In this third and final installment of the Boyer Schultz Surface Grinder restoration the bed is completed, and the machine is reassembled. Then it is detail painted and we show the final reveal. Soon to come... Surface Grinder gunsmithing projects.

Good thing your doing it this year, because in N.Y. you won't be able to get anything but water base paint after 1/1/25
wow. I also think the rifle bluing process will also be banned in most states soon. That is why many companies are all Cerakote.
Nice restro on that grinder. How is the backlash on the table bed? Every old one I've worked on has been worn out.
It's very tight. I think it's small enough that it may have not seen heavy commercial use. It should be a good one.
Says painting the letters red was stressful while making us watch that whole pint of paint just sitting there waiting to be tipped over. 🥲
