  • Hello everyone, it's been a while. For the past two months, I've been busy with this project: crafting an Odachi "Naught" used by Acheron in Honkai:Star Rail. This Odachi is truly long and heavy, but in the end, the result turned out quite well. What do you think? I hope you like my work, and I appreciate all of your support.

    • The work is as always beautiful to look at. Persoanlly though, I would love to see the sharpness rather than the brite strength. Taking a metal bar in that weight would result in the bricks crumbling in the same way - but seeing the sword cutting through anything is much more satisfying to watch.

    • My opinion is not so flattering, unfortunately. That is a sword shape, I'd have hoped for a traditional technique, from tamahagane, with folding etc, that oodachi deserves it, this one is just a modern technique sword with that shape.

I didnt know how much difference did the treatments and right forging of those swords made, but I took a course on materials for my carreer on Engineering, and damm, steel can be more than 10 times durable, harder and better in any way possible, if given the right process.

    • It could still be cool by having the blade be used as a ceremonial sword, instead of a practical one. It would still be an impressive gift to give to a noble family, a shogun or the Emperor himself - while not having to risk the impracticalities in the design.
