  • This remains one of the greatest puzzles of creation: Why should souls , created in the image of Light and Love have to undergo and choose to undergo this nightmare on Earth and other lower planets? To grow and evolve or even develop into what we already are? Something is not adding up correctly here. And to add to the trauma , any mistake that is made incurs a whole ton of bad karma. Our backs are truly against the wall and the odds are not in our favor.

    • I agree, I work with people who suffered horrible trauma and it is flippant to say the least to say this is what is life is supposed to be about, and we chose it. I can never tell a child who is treated in horrific ways that this is their plan, that is too cruel for me to ever consider. So why are angels and "enlightened higher beings" into this cruel system? I mean how can they lack empathy, how can this be okay? It doesn't feel right in my heart and telling trauma survivors it is their plan, it was meant to be seems to give power to the perpretators, it doesn't make sense. Teaching people that all is pre-planned and meant to be, we are actors in some story, it is like narcissistic abuse, telling the person being hurt that it is their fault, they agreed to the abuse, wake up, it doesn't sound like love from the divine at all. Imagine if mental health therapists told people it is all their fault, and they planned it from a place of love? Fear based stories are created and this seems a fear based story to tell us this is what life is, a cruel game for many.

  • I've also had moments of fear and wondered about deception by the higher beings. Are they just trapping us and using us for evil purposes? Then it struck me that this fear is based in growing up with a narcissistic mother.. It's been extremely hard to trust that Love exists, but after years of meditation and inner work, I'm now much more grounded in a gracious Love. When I realized the soul chooses certain lessons to learn on this earth plane, it was a game changer.

    • It does bring up some questions, though. Since evil spirits/aliens do exist, maybe some of them are deceptive toward us. And there are accounts of Earthbound souls and souls trapped in the astral realms by negativity. Although the spirit world seems predominantly a place of love, you can never be too careful. Also, accidents and unplanned events also occur - not everything is part of the soul's plan. I'm not trying to spread fear, I'm being realistic.

  • Very interesting. There's something I don't quite understand though. Why would souls need to come back into body to heal things like false beliefs acquired during prior incarnations, when said beliefs must logically dissipate completely as soon as those souls return to the spiritual realm, which is a realm of pure love and knowledge ? Aren't those false beliefs as temporary as the characters we play during our incarnations anyway ?

    • Great question. Actually, every time Mel has an NDE-er or a past life-regressionist come on her show there are all these fascinating questions that get asked in the reply section. Alas, few if any of these probing queries ever end up being incorporated into Mel's repertoire of questions. Or in the repertoires of other interveiwers who have people like Robert on their shows. It'd be nice if the various youtube interveiwers dealing with this subject matter really started taking on board questions like the one being asked here. Robert and his ilk have been doing the rounds for years now. It's time to start digging deeper into some of the apparent inconsistencies of what they're saying without dismissing such questionings as a mere product of ego. It is not disrespectful to take a guest to task over a statement they've made if the goal is clarity.

I learned about this 10 years ago before it became common in the community and I wrote it off as fear mongering. But lately I’ve seen a ton of content about it to the point where I’ve been rethinking my position. Today I woke up feeling very uncomfortable and unsure about my purpose, then I found this video to listen to as I get read for work. And then my message came through- validation that it IS just fear mongering. Thank you guys!! This entire conversation as perfect!

  • Robert Monroe, a business man who learned to control the out-of-body experiences that started to happen to him spontaneously, provided another possible explanation about why souls are attracted to life on earth without understanding its unique qualities that include mortality. He wrote three books about his own transition from ignorance to remembering in the classic Journeys Out of the Body, Far Journey and Ultimate Journey. The books become increasingly challenging to understand as Monroe coins his own vocabulary for non-physical experiences, so reading can take patience after reading the first book, which is written in a matter-of-fact, reporter's understated style. He said that souls can "tour" the universe (or universes?). And that the energy around earth is interesting and different than that of other places. From our outside perspective, the energy here is vibrant, chaotic and unusual and it provokes curiosity. So souls become curious and want to investigate, but they have no previous experience that prepares them for this system, which is perpetuated by predation and mortality, with the painful struggles that go along with that inevitable process. He says that before choosing a physical life, souls are given an overview, or warning about what it means to be physical, but sometimes they don't understand or appreciate the warning. So they dive into a lifetime without any planning, just based on the impulse of their curiosity. With no previous experience, how can we know what we're getting into? Then the soul may become imprinted on both the pain and the pleasure of physical life, and seeks it again and again, until the soul actually forgets that it was ever anything but an earth-focused being. The pleasures and sensations become an addiction, and without self-reflection, souls dive into one life after another. It can then take something major, like an NDE or other spiritually transformative experience to jog our experience back to the original state of nonphysical union. He also says that aside from curiosity, souls may come here to search for a "friend" or companion soul who was attracted to earth life and then became addicted. So the outside soul "friend" comes to earth themselves, to track down their friend. And then they too may become addicted and forget why they came. The other category is a soul who was "sent" here, because their own creative energy is too destructive in the thought-responsive, non-physical state where we originate, and these souls need to be "slowed down", because events on earth may take longer to develop and unfold according to the soul's wishes, and so that soul has to learn to control their thoughts and impulses in a more constructive and thoughtful manner, or they get into serious trouble. I'm sure we can think of people who have trouble controlling their impulses who lurch from one disaster to another because they don't seem to learn to control those impulses until things get very bad indeed. As for why mortality and predation exist, Monroe says that the emotions generated by the struggle to survive, and by the knowledge of mortality, are of great value "by someone, somewhere" else, away from earth. That these emotions, especially love, are rare in all of existence, and that the earth system is specifically designed to produce a renewable supply. So in a way, a soul could feel tricked into coming here, if they had no sense of their own free will in choosing to be here and choosing to keep reincarnating. This is the only existential explanation I've ever read that makes any sense. I recommend that people read his books and also investigate The Monroe Institute, which teaches people how to induce out-of-body experiences, lucid dreams and other spiritually transformative experiences.

  • I always enjoy Robert’s insight on these spiritual/soul topics. Most of it chimes with what I’ve come to understand from my higher self and guides. However, I will disagree on the karma. Releasing/balancing and or accumulating karma is something that we’ve created in our human perceptions. You don’t choose a life of extreme contrast (playing the “villain”) and then also shoulder the burden of the karma that comes along with it. Even for the human mind, that’s very counterintuitive. We come to experience and expand through the perception of contrast. That’s it. We’re not releasing balancing, or working out any type of karma from our behavior. It’s true that the soul may choose to come back in order to complete some thing it didn’t get to complete in the previous life. If you want to call that karma, then yes. However, it’s not mandatory and it’s simply something the Soul decides it wants to experience. Not to release or balance anything. Otherwise, could you imagine the endless cycle of balancing and releasing after 100 lives?

  • PART 1 There once was a soul who knew itself to be the light. This was a new soul and so, anxious for experience. "I am the light" it said. "I am the light" Yet all the knowing of it and all the saying of it, could not substitute for the experience of it. And in the realm from which this soul emerged, there was nothing but the light. Every soul was grand and every soul was magnificent and every soul shone with the brilliance of God's awesome light. So the little soul was as a candle in the sun. In the midst of the grandest light, of which it was part, it could not see itself, nor experience itself as Who and What it really is. Now it came to pass that this soul yearned and yearned to know itself. So great was it's yearning that God one day said, "Do you know little one, what you must do to satisfy this yearning of yours?" "Oh, what, God? What? I'll do anything!" the little soul said. "You must separate yourself from the rest of us" God answered, "and then you must call upon yourself the darkness" "What is the darkness, o Holy One?" the little soul asked. "That which you are not" God replied and the soul understood. And so this the soul did, removing itself from the ' All ' going even unto another realm. And in this realm the soul had the power to call into it's experience all sorts of darkness. And this it did. Yet in the midst of all the darkness did it cry out, "Father, Father, why hast thou forsaken me?" God replied: "Even has have you, in your blackest times. Yet I have never forsaken you, but stand by you always, ready to remind you of Who You Really Are; ready always ready, to call you home. Therefore be a light unto the darkness and curse it not. And forget not who you are in the moment of your encirclement by that which you are not. But do praise to the creation even as you seek to change it. And know that what you do in the time of your greatest trial can be your greatest triumph. For the experience you create is a statement of Who You Are - and Who You Want to Be. Part 2 God said to the little soul, "You may choose to be any Part of God you wish to be. You are absolute divinity experiencing itself. What aspect of divinity do you now wish to experience as You?" "You mean I have a choice", asked the little soul. God answered, "Yes. You may choose to experience any aspect of divinity in, as and through you." "Okay," said the little soul, "then I choose forgiveness. I want to experience myself as that aspect of God called complete forgiveness." Well this created a little challenge, as you can imagine. There was no one to forgive. All God had created was perfection and love. "No one to forgive?" asked the little soul, somewhat incredulously. "No one," God repeated. "Look around you. Do you see any souls less than perfect, less wonderful than you?" At this the little soul twirled around and was surprised to see himself surrounded by all the souls in heaven. They had come from far and wide throughout the kingdom, because they heard that the little soul was having an extraordinary conversation with God. "I see none less perfect than I!" the little soul exclaimed. "Who, then, shall I have to forgive?" Just then another soul stepped forward from the crowd. "You may forgive me" said this friendly soul "For what?" the little soul asked. " I will come into your next physical lifetime and do something for you to forgive," replied the friendly soul. "But what? What could you, a being of such perfect light do to make me want to forgive you?" the little soul wanted to know. "Oh," smiled the friendly soul, "I'm sure we can think of something." "But why would you want to do this?" The little soul could not figure out why a being of such perfection would want to slow down it's vibration so much that it could do something 'bad'. "Simple," the friendly soul explained, "I would do it because I love you. You want to experience yourself as forgiving, don't you? Besides you've done the same for me." "I have?" asked the little soul. "Of course, don't you remember? We've been All of it, you and I. We've been the Up and the Down of it, and the Left and the Right of it. We've been the Here and the There of it, and the Now and the Then of it. We've been the Big and the Small of it, the Male and the Female of it and the Good and the Bad of it. We've been the All of it." "And we've done it by agreement, so that each of us might experience ourselves as the grandest part of God. For we have understood that... 'In the absence of that which You Are Not, that which you Are, is Not'. 'In the absence of cold you cannot be warm, in the absence of sad you cannot be happy. Without a thing called evil, the experience you call good cannot exist'. 'If you choose to be a thing, something or someone opposite to that has to show up somewhere in your universe to make that possible.' " The friendly soul then explained that those people are God's Special Angels and these conditions God's Gifts. "I ask only one thing in return," the friendly soul declared. "Anything, Anything," the little soul cried. He was excited now to know that he could experience every divine aspect of God. He understood now, The Plan. "In the moment that I strike you and smite you," said the friendly soul, "in the moment that I do the worst to you that you could ever imagine - in that self same moment...remember Who I Really Am." "Oh, I won’t forget!" promised the little soul. "I will see you in the perfection with which I hold you now, and I will remember Who You Are, always."

  • Rudolf Steiner spoke several times of souls who were unwilling to re-incarnate, normally after being shown a preview of the upcoming life. They are then shown what they can become if they incarnate and some change their mind and others reluctantly continue. Almost all criminals and the like come from the ranks of those who remain reluctant or who 'feel tricked' on account of the harshness of the World.

    @michaelnurse9089@michaelnurse908911 ай бұрын
  • I am not saying what Rob says in incorrect, it's not - but I strongly believe that when a soul says they no longer need to incarnate they don't mean 'forever' unless they are of a hierarchy higher than humans i.e. Angels and above. They mean until the World has substantially changed until it can offer something new - normally every 2000 years or so. The only human to have evolved so far as to escape all future incarnations on this Earth and ascend to the rank of angel is Gautama, who they call the Buddha. I have researched this idea across many different genuine spiritual teachings.

  • Thats interesting. I use a different tactic. When I have a situation or memory thats causing fear or trauma, rather than face it while in turmoil, I return to my senses where the psychological fear or trauma isnt 'actually' happening. Once awareness has re-landed in the calm still now moment of the innocent body i can then face and examine 'the root cause' of the fear or trauma (e.g. what triggered it etc.). Its always an unnecessary suffering self inflicted on the mind and nervous system. Its a cruelty we do to ourselves. Sometime this return to calm then indepth examination is almost simultaneous thesedays. Ruthless self honesty causes a lot of amused eye rolling :) A well cared for painless body is a wonderful sanctuary from a psyche making up all sorts of non sense ;) . In a way i practice reverse meditation with 'both' eyes wide open and head out of the clouds.

  • It doesn't sit right with me that we arrive blind and dumb on earth with no memory of our true spiritual home, in which we're immersed in unconditional love and infinite wisdom. I thought that we were unlimited on the other side, that we were angelic beings, and that we were at one with the Great Spirit. Coming to earth to try to make ourselves more perfect seems to me dangerous and suicidal. Simply said, I can't wait to go home. Yes, this planet is beautiful but there is way too much violence and ugliness. I've been researching NDE's for many decades and I've yet to find and understand WHY we might need to come here.

  • I think that the concept of "duality" is a root false belief. The concept that everything can be understood as "opposites". Like dark is the "opposite" of light, that good is the "opposite" of bad etc. Something either "IS" or it "ISN'T". It either exists or it doesn't, in greater or lesser quantity or degree. Dark is the "absence" of light, bad is the "absence" of good etc. The Creator does not create "fear", the Creator only creates "Love", it is the concept of separation from that Love that creates fear. Fear is the "absence" of Love.

  • What of manifesting health if someone plans to be ill in this lifetime? I would guess that a lifetime of illness and a caregiver is a bit of a simplification of the reality, where that life plan can include manifestation of health as a way out, and that is still good and complete. Or it's possible health will not happen because the person doesn't take the path of learning health.

  • I recall before my birth. I cooked it up with my family, and the Lords of karma said it was too much in one lifetime ( well i think it was them, it was a group of wise souls i came to to get it approved). They amended it, so its spread over two. However I'm fairly sure we've amended it in the meantime.

  • Do you have a video to explain the concept of "Higher Self" who "created" a "character" who will incarned? That puzzle me... I recently discover that in french book about NDE and Quantum theories and multivers but I'm not sure to understand. As incarnated being, are we a little piece of a big soul who is itself a part of God? How it's work? Thanks.

  • If you plan a life of having "not love" by an abuser, that abuser must have planned to suffer enough to become an abuser, again, what about manifesting something else in this lifetime? This sounds like a lack of free will to manifest goodness.

  • None of the above is the bigger picture answer. However these understandings about the meaning of life are what humans typically subscribe to as the reason to be. There is something we are doing that has not been done. Just give it some thought and I think it will come to your awareness. I’ve been sworn to secrecy 😆 And for the many who think that someplace that isn’t burdened and deeply and constantly troubled, such as infants being raped to death, in other words a tortuous existence for many cannot possibly be more interesting than earth, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

  • As much as I don’t like it, I think I have a way for you to explain why some know, and remember being forced to come down here. Because I remember mine . It’s much like when our parents know that they have a timid retirement child, who is very cautious and fearful, and doesn’t want to go forward in life trying things on there own. The child enjoys complacency arts and crafts and she/he is content but they’re not growing. So God and your team says, what did you like to spend the night at your friends house and the child says yes I’d love that! How would you like to learn how to cook? How would you like to learn these things and be independent? The child says yes I’d love that This is where the guides say well, you agreed to it! That’s how they get you Or another example if you don’t agree Just as parents do have to make their children do things they don’t agree to. They don’t want to do God and the guides teachers will come to the child and tell them for example just like parents do they tell their child’s you wanted to go to school remember but now you don’t want to go but whether you want to go to school or not, you’re going to have to go to school and we are going to force you to go to school now we reassured you that you’re totally capable of it, we know you’re going to have a good time and even though you won’t remember anything and you won’t visually ever see us because we’re invisible still you’re going to go with you like it or not Because it’s a parents responsibility to actually parent a child and everybody needs to get over this idea that we all have to do things that we don’t want to do that’s part of growing up So I think it’s better to say yeah there are people that are forced against their will to do things. They absolutely do not want to do. I mean, none of us would raise our kids with this idea that they have free will Cuz they don’t ! So, just say that then Yeah, lots of us are being forced against her Will to come down to earth So what just because a parent forces you to do something you don’t want doesn’t mean that the parent or God is not loving Believe me, there are a lot of parents that take advantage of the fact that the child loves them. Trust them often you can get certain kind of kids to do anything for love. But usually a loving parent does all the other things to first try to reassure the fearful child that they’re going to be fine Maybe try bringing this up to people that said they were forced to do something they didn’t want to do I know my parents had to force me to do what I didn’t want to do and I didn’t know what the heck I was doing and I made a ton of mistakes but I did grow and now I know how to do those things and pretty much my whole life I’ve been forced to do things I had no idea how to do.
