!!
Got it ! Thank you ! I’m a beginner…. This was the most simple explanation I’ve gotten on this topic.
Thank you, Sir, for the great video! I have learning disabilities and you made the process straightforward and easy to understand.
Thank you, I appreciate this video! Quick and to the point explanation i could follow.
Exactly what I needed to see. Thank you
Excellent! Super simple to understand.
Thank you so much man!!! This information is really gold!!!👍
Excellent video. I appreciate you breaking it down for us novices.
We all start the same way and it's awesome to spread the knowledge to those who want to learn
Thank you for this video! Easy to understand and implement. I was able to zero my (really basic) scope on the range today. I got an awesome cluster. My husband was impressed. Lol!
thank u for taking the time to explain. really needed it
Thanks you i dont know anything about scope i just purchased one like that and this help me to start understanding how it work thank you so much
Nice video brother. Keep up the work. Even as an experienced shooter this is a simple effective way to explain how we sight in our scopes. I'm sure many will learn well from this. Go out there and give her a full send!
This is what I needed, I was always told to shoot to the left I had to turn to the right..... Perfect video for me Thank You
🙌🏼 Superb, no fluff, to the point block of instruction!! Going from an M16 in the Army to now having my own rifles for hunting 4 legged creatures: thanks to you I can pretend I know what I’m doing at the range 😅
You made it so easy to understand. Thanks
Never sighted a scope before. Very helpful. Thank you
Brilliant way to give a point .

Nice and simple explanation. Great vid
Thank you. Very straight forward video.
Thank you sir, very concise and helpful.
Thanks. I needed a KISS refresher. This was exactly that. I havnt shot a scoped rifle since 2005. Been pistol hunting and shooting for a long time. Got confused on this... IE I was over thinking it.
Thank you for this. I have bookmarked it and pointed to this video in my forum like a 100 times
Thanks Brother
Thank you, I needed something this simple!
Nice video Kotaboy 👍🏻 waiting on some updates on that Palmetto state with the pencil barrel. "Was" going to buy that upper, but now I'm a little bit hesitant until I see what the issue is or was.
Love the simplicity of this video +1 EARNED
For a person who just started shooting this video is perfect for me! Plus gives me the basic knowledge and terminology to look cool in front of my nephews 😎 Now I'm the cool aunt .... thanks!
This was a great lesson for me. Thank you!
Putting together my first AR and needed this video
I normally don't comment, however, your explanation is simplistic and educational, You are correct that your education is not for "Snipers" because you know that the "Clicking" is a "nest" giveaway. Regardless, I appreciate your video.
Thank you so much, I just got a Remington M700, as a new gun owner I have no idea how to use it, you save my day.
Awesome dude is more clear very understanding. Thank you to the help.
Very helpful for beginners like me. Thank you so much.

Thank you for the post because I am one the benefited from this video.
Yes, I just received a marlin 9×32 rifle scope. Trying it out on my Ruger .22 pellet rifle break barrel. Thanks, this is perfect!
That's a good demo. I'm a beginner. I think it's very, very helpful. Thank you sir.
I appreciate your help. I'm that knucklehead. I'm a gun enthusiast. Shoot pretty well with handguns. Not so hot when it comes to rifles. With that said I've never been in the military nor have I been hunting. So I'm grateful for the help. Looking forward to getting out and giving this a shot. Thanks again. You're appreciated.
Thank you so much for the kind words brother
