The Crashes of 2023 - UK Motorsport
Another season of British Motorsport comes to a close, and what a year of racing it has been! This year I attended a total of 32 race meetings hosted by a range of different clubs at a good variety of race circuits.
This is the annual 'end of year' crash compilation from the past season, and with a grand total of 17 damage filled minutes of quick-fire action, this was yet another big year writing off a few more race cars.
The circuits visited this year include Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Castle Combe, Silverstone and Thruxton, with racing put on by the BRSCC, BARC, 750MC, CSCC, MSVR and many many more!
What a year it has been; always unfortunate when people damage their pride and joy but hopefully we will see everyone back out on circuit again in the future.
Now we look on towards next year, I'm excited to see what it will bring with a good few meetings already noted as absolute musts for the year ahead; Happy New Year to all and I will see you all in 2024!

Those Citreon races are carnage 😂 They roll over so easily as well.
I always nickname them fling cars, along with the related Toyota Aygo's and Peugeot 207's.
Great to see the orange army out in force and responding to everything very quickly! 🧡
Me and a few friends were about 30 feet away from that final truck crash inside Druids. It was pretty scary, to be honest. If it wasn't for the tree to the left of the overpass, that red truck was coming through, a kid was hit by debris (sustained a minor cut) but could have been so much worse. Glad everyone involved was okay.
keep the videos up you're a great alternative to them nurburgring creators !
Especially when they can’t post Nurburgring crashes videos anymore
@@BritAcrossThePond why can't they the algorythm got to them?
@@cdname47they can’t post crashes from public driving sessions because the Nürburgring management doesn’t allow it anymore I think
Brands hatch claiming everyone 😂 also Citreon C1's have an automatic roll feature i didnt know about?
It's a feature that they copied off the Ford KAs.
The most shit track in the world.
@@jarigustafsson7620really isn’t provides great racing, if it was so bad why do they still have 40 events every year and one of the biggest series in the world Fanatec GT?

Claimed my poor little fiesta st at a trackday😢
You have got quite the incredible camera skills! The precision of the zooms and pans is broadcast-level, for sure. I guarantee if I were the one filming any these wrecks the quality would be deplorable
That really means a lot, thank you so much! Been filming quite a while now, I suppose practice makes perfect.
Love this! ❤
Anyone else think Paddock needs rather a few more tyres against the Armco? 😵💫
11:02 final outing for Adam in this shell 😢
That Mazda crash 2 minutes in was mental!
Being a Ford man and a classic car fan, you can probably deduce which crashes were the most heartbreaking for me
The anglia and the imp 😭😭😭
@@tofuschanus9014 Yeah that was truly upsetting
I agree. It sucks seeing the wrecks in the vintage races. On the other hand, that's what they are made for...
16minutes of reasons why ive given up racing. Crashing on your own is one thing but some idiot pushing you off, hitting you, not standing on the brakes when they spin...all things that leave you with a big bill. And C1/Ka type cars roll stupidly easily!
Everyone who races is going to crash at some point, if you can't take that, maybe you're right, it's not for you I've seen the same moaning about driving standards in the pages of old autosports from the 80s/90s, so is it getting worse, or is just all of it getting filmed these days? Answers on a postcard...
Ive competed for over 30yrs, in everything from circuit racing to rallycross, rallying, autotesting and hills climbing. Ive had my fair share of shunts but can hand on heart say ive never ever caused another competitor money by pushing them off or letting my car keep rolling back onto a track in front of them or go for a non existant gap. Maybe ive just been lucky or maybe its why im not an F1 star like most of us but probalby mostly because i have to pay my own bills and yet i still have a shed load of glass and silverware. Yes i do think it's gotten worse. There have always been shunts, always will be but the deliberate pushing off, shoving wide, not lifting when a crash can be avoided.....thats where its getting worse. At the sharp end things are always edgy, always have been, but the stupid shunts down in 15th and 20th place, they are the issue. Watch these sort of videos and you start to see the same cars, the same drivers crashing over and over.......and it's rarely the guys at the sharp end. Sorry this is so long :-)
Sounds like you gotta get into time attack
The castle Combe crashes get me
that turn in brands hatch always causes carnage
that corner though at castle combe is so difficult
2:43 - was taking pictures for the no. 76 car, can't remember if it was that day however...
I remember watching the Mazda one at Brands as it happened. Very nasty shunt!
1:57 - memories of that touring car pileup in 2007, very similar!
Almost makes me angry how 425 slammed on his brakes, causing more cars to pileup...
Probably the worst accident of the year at Brands IMO
That would be the Hillman Imp and the Ford Anglia we were still on scene nearly 45 minutes after everyone had gone home conducting the safe extraction of the driver. To be clear he was given a full bill of health after!
@@noahburridge4405either had car issues or shouldn’t have been on track given how slow they were round paddock. Terrible
@@lemonhead6994it was just dangerous to have them on track
Brands Hatch is THE most exciting track in the UK from this spectator's perspective.
Hi, I love this kind of video but it would be better if you included the track and the championship or series
Brands Hatch turn one is pure evil
They need better runoff at that turn. Both inside and outside
@@Nick_J_They're extending the run off on the outside at corner exit over the winter. Inside they're very limited by the trees, wouldn't be surprised to see some changes though soon after the Porsche and truck crashes there in last 18 months. Most likely could see them just restricting spectator access though
top quality racing 💀💀
5:57 That's my Uncle David crashing the mondeo
2:01, M25 on an average day. You avoid the crash only for some berk to hit you up the a*hole.
I saw SIM 1 Lee he is my friend in the mx5 super cup
I'm so glad that in the US we've moved away from gravel traps. Road America for example just extended asphalt and it saves a lot cars.
4:21 sadly me ;(
? Was the 2:22 to 2:26 the crash of the trash can???😂
11:07 here we see a type of species called Mazda they get angry and crash sometimes *then 3 of them crashes*
All those stupidly deep gravel traps do, is flip cars on their lid.
The s2000 at 3:20 is my mates car 😂
Are the Citroen races a circuit race or battle royale? The way those are going, the winner will be the last car still driving around the track
Thought I was watching iracing rookie fails compilation!
3:01 i Wonder what car company that green one is
Ginetta I believe
@@madwolf7966thanks
Why do they allow people to race the Citroen C1 if it's so prone to flipping over?
The same way people take the risk of crashing at 150mph+ in faster category's. But besides, the C1's aren't exactly 'Rapid', most of their roll-over's are from digging into the sand, and by that time they've scrubbed 3/4 of their speed.
@@LeeJMcRae Rolling not very dangerous on many time.
IMO the trucks are well past their sell by date, and honestly just a huge dangerous wreck fest that just destroys the tracks.
Couldn’t agree more, I used to race in the mighty minis and if they were on before you, there would be oil dumped anywhere and massive delays to repair the barriers 😐
Anyone who has an overcorrection crash and especially resulting in a roll over should have their race license removed indefinitely.
Ho no😢
It's due to the grace of God and Jesus that everyone is safe and sound

It's a crying shame there's not enough financial investment in place to make Brands Hatch a must on the F1 calendar. T' would be a beautiful thing.

People who have seen some of these Brands Hatch crashes in real life

YOU CAN'T DRIFT A MINI COOPER !!

Why were people stupid enough to decide that racing semi trucks was a good idea?

Dont speed up next time. Dishonest
If you're implying that I've increased the playback speed of these videos, then you are incorrect. Other than the Watermark, these clips are all the raw, unedited footage from my camera.
Shame stupid mx5s, everybody always crashing them because they suck
