Being awake jet lagged, I went back to rewatch this episode. One of my all time fave interviews. One class sharp guy!
I can sit and listen to you boys all day... FDNY has the best stories... Cheers
Great show guys bring LT.Gordon back
The Scott-pak was in a huge black box the size of a footlocker. Lol!
Lt Gordon & guys great show
ALF pumpers had "subway straps" on the bar above the hose bed. We, too, would hold those while dressing on back step. Was great in summer time rather than in the jumpseat.
Great show, I probably enjoyed this one the most. Lt . Gordon is a class act!
That's Awesome LT. Gordon. Hope to meet all of ya one day. Hope for the best bro. Thanks for sharing.
Try and get Robert “Bob” Straub in your show I use to be the firehouse buff I would always chase the engine on my bike and go to almost every call they would go to. Until bob noticed one day and said do you really come to all our calls and I said yes, He couldn’t believe it. So we became good friends and he recommended me to join the explorer program in Eng.60 Ladd 17 i finally joined but I also did a lot of runs with 45 he was the ECC for 45 Eng later then becoming the treasurer for the UFA. Get him in great guy. Go Eagles
Great show! I love hearing the stories of the old school days. I hope the new generation of Firefighters listens to these podcasts. They could certainly learn a thing or 2 from the old salty dogs. 🇺🇲🇺🇲
I enjoyed LT. Gordons HO modeling as much as his fire stories. Please tell him him that it is possible to model a working fire scene or a 1970s firehouse in HO as there are American LaFrance tiller ladders and FDNY Mack CF engines available through e-bay. The tillers are plastic and made by Busch, and the Mack engines are white metal kits by Leetown.
sometimes I like to sit down with my headphones in and some coffee and pretend I'm the new guy hearing all the other guys smoke and joke
The "issues" we humans are afflicted with know no economic level.
Love the show brothers!
Another amazing Live Show! Got to learn about those wind driven high-rise fires from FDNY and some You-Tube videos a year ago. Then I learned the reason for designing a floor below nozzle and why & how it's used. Agree, crawl on your hands and knees....NO standing up on initial fire attack just the basics!
Great Show.
Great Show tonight !!
Really great show!
Their is no pain like a Tullipain! I was a Marshal with him.
I knew Billy, but I was good friends (Dennis and I are great old friends) his little brother Dean. Tragic death.
Good shit bros you are the bestest 🤣😎😯👍
You could tell he had a lot of respect for the senior guys he started his career with. A good guy.
Agreed
Get LT Thomas Rivicci engine 248 on the show
RIP Paddy Brown
Dennis was fun and a real good officer. If he could even attempt to handle John Gaine (I could not), that makes him amazing !
Tom Evans hahaha, that guy John Gaine was crazy af.
You didn't tell him it was only a size small
Lou were you there with Buddy Cleary?
truckie117 no I don’t remember that name
