The Jets improvement from last season is remarkable especially since the didn't really change their roster other than alienating their captain by stripping Wheeler of his title. Maybe the Canucks are using the same tactic with the way they are treating Horvat and his 22 goals.

This is a common talking point, but not really true... they’ve made PLENTY of changes to the roster, just the bottom pairings, and not the core like a lot of people felt they ALSO needed to do, and I never personally bought into... I never got why it was so imperative we blew EVERYTHING up all at once, fired all the coaches, the gm, and the majority of the core like scheif/wheeler/Dubois/etc etc... ALL in the same offseason A lot of perceived “issues” here with certain players like Wheels, the locker room, etc etc, we just had ZERO idea how much Paul Maurice/Charlie Huddy, etc etc was effecting said locker room issues, given they were almost here a decade... And we do have quite a few new faces that PoMo simply would not have had up/playing with us today... that man sure loves his vet penalty killers... I’d argue the combo of bones and his coaching staff, WITH an injection of youth and players who’ve been DYING for opportunities to play with the talented core here...

Coaching change, Canucks went from the golf course to over 100pts after firing torts and hiring real good willy. The problem is, it's only a temporary 1 season solution.

Poor performance by Vancouver. But jets didn't allow us to hold the zone. They were defending well. Stillman doesn't do anything neither does garland. Jets had us on our toes with their defending. I was at the game tonight. Keep in mind their second in the central and Canucks are 6th in the Pacific. The Canucks do better on the road than at home and I scratch my head trying to wonder why. Fans still cheered the Canucks on til the very end. And Bo Horvat ended the potential shutout. Who would have guessed Horvat would put us on the board. Derp of course it would be Horvat. Ethan bear played really well and Luke Schenn was throwing some big hits and getting into scuffs infront of the net that was nice to see.
