"Welp, I tried"
"Ohh well, we tried"
"Join me El, we change the world together." *Edelgard quickly pulls the dagger.* "So you have chosen death."
“I think we’re going to have to kill her Dimitri” “Dang”
"You can't just make everything better, just by singing SOME STUPID SONG!"
Welp, that went well.
“Join me El, and we can end this destructive conflict and bring order to Fodlan! If you only knew the power of friendship!”
(Proceeds to kill herself, but unlike Luke she actually dies)
Why she didn’t tell Dimitri about the magic Illuminati is anyone’s guess
Especially due to the fact they're responsible for the event that traumatized him.
BROOOOOOO 😭
All of this, falling apart like this, is on. You! You... and your pride, and your ego. 😑
*First half of Azure Moon:* Byleth: "No Dimitri, killing people is bad" Dimitri: "Shut up" *Second half of Azure Moon:* Dimitri: "No Edelgard, killing people is bad" Edelgard: "Shut up"
2/3 of the obvious routes: "Oh. My god! You can't bash heads in just because! PUTTHATDAMNKNIFEOUTOFYOURHANDS!" Golden Deer: "Well... Who'd guess that the illuminati went against reptiloids?"
I still wonder why she did that, I really do think they could have made the world a better place working together, but I’m sure she wanted him to carve a path forward through her defeat…still, it didn’t need to be like this.
One interpretation of this I heard is that she wanted to die. She couldn't live with her own defeat/knowing that the war she started was for nothing, and so she forced Dimitri's hand (she specifically aimed for the shoulder so that he wouldn't die). She would also have been executed by the church or assassinated if she lived so she took the easy "Let me die with my empire"
I mean, in their conversation they make it pretty clear that the fundamental underpinnings of the philosophies are very different. Edelgard is also a control freak and needs a guarantee that her vision will be carried out (which is why she doesn’tsurrender to Claude). I’m inclined to believe that she wanted to die because we see in SS and VW that she wants to die if defeated to ensure a swift end to the war. Maybe if it was CF Edelgard she would have accepted as her philosophy is altered and worse tendency’s are diminished, but alas, we will never know. The real question I have is if AM Dimitri would have surrendered in swapped with CF Dimitri. Now that video that should be made.
@@rando27enco I don't think even an endgame AM Dimitri would surrender either, however, he wouldn't be as bloodlusted and obsessed with killing Edelgard, which in turn would likely make her feel more bitter about having to strike him down, instead of a king who has been lost to his madness she is striking down a good king who is fighting for his nation, this would strengthen her resolve to defeat Rhea, to ensure that Dimitri's death wasn't in vain and to ensure that future generations will hopefully never deal with such anguish.
She's on his side in the end; she could have killed him so easily with that dagger, but she aimed to his shoulder so he could safe-react and kill her. She didnt wait to live after she lost, because if she would have reached out to his hand and empire and kingdom were in a friendship - no one would accept such a king who spared his people's enemy's life. So edelgard wanted to die, because she wished honest luck to Dimitri and wanted his people to accept him as a true king
Was’nt she like Lysithea where here crest was killing her. I thought she moved so quickly and recklessly in the games because she knew her time was running out.
Gets back up “You should have gone for the head”
she deserved that guys, dont worry
real
nah bro she didn't try to kill him
@@DaRealKirYou mean she failed
@@WhopperMcNugget Nah bro She could have easily stabbed him into his neck But Dimitri wanted to spare El, but that would lead to him being a weak king of his country and people not trusting him. Edelgard didn't want that, so she threw a dagger into his shoulder so him to stab her accidentally because of reflexes. If byleth wasn't here i bet Dimitri would suicide after accidentally killing Edelgard, but then realised that the purpose of her dying was for Him to become a true king of the Holy kingdom of Faerghus.
@@DaRealKir I mean, there is no way to know for sure, but it seems like something she would do. It seems plausible.

I don't know nothing about this Fire Emblem but I can't stop laughing
Byleth owning Edelgard as usual.
