Good morning my lovelies!
I certainly had a ‘different’ kind of day than usual on Saturday.
Hiking ain’t anything new, but I had never been repelling. So, when Trevor and Tucker called to invite me along on a little afternoon excursion, it definitely piqued my interest enough to distract me from the garage.
I had a wonderful and emotional experience, but next time I’ll remember that that name of their channel is MISadventure Lab and be a little more prepared for the ‘mis’ than I was this time around.
-Holls
You did great Hollie! Thanks for coming along! It’s always fun hanging with you!
The feeling is mutual! As always, I appreciate the invite ☺️
This is one of those, "Dang it! If she can do it, so can I" moments. Great job, everyone!
It's great that you were willing to show yourself at less than your best for this. Most people couldn't do it and I think it's amazing. And you totally rocked it!
Props Hollie! So impressed with your bravery.
Holls! You are Incredible! You've just done something that mere mortals like me will never do! And overcame your personal fears. Your Scottish ancestors are so proud of you! Congratulations. Respect to your compatriots and instructors - sounded real calm and patient. Nice to have people you can trust with your life!
Conquering fears like that is really empowering.
Proud of you Holly! I think you did awesome. Couldn't have had a couple guys any better to be out there with. Thank you for sharing this adventure
Great job Holly! You the Woman! Not many people are willing to face their fear much less put it out there for the whole world see. You are amazing. Much respect from an old guy in Washington State.
Great job Hollie!! I'm glad you did this video!
Yeah, I'd be thankful too. That was an awesome experience.
Hollie, thanks for letting me live vicariously through you. I have always wanted to do this but like you I have a fear of heights and now I have severe arthritis and use an electric wheelchair.
I had a professional job, but also did technical canyoneering (mountaineering & backcountry skiing) for some 25 years. We often took newbies on 'some trips' & some liked it and some didn't. With newbies, safety and back up is imperative (safety for everybody is imperative). There is beauty and wonder in the canyons though & there is much to enjoy. She is a good sport for trying and making the effort. Thanks for the video.
Hollie, you did fine. Many folks freak out when they step out of their comfort zone. As a alpinist and rock climber I have taught many folks to rappel and it's not intuitive the first time and yes it's dangerous. With the proper folks around to safe guard you, you are in good hands. Yes I have rappelled over 3'000 ft in the dark. That is scary and hard. The only thing I didn't like was the single point anchor bolt in the sandstone. The tree was fine for a anchor.
That took a lot of courage and trust, but you were in good hands. Definitely not for the faint of heart.
Ms Lovely, you put me to tears, once again. This time, TBH, i giggled a lot, knowong that as a 50 year old man who's lost a lot and given up my past, i have better days ahead thanls to viewing you and soo mamy others accomplish things out of the ordinary on KZhead. I know i will do the things I'm meant to enjoy, once again. Always wanted to build rockets and i did that for 4 years. You inspre me to start my own channel and develop my own multimedia platform documenting the concept and sale of my platform followed by episodes showing that my life and the lives of others can be successful with the trust of a "community" that cares. Ive rambled long enough. Much love❤
omg Holly 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 absolutely biggest respect to you and proudness is highest level. that would be a big no no no from me and no way would i ever do that. you earned every single bit of my heart doing that, biggest congratulation ever. you deserve a medal for that my lovely ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Bravo!!!!!!
Holly for someone who has a fear of heights you did very well. One of my best friends had a fear of heights as well but a friend of his talked him in to sky diving and his first and only jump once he landed with the instructor, sense all first time jumpers have to jump tandem, he wanted to do it again. He did mess up his ankle but he still wanted to do it again. A short time after that and just after his ankle healed up he passed away from pancreatic cancer so he at least had that memory of that one jump that he absolutely loved.
Very proud of you Hollie .awesome job
Facing your fears just proves you can do anything in life. Great job.
Face your fears! A real character building opportunity. You did it!
Great job Hollie! Every journey starts with the first step. Even off the ledge. You can do it!
I would be totally freaked out too, Hollie! But you did it. You go girl!!!
Heights have always freaked me out, too. I had the chance to repel and bungee jump back in my twenties. I almost chickened out but was so glad I didn't. The adrenaline rush was so intense the first time, literally shaking afterward. So worth it.
Sorry for your discomfort Hollie but I was snickering and laughing the whole time good episode
Me too 😂😂
I personally believe that this to be one of the best episodes on your channel so far. Fun filled adventure despite the discomfort you felt initially. Keep up the good work
Bravo Zulu Holly. You challenged your fears and won. Good job. Go out with them again and it will be a cake walk.
In three words "NO BLANKING WAY!!".
TREMENDOUS!!!!!! great job young lady, you faced your fear and literally rappelled down it’s face👍💪🏻
Holy crap!! I'm so stinking proud of you!! I've always dreamed of doing this but have been scared to death to try and now with my health the way it is I probably never will. But watching you was so much fun!
Good show Holly! Not only facing, but overcoming your fears. Great Job!!!
You were saying everything all of us watching were thinking the whole time. Great job!
Huge props on conquering those cliffs! Remember what doesn't kill you makes you stronger 💪
And here I thought I was brave 20 some odd years ago when I went parasailing on Lake Havasu. I could NOT do what you just did! Such bravery !!! I had tears running down my face for your terror when you froze. Good for you for going beyond your fear!!
Great job Hollie. #goholliego
Hollie you did amazing today like always facing stuff you are scared of it's like just like facing one of your builds you getter done congrats girl you did it
That was amazing! You did awesome! An experience of a lifetime that most people will never understand. But you do now!
My color is impressed Holls!!! So with your diabetic condition, more videos of being active will help you and inspire others. If you want to compete, being strong, confident, and learning to stay calm will help you too! So great seeing MisAdventure Lab too 👽🗿👽🗿👽
Great job Holly. That was amazing. 👍👍👍
Wow! Such an adventure, Holly! I’m sure glad you got to experience it. Please, please please go again! You did so awesome! It takes a while to get over that fear, but you know you can. I learned how to repel in the Army and it was way different. I haven’t been repelling in 30+ years, but I would love to do it again. Keep challenging yourself, and the sky is the limit.
Wow. Just one word … BRAVE😂🎉😂🎉
Excellent job, go again as soon as possible while the feeling is still familiar and it will be easy stuff.
That's awesome, you did really well out there
Absolutely WOW! That is a huge fear to face! I can't imagine I could do this! So I am sure impressed.
Glad i got to be part of your first canyon trip you did great
Holly you did great. Much better than i could ever do. But man o man my hands were perspiring wstching you while trying to keep my eating utensils steady eating. Girl rock crawling in your jeep - YOU ARE AMAZING.
You did a great job Hollie. ❤❤
It’s very fearful the first few times over the edge, good job facing a dominant fear among us mortals
Wow, I mean we know you are awesome but dang you are AWESOME.
I am so proud of you! Great job!
Great job concurring your fear. Had a different experience with a Tarantula named Rosie. Faced my fear of spiders by holding her in my hand. I was so afraid but then she did something amazing. She gave me love! I could feel it. Tears flowing down my face, she was giving me love! Amazing things happen when we face our fears.
I’d be right there with you! Hate heights! Trevor and Tucker leading the adventure is the way to go.
Good job Hollie. Especially since you had back surgery a year or two ago. You did great!
Well done hollie. That was genuine fear in your face so to do it as easy as you made it look is such an achievement. 👏🏻👏🏻
Oh my goodness this was nerve-racking to watch and must have been 1000x harder in person!
You did absolutely amazing Holly! So proud of you!
Hollies, you conquered it you are awesome, good job
Holly, you “rocked it!” My first time I backed off a cliff I cried !! But once I put trust in the rope I could bounce and swing all over the place. That last one was a major fear factor, but you conquered it, “feel the fear, but do it anyway!” (Don’t forget to breath)
Way to go Hollie you have more guts than most I’m impressed
Wow!! What you did is amazing, having repelled myself I felt your terror!! But after, when you are sure you lived, it was awesome eh?! Congratulations!! You rocked that Holly!!
Great job guys. Thank you 😊
New meaning to #SeatTimeOverEverything
Unreal. Congrats conquering your fears. Friends and experienced people helped. You need not do it again. You conquered and respect your fear Much respect
For the win. Thank you.
You have Trevor on your team, good to go!
Y’all live in such an amazing part of the world. Way to overcome the fear and rock out (that being said-Trevor has a chill vibe-I’d trust him for about anything)
That was awesome. Great for you
Way to go Hollie!
great job. Life is better when you can get all the experiences.
The worst part of repelling (beside the heights) is once you go all the way down, you have to hike back up! That would be my nightmare! You hung in there despite your fear and that says a lot about your character. Glad you agreed to go on this adventure too!
This is AWESOME! You did great for being terrified of heights!
Awesome!
Great courage Hollie !!
Yay Hollie is a Canyoneer now!
You are so awesome holly
I love how you faced your fears and fought through it, great job
After reading the a lot of these comments, I realize that people don’t give them self enough credit for what they can accomplish. Holly is terrified of heights, and yet she accomplished this! There is nobody here that cannot do the same. If you have the ability you truly need to rethink, not wanting to do this. I know prior military personnel as well as civilians that are missing legs and or arms that still repel to this day. Don’t underestimate what you can do! Figure out a way to get out of your comfort zone and experience something that you previously thought that you couldn’t do. You’re going to realize that you have been holding yourself back for no real good reason other than fear. Fear can be overcome and is overcome by many every day.
Good job Hollie!
You did awesome Holly, way to face your fears.
Incredible gutsy. Great job
Awesomely GREAT You Faced your Fears Skydiving NEXT !!! 🤣
I’ve actually already skydive and that’s one of my favorite things to do only ever done it once but I could do that every single day
So very proud of you ❤ the scenery is beautiful.
WOW! Super proud of you.
The amount of anxiety I have watching you do this…ahhhhhhhh. You are one BAD @$$ lady, thanks for facing my fear so I don’t have to!
Way ta be a Bad Ass!!! You Dooded Dit!!!
Good job on overcoming your fears when I was in the army I used to repel out of helicopters at 90 feet!!
Absolutely HUGE bonus points to you for not only doing something that terrifies you, but also to share all the down and dirty reaction. You are totally AMAZING. Thanks fir this 😊
Way to go!
You Go Girl!! It should get easier each time.
My hands are sweating! Lol. I just wanted to give you a hug the whole time!
Holly, I started rock repelling when I was a young teen (many many years ago) you did great! Glad to see you out there doing some awesome stuff! Way to go!!! 😁
So ummmm hollie went wheeling on foot ...... Noiceeeeee
Major kudos to you for facing a fear and overcoming it! And thank you for one of the most entertaining videos!
You did great Holly even though you were scared. Heights don't bother me. But my right shoulder would never let me do that!
So proud of you! I don't think I'd have the guts to do that.
I ain’t gonna lie, I’d piss myself. Much respect for doing this. Excellent video.
People don't understand but conquering that fear is a huge accomplishment proud of you Holly
Good on you!
My fear of heights could never, you're amazing for doing this! I can do a standard indoor climbing wall that's maybe 20-30 ft, but have never been able to make myself abseil a 60+ foot cliff! Supportive friends that can coach you though it is a big help, too.
You did great. I have led many groups down that canyon.
