Pumpkin Armor is better because of 10% damage bonus in my opinoin but I'd prefer use platinum or gold for the extra defense
Pumpkin is better than gold/platinum because it has some decent defense and you can get it pretty much right away on Halloween, plus the set bonus. 80 platinum/gold bars is not really worth it for 10 extra defense in my opinion
If you ever feel useless, remember that pearlwood armor exists

its hard to belive how little defense summoning armor has holy hell
Yeah, they get very little defense, but you have the capability of doing the trick where you put on all offensive accessories, summon, then put on all defensive accessories with warding, and just that warding alone gives 20/24/28 defense (going normal/expert/master mode) + any other defense increases that the base accessory gives, which is something other classes can't really do unless they want to sacrifice mobility and damage

I remember a time when I had cactus armor and was removing lava by turning it into water then using bombs to explode it. I then realised that it can be used to craft a good pre hardcore set and I was very happy
if you just want the defense then go for It but if you're a summoner then even better

summoner: I got 20 defense spider armor, right after entering hardmode. also summoner: I got 30 defense wooden armor for pre-mood lord, having less defense than palladium.
Summoner has a higher skillcap than the other classes due to the short range for highest possible dps (whips) and lower defense than the rest.

@@slasher7326Summoner is the Glass Canon, after all summoner reaches the highest in practice DPS with not that much skill requires because you literally can not miss, so I guess the tradeoff of always dealing 100% of your damage is the low defence.
Would be cool to have a small icon to differentiate pre-hardmode from hardmode stuff

Ebon and Shadewood are very good early game. I was able to get up to Skeletron with them but decided to switch to Shadow/Crimtane armor. Edit: lol

I just set my date to Oct 30 to get that pumpkin armor, imo the best early game armor. I needed that boost in Master mode mobile.

I play ranger and ranger sets have lower defense to melee sets but with the right prefixes on accessories you can basically get the same amount of armor.

I like how turtle armour, a set you can get pre-plantera has more defense then vortex armour, nebula armour and stardust armour, 3 post-moon lord sets and the best armour for their respective classes

I feel like melee has more defense than summoner mage & range duo to zenith zenith zenith seeing my face
I think the defense is a good tradeoff since nebula gives you 45% damage and insane regen for both mana and health.
It would make sense that melee has so much defense if melee didn’t turn into infinite ammo, no mana ranged or magic when it started getting good. I think summoner should have near the most because summoner does mostly dodging.
Its probably becasue before melee became like this, the devs thought "damn, melee players are always gonna be up close to enemies so give em the most defence" but it soon turned out to be a mix of all classes. And summonor doesnt necessarily need the same defence as melee, but definitely higher than it is rn
@@Anyting9OnTopGrrr Maybe it doesn’t need to be too high, but it shouldn’t be the lowest with the least weapons. We’re getting summoner weapons for the first time in final updates and I’m excited to do a summoner run when I comes. I just wish it were stronger.

Summoner is really strong you just need mobility and dodging skills imo it's the easiest class among the 4 it's the only class I've finished in master mode Just dodge hits and you're gucci
@@Anyting9OnTopGrrr summoners run away lol. the only thing summoners actually do is use their whips and there range is so big you just aim in the vicinity of the enemy. Rangers, Melee, and Mages have to actually aim while dodging. Rangers have the hardest since you have to aim while dodging and if you don’t have chlorophyte bullets it sucks.

Tip for Endgame Summoner: Instead of using the full Stardust Armor set, replace the Chestplate with Valhalla Knight Chestplate, for the cost of 2 minion slot, you gain more defense, 8% more damage, and a greatly buffed health regeneration

They're beetle shells that are reinforced by turtle shells that are reinforced by chlorophyte which is one of the hardest minable blocks in the game
@cookiecia gold is better than silver so there's no need to be mad that you skipped it. Skipping to gold is something I'd just straight up recommend even
My favorite armour is the dark artist, It has a cool look and a good defense
makes sense for solar armor since your commiting to just go close at your enemies and tank some damage while still doing consistent damage
Melee has ranged weapons that deal melee damage tho

Stardust Armor, crafted from space materials dropped by a god, the final summoned armor piece, is worth as much as some green plant armor at it's weakest form

YES KZhead RECOMMENDED ME THE BEST TIME, So yesterday I crafted 2 tungsten parts of the armor and got 1 part of shadow armor. And I also got a meteorite bars from finding chest near underworld but I'm not sure to waste those bars for armor or for space gun. So I'm gonna went for shadow armor and craft space gun.
