Literally insane
Thanks man!! :)
the man the myth the legend
Incredible work as always. Would love to see your version of a First Order Stormtrooper. There are very few out there and some use 3D details (unavailable to me) also all are missing the mouth grille atop the screen mesh which makes them look less like emojis and more like stormtroopers. Im sure I could just improvise but your work has been the most screen accurate that I've seen.
That. Is. AWESOME!!!!
Mind blown!!! Great work man!!
Thank you!
I appreciate you level of detail and commitment ...well done...
Thank you!
Very cool man!
Great job Tristan! Most impressive.
Thank you!
This is wild. I thought the helmet is 3d printed. Wow👍🏻
AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! THIS IS AMAZING! You’re weathering is remarkable, and the lenses even have a green tint to them this a really good prop
Thank you! :)
Amazing job. Cogratulations!
Thank you!
Amazing work as always Tristan! Do you think you will ever do a first order stormtrooper tutorial?
That helmet looks great!
Thanks! :)
Foam Craftsmanship less gooo
That is incredible
Thanks! :)
Great video! This deserves many more views.
Thank you! :)
Amazing work bro 💪
Thank you!
I’m getting hyped for the phase one
Yes! It's coming soon!
Awesome work
Thanks!
Muuuito bom!! Parabéns! Good job
Thank you!
Nice! Imade a Mandalorian Helmet out of EVA Foam and it turned out alright, it was my first helmet made out of foam. I am currently waiting for my PVC expanded foam board to make a full Mandalorian outfit (helmet & armor)
Awesome! :)
Looks pretty good, could you give me tips and tricks of detailing .
Awesome!
Thanks!
It looks good, but how could i round it if i dont have a rotary? It looks amazing and i cant wait to do it
Have you ever considered doing the Rogue One/Mandalorean Combat Assault Hover-tank Comander? I've seen a few here on KZhead without templates and some pepakura files on etsy, though they were either very poorly done or the files were listed as "sold out"??
This is the best video tutorial, and,you also sound like @chrisfix
Hahaha thanks man!
Tristan, have you ever attempted to make the Scout Trooper helmet? I'm looking for a good template.
Wow, you really do amazing work. Any chance you have templates for a Phase II Purge Trooper? I can't find anything anywhere.
Thanks! I don't have one unfortunately.
Very nice. I purchase from you the mandalorian armour and got to build it. Do you plan to make the tie fighter helmet, just by chance? Anyway, keep on the good work !
Thanks for your support! I really like the design of the tie pilot helmet and its been on my list for a while. I don't know if I'll get to make it but I would love to :)
That would be epic ! I'm working through Tristans template for this stormtrooper at the moment and I have about 10m foam left over for another project ,😂
Upvote for tie fighter helmet!
I think the tie pilot is x wing helmet and stormtrooper face... So you should be able to put it together from that
I'm about to start working on this one. Hopefully, there won't be too much of a difference between the 8mm and 10 mm foam, though. We'll see. These templates and instructions are awesome, though.
Cool! It might be a little harder to form the parts if they're 10mm, but it should work no problem. Have fun crafting!
Brilliant! I have purchased your template. What are the dimensions though of the 10, 8 and 5mm sheets?
Awesome thanks! I'm not sure exactly, but with 1x0.5 meter of 8mm and smaller sheets of each other thickness, you should have more than enough.
Idk if I'm doing something wrong but I need to all the pieces separate and bugger right? How do I go about making it to scale?
Is it okay if I glue two 5mm for the 10mm’s. Would it matter? Since from the helmet to the armor. I don’t need enough foam for the 10mm.
It would totally work!
What size foam dowels did you use for the mic tips
This is so good!! How did you do the details of the mic tips?
Thanks! They are foam dowels on which I glued a 2mm foam circle. I scored a grid pattern on it to make it look like a speaker mesh.
Vaaaooooo👍👍👍🧚♀️
Awesome job Tristan ! Congrats. May I ask you if you mix the Liquitex paint with some water before using it ?
Thanks! I use the paint without thinning it.
@@TristanMaker Thanks for your quick answer :) Working the same but I see a lot of strokes :/ Guess it is an hard work to hide them as much as possible ?
Normaly I try to apply the coats as thin as possible. This avoids the brush strokes, but it takes more coats to get an opaque finish.
maravillosooo
Thank you!
Just seen you video it's so cool that the stormtrooper helmet, do you sell these at all nice job ?
Thanks, I unfortunately only sell the templates, no finished helmet. If you want the templates, there is a link to my Etsy store in the description.
Well done buddy! Amazing result! :) SUB!
Thank you!
Just bought this template and was wondering what is the scale for a full size print out so I can create the helm from foam? At the moment, all the templates print out on one A4 size piece of paper, any help is appreciated...
You can print the templates on any size paper and using any printer. Check out the sizing chart located in the pictures of the listing to find the scale that matches your size. Then, simply watch the printing tutorial video linked in the product description. All the information is there.
Hey . i love your work and thinking on making one for my son. What are the dimensions of the template so i can scale them down to fit my son's head?
Awesome! The templates are for a 23" head. Check the sizing chart in the pictures of the listing on Etsy to know what scale to print it at. There's also a printing tutorial video linked in the product description. :)
great job, how can i get the drawing to make it
The templates are available in my Etsy store, which is linked in the product description.
Hi, great job! What density of EVA foam should be used?
Thanks! Medium density is best for helmets. High density is better for armors.
This is just what i need thank you man also do you have the stormtrooper armor or are you planning on making it
Cool! Yes, and it should be finished before the end of summer!
@@TristanMaker Thanks man and keep up the good work
Hey there! My kids and I have been really enjoying your Star Wars helmet and armor videos. Now my kids are begging to make some armor for SD Comic Con. Are you planning to do any stormtrooper full armor videos?
Hey! I'm glad you like my work! Unfortunately I'm not planning on making stormtrooper armor templates anytime soon. But I do have clone trooper armor templates available if that is something you are interested in. :)
@@TristanMaker Thanks for responding! My boys are very interested in the Clone Armor. We are currently planning to build each of them a set. I just thought I'd ask about the the stormtrooper armor since your stormtrooper helmet looks so great. It'd be nice to have some armor to go along with it!
Would you have any interest in making the Emperor's Royal Guard helmet? I've seen patterns on etsy, but you're the only one that shows how the end result looks in foam
I have a lot planned, but I'll add it to my list in case I get time :)
good idea. i love the design of that hemet it's one of my favourite designs from the whole of star wars. it just looks sooo sleek!
Is there some way you could build this with using an airsoft helmet as a base?
Can you but the base off the helmet?
I bought your pattern and start to build the helmet. Great pattern. Do you still have the blue strips pattern? I’m interested to get it.
I made a quick stencil when painting the helmet but I didn't keep it unfortunately.
thanks for your answer@@TristanMaker
woOW
yo estoy en Perú . thanks
Is there a way to make it where the brow isn’t slanting down?
Hi Tristan bought your Etsy files, thanks. How many Eva sheets of each size are needed?
Thanks for your purchase! I'm not sure exactly, but with a 1x1 meter sheet of 8mm foam, and a 0.5x0.5 meter sheet of every other thicknesses specified on the templates, you should have more than enough.
I am thinking about getting one of your temples it will be my first build any suggestions?
I would recommend the Mandalorian or Boba Fett helmet since they are much easier to build than the clone or stormtrooper helmets :)
Please make a rebel Fleet trooper helmet!!!
Can you give the link of your Tstore?
Hola. ¿¿¿.donde puedo comprar el material necesario??....me refiero a la goma EVA ...gracias
I'm struggling getting the round mike hole pieces and the tubes to fit into all together. You did say to do this part carefully, and I can see why - it's probably the hardest part of the whole build. I'm on my third attempt at cutting the pieces and it still doesn't look like yours. Really tough to get this section to fit right. It's almost like the mic cups built from the two pieces are never as deeply cupped as yours, and don't seem to fit the shape of the part they then later fit into. Hmm.
Yeah that's definitely the hardest part of the build. If you really can't do it with the 8mm foam, I would recommend using 6mm foam for this part as it's easier to form. Glue it flush with the rest of the helmet on the outside and the thickness difference shouldn't be visible.
I am having a lot of trouble getting it SMOOTH! Suggestions?!? Seems like when I spray a layer on it adds air bubbles and I end up with spray drips. Sure it’s all in practice but I am open to suggestions! Please !!!
The key to a good finish is spraying multiple light coats. That should fix any issues.
I'm about to start building this, but I don't have 5mm foam. I have 6 or 4. Which size would you suggest I use for those pieces?
6mm would be better in my opinion
@@TristanMaker thanks!
What size paper did you use to print the templates, Tristan?
I used A4 but you can use any size you want. Simply follow my printing tutorial video linked in the product description on Etsy.
Im going to try to do that helmet but in cardboard
Cool! But I would recommend trying to find templates made for cardboard specifically since my templates won't work well. They are made for foam only since the material is flexible unlike cardboard.
How do I get the templates/dimensions?
The templates are available in my Etsy store. There's a link in the video description.
Do you have one for Bo-Katan? Helmet and/or armor?
Unfortunately no. But check on Etsy, I'm pretty sure there are great templates for her helmet there. :)
Tengo una duda los pagos en tu etsy solo son con tarjeta de crédito y paypal?
Yes, but Etsy takes care of the payment options for the sellers, so every shop accepts the same payment methods. I'm no professionnal when it comes to Etsy specifications so I would recommend that you ask that question to Etsy to get the best response. :)
do you plan to make a Tie Pilot? I need a good template :-D
It's on my list! I love the design so I hope I'll have time to make it next year! :)
@@TristanMaker sounds Good. All the best for you.
Where did you get the green visor material? I just bought the template and would like to know.
It's a tinted velding visor from Amazon.
Can you adapted this for a kid Or is this template for an adult?
You can scale the template to whatever size you want before printing so it can fit anyone. :)
any plans in doing a Darth Vader helmet?
Not for now, but I'll add it to my list
how do u print the pattern? in full size?
You need to print it in poster format for it to be full scale. Watch the printing tutorial video linked in the product description on Etsy, all the information is there.
Will 10 mm foam work instead of 8mm
I wouldn't recommend it as it will be harder to form into the right shape. A good high density 6mm foam will work better, if you can get your hands on that.
Do you have a print file which is separated in A4 or US letter? I just bought the template and i have no way printing it on a paper size that large..
You can print the templates on any size paper you want. Simply watch the printing tutorial video linked in the product description on Etsy.
@@TristanMaker Awesome :D Thanks
deseo adquirir las plantillas ., pero paypal no acepta el depósito.. por favor .¿otra forma de adquirirlo amigo ?
Hi, I'm no professionnal when it comes to Etsy specifications so I would recommend that you ask that question to Etsy to get the best response. :)
What was the scale you did on this video?
I kept it at 100%
Can you do a phase one?
It’s one of my favs
I just posted a picture of one I'm working on in my community posts! Go check it out! :)
what thickness do you use EVA Foam?
It's mostly 8mm, with some 10, 5 and 2mm. You can find all of the required thicknesses in the product description on Etsy and on the templates directly.
Thank you! These sizes are written on the templates that I bought! I mean how many square meters of material?@@TristanMaker
Hola sería posible las medidas para poder Acer algo como lo haces tú sería una pasada poder Acer le un casco de estos a mi hijo gracias y un saludo desde alicante España
Can this be used in pepakura?
Unfortunately no. The templates are a PDF file that can be printed and used directly for foam.
will it fit on a large head size?
Yes! You can scale the templates before printing so they fit any head size. :)
I want someone to make me one and the whole suit.
I bought the template and started today, I am struggling
Send me a message on Etsy so I can help out
Really struggling here. The pieces just dont want to fit together without a fight.
If you have any trouble with your build, don't hesitate to ask questions to me on Etsy. I'm always here to help.
I only see 8 mm foam on my template directions
There are 10mm and 5mm pieces
