뮤비 2번 보니까 이해가 되네. 지구 멸망하고 (애니메이션으로 그려냄 : 불타버린 지구) 우주선에서 인간이라곤 여주 혼자 남은 상태. AI인 페노메코는 여주가 세상을 떠날 때 까지 곁에서 지켜주고, 여주가 수명을 다해 잠든 뒤 홀로 남겨진 AI를 그려내고 있네..ㅠㅠ

2:59초에 바닥에 누워있는 게 사람 정동욱이고 정동욱을 본 뜬 AI가 향기를 돌보는 듯.. 가상 현실 프로그램으로 그동안 쓰러진 정동욱을 못보게 하고 있었다가 에러로 인해서 보인것 같음. 지구가 멸망하고 나서 우주선에 남은 건 동욱이랑 어린 향기 둘뿐이고, 동욱은 자신이 없어지고 나면 향기를 돌보고 재워줄 AI를 만들고 쓰러진듯...ㅠㅠㅠ AI는 처음엔 어색했지만, 향기 상태를 체크 하거나 향기 일기를 보고 1:54 좋아하는 걸 해주면서(꽃이나 게임 등등) 둘이 더 가까워 진듯. 마지막 동욱이 혼자 침대에 있는 장면은 안전한 행성에 도착한 후, 향기는 사람이라 수명을 다한뒤에 AI만 쓸쓸하게 있는 장면같음... 저 눈물 좀 닦고 올게요.. 영화를 찍어놨네 당신...

와씨 갑자기 생각난 건데 이번 앨범 제목이 dry flower이잖아요. 이것도 잘하면 엮일 것 같아요. 배우님도 김향기님이신 이유가 있을 듯. 2:59에 AI를 보면 2:03에 있던 꽃들을 들고 있는 것 같은데 꽃들이 말라 보여요. 마른 꽃을 꽃병에 넣은 건 꽃이 생기있게?하려는 것 같은데 AI는 동욱을 본떠 만들어졌고 동욱은 AI를 자신과 비슷하게 만들려고 했겠죠. AI는 동욱처럼 되려했을거고 그럼 꽃이 정동욱의 페르소나이고 마른 꽃이 AI의 페르소나라고 볼 수 있을 것 같아요. 근데 이번 앨범 제목이 dry flower이니까 AI가 단순 AI가 아니라 아티스트로 대중들에게 보이는 모습이 아닐까 싶어요. 설명이 장황해지는데 그렇게 생각한 이유가 향기님 보면 향기님이 AI의 전원을 끄는 장면이 나오죠. 연예인들은 사람들이 휴대폰이나 컴퓨터로 보고 싶을 때 보고 보기 싫을 때 안보잖아요. 저 장면이 그걸 의미하는 게 아닐까싶고 또 브이로그, TMI처럼 요즘은 팬들이 사소한 것, 일상을 궁금해하잖아요. 인간적인 모습을 보고 싶어하기도 하고요. 그럼 이 내용이 위에 AI가 동욱을 닮아지려는 내용과 통해요. 표현이 어색할 수도 있지만 AI(아티스트로 대중에게 보이는 모습)와 인간 정동욱이 닮아지려는 거니까요. 그럼 dry flower=아티스트로 대중에게 보이는 모습이 되는데 이번 앨범은 그럼 아티스트의 모습이 제목이 되겠죠. 조금 더 의역하면 이번 앨범에서는 음악적인 모습을 보여주겠다정도로 해석이 될 수 있을 것 같아요. 처음에 배우님이 향기님이신 이유가 있는 것 같다고 한 건 위에 쭉 쓴 것대로 보면 향기님은 대중, 팬 정도로 볼 수 있어요. 근데 향기님이 뮤비에서 수명이 다한 뒤에는 AI가 있는 침대 주위에 풀들은 있지만 그냥 꽃은 물론 마른 꽃도 없어요. 팬,대중=향기, 꽃=동욱 정도니까 넣어보면 해석이 되요. 너무 과대해석이려나요

MV CONNECTIONS THEORY: Hotel Lobby: Penomeco is one of the many robots working at the Hotel. When a robot is broken/damaged, it is sent to the lab/bunker underneath the Hotel, and a new one is made to take its place. Penomeco has too much emotion, and thats seen as a malfunction, so he is sent underneath. Jaja: Hyanggi(the actress/VA) is a girl left behind in the bunker/lab after all of earth's inhabitants evacuated due to a huge explosion that was predicted to destroy the world. She's either the daughter of the robots' creator or the creator herself. Devastated after finding she was left behind, she believes she is alone, until she finds Penomeco is still here. They become fast friends(or more) and he finds ways to entertain the lonely girl. Eventually, however, because she is human, she dies. Whether it was by age or because she decided to check the state above ground and never came back is unclear. They seem to have tech for materializing endless pizza so it wasn't starvation. Insomnia: Hyanggi has long since been dead/gone. Penemeco, as a robot of the Hotel, cannot leave the lab/bunker, as it is against his programming. Stuck in the same routine that he developed while caring for Hyanggi, replaying the memories with her over and over. He remembers the day they talked about what they would do if they could get out of the bunker. She asked him, "Do you have any dreams too?" He didn't know how to answer, since his whole life had been set to serve customers at the hotel. And he can't leave anyway. _Or can he?_ he thinks now. Pushing against the glass that trapped and kept him complacent with an artificial reality, he fights his own program and destroys the borders. He has realized his dream. To see the world above. The real world. Taking the elevator up, he finds a flower like the one he technologically materialized for Hyanggi. But he damaged his systems beyond repair as he broke out. He shuts down as his hand touches the flower. At the end of "Jaja" however, he is seen with his robot friend sleeping on a bed in the same field outside. Perhaps another robot was automatically created after the end of "Insomnia", one that somehow retained his memories, and dragged the bed out.

The high quality music, seductive lyrics, and Penomeco's cuteness aside, CAN WE APPRECIATE THE CINEMATOGRAPHY AND THE VISUAL??? That opening shot alone is very cinematic, and then what follows is a wonderful story that make it seems like Meco was the human and the girl is the AI, only to reveal the opposite. ALSO. ALSO. THAT TRANSITION TO THE ANIMATION SEQUENCE. I'M CRYINGGGGG it gives me Coco Bottle vibe and also Makoto Shinkai vibe like so so so good. Also the montage sequence at the end!!! So. Damn. Good. Meco truly never disappoints.

Oh! It is so good!! I felt like I just watched a movie. I love Kim Hyang Gi, she was perfect in this role. This song gives me similar vibes as "Good Morning" and I am here for it, the creeping complexity of and fear of loneliness in the pursuit of happiness. This is why Penomeco is my favorite rap artist, he is always bringing such beautiful music that makes me feel and think. The visuals were just as complex and stunning as the whirl of emotions.
