Bills ravens championship game and bills San Fran superbowl
Lamar tonight 73% completions, 2 tds, 11 rushes 100 yards, 2 tds, no turnovers. Bring it.
Sometimes the way these guys talk, you'd think the quarterbacks are the only ones playing.
Coming back to this after the game is hilarious. I wonder where the goalposts will get moved to now.
Classic category 3 by Mr. Wright. Ready for the two best QBs in the game to go at it on Sunday afternoon. Go Ravens!
Nick out here pulling a Mike Florio. Thank you Nick!!! I hope Lamar calls you out after the win 😂😂😂
Nick doesn't want to see the Ravens in the AFC Championship game against the Chiefs, he's scared to death!
It's not just nick. All chiefs fans. Ravens have been stellar this year
This comment would maybe be appropriate next year's playoffs if Ravens actually do something this year. But in this moment in time, this is just a crazy statement to make considering how horrible Lamar's body of work in the playoffs is...
On god
No reason to be scared of the ravens
That's absolutely 💯 with no lies detected. He keeps sticking his foot in his mouth deeper and deeper. He said the Ravens would not make the playoffs and the Steelers would win the division.
Lamar’s last playoff game was a whole 3 years ago. Now he’s clearly a much better player with better weapons and a better defense. I think he would’ve been destroyed the narrative about him being bad in the playoffs if he didn’t get injured the last 2 seasons.
Not to mention the OC is 1000x better than what he was under before
If they listen to lamar and got him a new OC years ago.
Ur right. I actually think he was ready back in 2021.
@@boogidwnej179facts
I may be a Texans fan, but this whole thing about Lamar not playing great in the playoffs is overblown. He's better now and has a better cast around him.
Coming back to this after Lamar had 4tds 🤣🤣🤣 keep it going Nick, jeer the ravens right up to the big game 🤣🤣🫡🤡
Lamar had a playoff game with 500 total yards. Yet he’s never had an awesome game?
They hate so much
Maybe nc they lost idk bc that loss was not on Lamar
You don't think he's feeling pressure? He said he was stressed? He told you hes feeling pressure.
Can’t wait to see Monday’s show…
I cant wait to hear whats said now,4td's 100 rushing 150 throwing.LJ haters are pissing themselves😂
Cant wait to hear Nick Wrong take Monday...lol😅😅
Lamar may redeem Brou and win the whole thing. Definitely want to see a Mahomes versus Jackson AFC championship.
That's what I'm hoping for too. As a Chiefs fan, I won't even be mad if the Ravens win that matchup. Lamar has played out of his mind this season. Not perfect by any means, but his style has evolved so much for the better under Monken and with better receivers. He looks calm and poised in the pocket and can absolutely sling it, even if his accuracy sometimes needs work (though a lot of those times the misses can be due to miscommunication), but he still runs like in his rookie season and it's clear that his injuries haven't slowed him down. He deserves to get a ring this year.

Lmao too bad. Bills going to the Super Bowl
When we talk about Lamar’s struggles in the playoffs, why does NO ONE mention that he has a new coordinator in Todd Monken?? It’s maddening. Ravens fans were fed up with Roman for not maximizing Lamar’s abilities for years
Yeah, Roman was great theory wise, but he had 0 pass game rhythm as a play caller. He had the plays and didn’t call them. Killed them in the Tennessee game.
Not to mention the Ravens receivers have been very mediocre as well. Hollywood Brown has been his best receiver sometimes and he is a 2-3 option at best
Context would make the point they are using weak. When they talk about Mahomes and Borrow you never hear them say anything about the talent they are surrounded by unless it is to make excuses for a bad game.
@@brianwilson510 and they were trying to make him the X, and give him a bunch of Michael Thomas/Dez Bryant routes. He didn’t get a swing pass or smoke screen until the titans playoff game. Then, in the bills game, only the team with the wind would throw the ball each quarter. The selective memory is crazy.
@@brianwilson510stroud in a bad team, everyone knows he is the one carrying them. He also has mediocre receivers, No excuses for Lamar.
Of course Nick claims he trust CJ more than Lamar. He’s been hating on Lamar all season😂
This is about a potential home game for the Chiefs if they win at Buffalo and the Ravens fall. That's why he is saying this ridiculous nonsense 😂
Last time i checked Lamar finally has reliable WRs
and better than that.. an OC that actually knows how to let Lamar free to be great. not to mention a great defense.
Not for long when his big payday hits the cap and there in nothing left to sign guys they need he better win now or there doomed
There has been teams win super bowls with way less than what he's had in his career there isn't any excuse
Hope Lamar does well but it is without a doubt Super Bowl or bust, if he even contributes to a loss in any sort of way this post season his legacy is close to ruined. This is the most stacked team in the playoffs in a long time with the most physically talented qb. There should be zero reason he doesn’t win a chip this year.
And last time I checked, both Houston and GB balled with a rookie and a first time starter this season. Not to mention the youngest roster in the NFL for the latter. Players make plays and of course who is around you matters. But if you’re “the” guy, you still play well but may lose. And Lamar has stunk in the early part of his career in the playoffs.
Well he just had an awesome game
Context: No excuses, just context. - 1st Loss: Rookie who just started in Week 12, not great yet as a passer - 2nd Loss: Got almost 600 total yard and fell behind early with an OC who doesn't know how to scheme passes. - 3rd Loss: Injured in the 3rd quarter of a bad weather game. He has not been good, but he's not as terrible as people are making it.
I think Lamar is ready to show the world he’s ready!
To be fair, lamar has improved dramatically as a passer, has gotten a significant playcalling and scheme upgrade, and a much better arsenal of weapons since the last time he played in the playoffs. I HIGHLY doubt he plays bad and the ravens lose this game. If he does win and play well he will cement himself as the clear second best qb in the nfl. There wouldnt be anything else to prove but getting a ring.
Idk man. If Josh wins a ring he’s the clear 2nd best. Right now Lamar/borrow/Allen are all fighting for that 2nd spot. First one to a ring earns the spot.
@@blackway643 Not without an MVP
@@Laurboy97 MVPs are regular-season awards. They don't mean that much outside their usefulness in building a Hall of Fame career. For example, Peyton Manning has 5 NFL MVPs, but he wasn't always great in the playoffs, which hurt his status slightly. Playoff performance and winning are the things that most determine who the best QBs are, whether that's fair or not. If Lamar doesn't win this game, it hurts his stock significantly. And even if he wins but fails to win the Super Bowl before Allen, some people will consider Allen better when it counts.
@@scratchpenny "they don't mean that much" means you do not know jack about football.
@@AskMeWhyFDI It's a regular-season award. It's a significant accomplishment, but it doesn't actually mean you are the best QB when it matters. For example, Dak Prescott was in the running this year because of his inflated stats, but he's never been a great QB when it matters. You could win 5-6 of these MVP awards, and you'll surely make the Hall of Fame, but you'll never be considered the greatest unless you win Super Bowls. Peyton Manning has 5 regular season MVPs and has won two Super Bowls, but he's still not considered the best ever. You have to win more than anything else. Few things are more comforting to Ravens fans than Nick Wright picking against them. He's been picking against Ravens and Lamar specifically from before this season even started, and will hopefully continue to do so right until they win the Super Bowl. (And probably after that point, as well!)
He doesn’t want ravens to play cheifs. He knows ravens will crush his cheifs and if Lamar beats majones he’s most likely winning a SB. 2 mvps and a SB fir Lamar, a legit debate will be if he’s actually the best qb in the nfl and not mahomes

shut up 😂
Nick is such a KC homer. Picking Texans purely in hopes of not having to play Baltimore imo
also additionally. lamar is someone who hasn't been like absolutely MELTING DOWN IN THE PLAYOFFS, where its clearly a psychological thing, or even an instance of he gets exposed in the playoffs because something about his game doesn't translate to the postseason, like no, he's just been not as great as he usually is. which is a fair thing to ding him for, but the fact is that he was incredibly young when he had those playoff games! it's not like we're coming off of the last couple years of him shitting the bed in the playoffs. nick's comments would be okay if he was strictly referring to maybe having some level of uncertainty, but to already act like he's some kind of choker that you trust a guy that has played one playoff game (even though it was amazing) over LAMAR MF JACKSON is disrespectful. he's been disrespecting him and the ravens all year, saying they weren't gonna make the PLAYOFFS, and then as they came into contention for the 1 seed, he was like yeah but the schedule is hard and i don't think they have what it takes, they then beat EVERYONE during this stretch of hard games, and it's like yeah but the playoffs. it's unfair because he doesn't do this with joel embiid, who is FAR worse in the playoffs, or with giannis before he won his title (and i think lamar and giannis is a good cross-sport comparison). like it doesn't make sense to me.
Bruh THANK YOU!!

Easy answer is adding context makes that stat weaker.
Because the Titans were the 29th ranked defense in 2020, so they didn't stop anyone all year. They only had 19 sacks and had zero pressure on the QB.

Niners fan here. The Lamar doubting is fair, but the context matters. The times when he struggled in the postseason, his supporting cast (particularly the defense) wasn't as good as they are now, even in 2019. This year, the ravens D is awesome, by DVOA it's the best defense the league has seen in several years. The defense alone will limit the opposition to 20 points at most. On offense, he's got a solid Oline, and with his new OC he's clearly gotten better at passing. As a niners fan, I'd know how much Greg Roman sucks, he was there during the Harbaugh years and the offense at its best was still inconsistent. Yeah he lacks offensive weapons outside of mark andrews (who is hurt) and they had cluster injuries at RB, but I have a feeling someone like Zay Flowers or OBJ will step up. And this is really their only "weakness" on the team. The only thing stopping the ravens from steamrolling everyone in this playoffs is themselves. They did have a tendency to let up in the 4th quarter for whatever reason. But I'm pretty sure they'll buckle down because this is the playoffs.
u mean particularly the offense...WRs have been D class...now theyre C+ maybe even B-.
Doubting Lamar is one thing, saying he trusts CJ more than Lamar is just BS. Lamar beat CJ head to head, CJ has never been to the playoffs, CJ has zero playoff wins, no MVP's and the Ravens have the best record in the entire NFL. Now upon what rational basis would he trust CJ over Lamar? There is none. That's why he's full of BS.

I love this doubt the ravens more and more it’s definitely worked out THIS year !
It’s amazing to me how highly Nick talks about CJ Stroud but completely dismisses and undervalues Brock Purdy.

Bro I like Purdy but that’s so valid. Stroud coming in as the second pick turning around a terrrrrrible team in his first year leading them to 10 wins and a playoff win after being awful vs no pressure last pick purdy joining a perennial playoff team with an amazing roster. Purdy has been great but come on there’s a difference
That Ravens defense is great. If Jackson doesn't hand it away, they'll make the SB. That defense can win a SB by itself (almost).
This is in Lamar's advantage for everyone thinking he will let down in the playoffs. Just like the 49ers or dolphin game. Lamar this year has good talent around him but Lamar will be running and passing like Vince young Texas vs USC until he wins this super bowl.
Bingo! The difference this year from any other year is Lamar has adequate talent and schene around him. So he won’t feel the need to be Superman or do too much compared to every other year:
What does passer rating mean?
The only thing is, the colts should’ve won that game against the Texans. Steichen coached a win and if it wasn’t for a huge drop, they would’ve been in great position to win. If the colts were in the exact same position as the Texans right now, no one would give them a shot in this game. So why would I expect the Texans to win here if they were essentially outplayed by the colts
it's the same stuff he did with jokic. everyone could tell that jokic was an elite player (maybe not consensus bitw, but still) that would perform well in the playoffs once he got a squad, and also wasn't as bad in his losses as nick made it seem. and yet even when jokic finally did it, he was like yeah well i needed to see it to believe it. like, no player of this caliber is just incapable of performing well in the playoffs, the closest equivalent i guess would be karl malone or james harden in the playoffs? but even they were not ever a top-2 player in the world, which i think lamar has a very strong argument for right now (mahomes is 1 imo)

All this analysis is all well and good. He’s the reason why they are the number one seed. He’s the reason why they’re not playing a wildcard along with a defense that didn’t lose a 20 point lead to Miami like they did last year - he wants to win just like everybody else does. I’m sure he wants to play well his teammates want him to play well the whole defense doesn’t want to give up 200 yards to to a running back or lose a game to where Ryan Tannehill through 14 passes he also doesn’t want guys dropping passes like they did in the Titans game or Harbaugh not kicking field goals when he should have this is a team game. This is Giannis this is Joker this is LeBron. This is Dirk. This is typical when you are a star you don’t have pressure when you’re a bum you don’t have pressure when your Blake Bortles or Joey Harrington, because nobody remembers that you played in the NFL there’s pressure because you’re elite and when you’re an elite player you wanna play well and I expect him to. Same here. If Lamar beats my Texans I’m gonna be rooting for Lamar to win the superbowl
Wilds said he's undefeated won once lmfao
CJ got this
Yes he does I am a Steelers fan but a big Ohio state fan want my former buckeye to win it all
got this L
That offense was holding my boy back
Nick just praying on the Ravens downfall. Had them missing the playoffs before the season. Has picked against them in 3/4 of the big games. Being a KC homer may have something to do with that
Calling the browns the best defense while the ravens defense lead the league in pts allowed sacks and takeaways. Disrespectful
It'd be hard to come back from a deficit in a game the opposing fans are swag surfing on you. 😂
They’re meat riding Lamar, Lamar is really good and he will be MVP but everyone just pushing Texans to the side like that haven’t been doing good
Just keep your popcorn stock up
As 1 seed pressure is really on
If Texans win then CJ is MVP. Rookie year, Rookie head coach, Thriving in a rebuilding organization, building appeal for free agents to want to come next season and seasons to come. Not to mention he beat the current MVP frontrunner. But he's doing what Joe and Baker did for the browns and Bengals. His play, confidence, and of course current success are making the Texans a very attractive and promising place to come and play. I don't think Texans fans were this confident in a QB even when Andre and Hop were there with Watson. CJ and the Texans haven't been talking or bragging about the season kinda like the lion were, they are humble and know that this is just the beginning so with that too I think his professionalism and leadership of the team at such a young age should count for something too.
MVP is a regular season award, and I'm pretty sure they've already voted for it. If he wins tho, super bowl mvp 👀
Y'all know what's going to be scary if CJ Stroud use his legs a little bit more a lot of teams don't look for him to run he could become a dual threat
Two words ... Dalvin Cook
Coach saying Bills were 7-0 by Nick's math was exactly what I thought when Nick said that.
Id just like to add my dad has been telling me defense wins championships since i was born in 96. Hes a lifelong Arizona State and New England sports fan. (New englad fan means all Boston teams and the Patriots)
