Gronk has officially(?) retired, so here is 5 minutes of the most dominant tight end ever to play being absolutely impossible to tackle. Watch all of Rob Gronkowski's best career highlights and moments, with both the Patriots and Buccaneers, as a tribute to one of the best in NFL History!

  • He paid the price to be great. Like Sharpe said “he wasn’t the shiftiest guy out there” so he laid it on the line every play for his team and he is one of the best winners of all time. And most fierce competitors. An honor to watch him dominate.

    • Seeing a man that’s 6 foot 6 catch a ball on the run at the shoestrings was amazing but that was just one of the things that made him great. The stats will miss his grade A blocking ability and it’s why in time people will mistake someone else at the position as the greatest bit for those who watched all the games or review all the film it’s undeniable that Gronk was the Best TE to ever live and maybe a top 10 receiver of all time at any position. No doubt he will be in the hall of fame soon. So glad we got to see him play again with Tampa bay. If he was able to stay healthy it would have been a gift too fans. Too often the greatest athletes have their careers cut short due to injuries. Bo Jackson was another who was the greatest at his position but the numbers will never tell the story.

  • No Defensive Coordinator ever came up with a good scheme to diffuse Gronk in his prime. He was indefensible - the most dominant TE the game has seen. Great hands, speed, size as a receiver and an excellent blocker. Great personality too - players like Gronk definitely help the NFL’s popularity.

    • I think the only schemes that ever worked were the "Maybe we have Kam Chancellor or Bernard Pollard to try to kill him?" type of scheme. I'm not saying they were intentional, I'm just saying the only way they ever stopped Gronk was by knocking him out of the game.

      @jcarson3721@jcarson3721 Жыл бұрын
    • because the personnel they had available couldnt match up with him. if you put a cornerback to stop the pass, they just run the ball behind him. if you put a lineman that can block, he sheds the blocker, the linemen next to him pulls the block, and gronk goes downfield for a passing route. its an absolute nightmare matchup, because in all honesty he was large enough and strong enough to just block the linemen. he had zero bad matchups and dante scarnecchia teaching him blocking techniques, alltime great linemen coach for 60+ years.

    • @@DeSeanBigBlueNation there are about 7 other TE that have similar or better stats than gronk and they didn't have tom brady(the greatest quarterback ever) glued to them their entire career. The best argument for gronk is his blocking stats on runs and passes. which not every tight end does sadly.

      @crazyharmless666@crazyharmless666 Жыл бұрын
    • @@crazyharmless666 do those 7 TEs have as many records as Gronk? Gronk still holds the NFL record for receiving TDs by a TE in a single season. Gronk has the most seasons with 10+ TDs by a TE. Gronk has the most 100 yard games by a TE in NFL history. Gronk has the most receptions and receiving yards by a TE in super bowl history. If people want to put Tony G ahead of Gronk, I don’t agree but that’s fine. I would even consider Travis Kelce over Gronk. Nobody else tho, to say he isn’t a top 5 TE all time is ludicrous.

At full speed, your momentum plus their momentum makes it easier.....it's especially tougher if he side steps or jukes you a little bit, so you have to slow down first.
