Everyone who loves friesian horses cannot thank Rein enough for all he does for the friesian breed. Having 30 horses and being so careful with continuing the breed in such a wonderful way. Being careful with the breeding and making sure the breed does not get too inbred. The breed almost died out at one time Yvonne mentioned in a video one time. What a huge huge financial commitment he has made to the breed. That farm has to be a couple of thousand acres....the buildings are enormous....I think it might have been used as a cattle farm before? thank you rein for letting Yvonne make such beautiful videos. I can’t imagine what it cost to run the farm. And thank you Yvonne as always.

Friesian Horses I was lucky enough to own 3 friesian horses ..a life changing experience. They are amazing..gentle, affectionate, smart, easy to train, conscientious, love attention, love to be groomed and on and on....they can be expensive but absolutely worth every penny.
Friesian Horses it would be inter4sting to know when he first got interested in friesians and when he first brought them to his farm

Oh, I was looking forward to the Queen taking a swim, but she preferred the wading pool. She is so majestic! Queen Uniek was the perfect name for Her Majesty. Please never sell her. I fell in love with her when she lost her foal Star and my love tripled when she became Riaing Star's mom! Sheer perfection!
Isn’t it odd how you can “bond” with a wonderful animal like her through a video … very special and precious how she took the motherless foal in❣️❣️😱😁‼️👍🏻
@@mountaingirl1797 it is isn't it?!! I've seen a mare die after giving birth. She somehow got "colic" and had a serious medical emergency and passed before the vet could make it in. We had to nurture her. Feed her and keep her company. She grew up into a beautiful mare who had a very soft temperament towards humans and very trusting. This is a very big blessing for both Uniek,Rising Star and the Friesian Family.

The noise part is decidedly an American trait, even when I venture outside my hometown toward Amsterdam, which to me is a loud environment, those from the USA even top that. It is almost as if yelling is the norm and a muted conversation simply isn't in their capabilities. Why is that?
I agree also. No noise but birds singing and the sounds of big hoofs hitting the ground propelling a magnificent animal forward. Another nice feature of where you live over where I live (Texas) is that you can go confidently right into the small pond without worrying about alligators, snapping turtles, or cottonmouth snakes.

I also second Greg because I also thought about the expense Rein has shouldered for these magnificent horses. These mares have eyes in the backs of their heads! Marija bumps M.T. as they are entering the stable, and Reintje looks around like, "Don't you get too close to my boy!" Saly didn't look too happy when she had to go to the stall Marija entered. Queen Uniek was like, "Excuse me, but this is MY stall. I'm not going anywhere!"
I notice that the stable person didn't even try to move Uniek out, even though Uniek went in second. Good judgment!

Hmm interesting... I’m American and I’ve never heard that term. Where in the US are you? I’m in Oklahoma ... we see our fair share of “close” weather.. 🥵 86 degrees F is a fairly mild summer day for us. Typically gets up to 100 (or even higher some years.) Of course we have air conditioning and are prepared for the heat.

Greetings from Paisano's Roost in Southern New Mexico: We had 100 F+ temps for most of the summer. Finally got some rain to ease the smoke from the wildfires and drop the temps to 30 C. I'm envious of your green pastures. We have sand and weeds.

Forgive my teasing. I know it's hot for you guys. When we were visiting the UK a number of years ago, they said their roads would begin to melt if it became much more hot than 80 - 90 degrees. However, when we visited The Netherlands in September of 2018, it was pleasant and lovely. We still eat soup when it's in the 80s. We have 90's to 100s with high humidity in the South Eastern, US. In the South West, it reached 118 F last week, with low humidity. They have water mist producing machines over the sidewalks to prevent heat stroke of their citizens. The British didn't like for Americans to ask for ice for their drinks when we were visiting. But, this is why Americans ask for ice for their drinks. They are so used to being hot and trying to cool down. If the 80s only last a little while in your lovely country, you are very fortunate.

My dog Grace swims year round. She doesn't stay in for long when it's cold but will stay all day as long as I throw the ball. Shes as inside dog but loves her swim time. I love your horses, swimming or not. 😍
Rein couldn’t coax Uniek into the pond either. She can be quite stubborn about her dislikes. I like that she is never pressured into performing. The Friesian herd is well protected and treated with great value. I really like that! You guys are the best👍🏻👍🏻🥰🇺🇸👋🏼

The waterway/ water obstacle is a Known factor.. and not deep, or dangerous. The lake , however, is not known to Uniek, so could be dangerous. Making it " scarey"... Uniek is intelligent, will not run headlong into possible danger... 👑🐎👍🌷
