These guys are solid the way he let everyone know Javier is his head coach. It’s pretty disrespectful to keep calling Khabib coach of the year when Javier Mendez is the coach. The way he set it straight makes this team bullet proof. Hopefully Jav gets coach of the year.

Khabib himself has denied he is not the head coach. All the fighters keep saying the head coach for eagle MMA is Javier Mendez. The media both UFC and Ballator still keeps calling Khabib coach which I think is disrespectful to Coach Jav.

I am so happy for Usman! Congratulations with a great victory. Amazing clinch work, wicked knees, great wrestling. That is probably his third or second finish by the knees. I also want to point out one key moment. Umar did not forget the role of coach Javier in his victory, which is very important in my eyes. Even when he was questioned about Khabib's role as a coach (which is also important), he gave credit to a person who was with their team from the beggining of career in the UFC. Respect to the Nurmagomedov Clan and to the coach Javier Mendez.

Are there any Dagestani Americans here that can explain if Dagestan people speak only Russian or if there is a separate native Dagestani language as well? Also is Dagestan super small and the reason for Dagestani people being so rare to meet as I literally never heard or met a Dagestani person before Khabib came into the UFC.
I'm not from Dagestan but in Khabib's Facebook interview recently, he said In Dagestan they spoke 32 different languages. There are many different ethnicity in Dagestan. For example Khabib is an Avar ethnicity but Islam Makhachev is a Lakk ethnicity. I'll assume they will speak Russian to each other unless they're with the people from the same ethnicity.

Simply because his brother Islam Makhachev is a lightweight.
Makes sense Usman gets his streak more up there he can be the lightweight Champ of Bellator while Islam Is Champ Of UFC lightweight an honestly wouldnt be appealing to see those teammates clash let the brothers win against everyone not fight each other

At his age, with how stacked LW is at UFC and the fact that Islam is in title contention, it makes no sense for him to be in the UFC right now. He is so young that he can spend 5 years in Bellator and make the switch later on. If he wins the LW title in Bellator he can cut the line in the UFC like Chandler did.
