Finally someone who likes the movie, bro so many people expected a serious top level movie, it was a comedic movie for what it was I liked it

@donut3946 they went to like 180 reviews and still got only a 59 percent rating..the audience score was even worse.

The weird speed up action scenes and ch is what makes this movie mid not the campyness
I am thrilled to see someone liking this movie because I don’t get why people don’t like it. I think Jake did a really good job. He brought the comedic chops he brought the action. I loved it, and I also heard that they are thinking about a sequel which I’m 100% behind.
It would have been a cool movie when I was 12 years old.
(Jase here) isn't that the fun of it? Why can't we all let our inner 12 year old out? We grew up. So now the only movies that were allowed to find enjoyment in are the boring realist Oscar bait films? Sometimes I wanna shut my brain off and watch guys beat each other up like its a video game lol.

(Jase here) I just wonder why it is you decided to waste your own time watching a reaction to a movie you clearly didn't enjoy while only looking for opinions that align with your own. Then, further waste your time by getting upset enough to comment about how you're upset that we aren't upset, lol. Hey man, it's ok to disagree on movies. I personally can have fun with movies like this. It's fun to embrace your inner 1995 mortal kombat. It's ok that you personally don't enjoy that kind of vibe in film. We're all friends in the theater hahaha
The actors in this film were so entertaining, I like the new roadhouse film
It was hella fun. I loved it. Is it going to become a cult classic? Probably not. Do I care? Nope.
I can't believe how much I'm enjoying the movie myself and watching others react to it. I love the original and I thought this movie was not going to do well since that's typical for remakes. They did a great job with this.

I don't the fight were cgi. I think it was speed ramping with some added motion blur that doesn't quite match the actual motion blur happening elsewhere in tne same frames. The CGI that IS in the fights 99% is stitches in long takes.
Fights looked bad though. Like comic book action.
As long as you don't compare it to the original, I think more people would like it. But Roadhouse, the original, was such an iconic movie that people went to see it thinking they'll see another Patrick Swayze and there can be only one (yes, I stole that from Highlander). It would've been cool if PS was still alive and did a cameo. Also, this one had more comedy in it. Swayze's Roadhouse had no comedy. I don't believe I ever cracked a smiĺe, except when Sam Elliott broke that guy's knee and said "Damn, that hurts, doesn't it"? One more thing, I'm glad they didn't try and write in a part for Wade Garrett. No one will ever be able to fill Sam Elliot's boots.

Compared to the original, the fight scenes are way more realistic and far more brutal. The acting it’s not bad at all, not as good as the original but, Gyllenhaal gives a solid performance. And Mcgregor ( not a fan of his career ) but for someone who doesn’t aspire to be an actor, he’s okay. He definitely POPS OUT on the screen. Honestly, the only thing that bother me in this movie was the boat/car stunts. Threw me off a bit.

(Brandon here) I went into this movie expecting it to be exactly what it was. I wasn't expecting to see a film that would be gunning for any Oscar category. However, it was a really fun watch. The entire movie felt like a video game, and I Love that. If you didn't like it then no harm no foul, but there's no need to hate on others for enjoying it.
