  • Have you ever noticed that Giant Anteaters do have panda legs before? It looks like a crooked panda sniffing the ground. Look closer, and you’ll see its thin snout, tiny eye, and one ear right above an astonishing panda-like leg. The illusion is caused by the colors of the anteater’s fur, as its black and white coat forms what looks like a panda’s eyes, ears, and nose.

    • I had, and that’s what drew my attention to this video. 🙂 I had suspected it’s to draw the attention of a predator away from the defenseless snout to the legs with strong defenses. Plus, it’s confusing to a predator to see an animal with two ‘heads’ when viewing from the side.

    • thoose Panda legs (bear face leg) do good idea to scared off the predators once the ant-eater head busy stuck at ant-hole during eating... but in reality Panda are dangerous , or do they ?

    • its even more amazing, since Giant ant eaters are found in Central and South America, and Panda's are not. a whole Ocean divides them, and the predators, lets not mention the things that eat ant eaters, then we might wonder how they know what a panda sniffing the ground looks like.

  • Even Anteaters understand that one doesn't overexploit resources and should be sustainable. They don't eat all the termites so they can re-build and the anteaters can feast again. Makes me wonder why sustainability is such a hard concept for humans to grasp.
