I'm sure there've gotta be KZhead videos of all this stuff if you're interested in learning more. :)

@@louisecrosbie1673 Ah Female aspect! Good question. They may even kill their babies if they get stressed. Just heard it as algorithm is feeding me Hedgehog videos. Maybe she dont know what to do to push the baby back from that narrow door; or she is excpecting her/he to follow.

They actually don’t have spikes when they are first born , after maybe a day there spikes grow in , I learned this from the breeder I got my hedgehog from as I was there when she was first born we were watching on the camera is her mommas cage

So....a logistical question I never thought I'd ask. Are the hedgehog quills sharp at birth? Or do they grow them after birth? Is mom protected from baby quills during birth? 🤷🏻♀️
