Absolutely wash and reuse the gallon bags. Unless they are way to greasy or messy. They will eventually start to tear, but we were always taught to be frugal and reuse. There was always a bag or two hanging on the faucet to dry. Love you guys.
I reuse the quart bags too.
On reusing the bags. Depends on what you put in them the first time. Raw meat I would throw away. Anything with a lot of fat would not use again.

Most of these candy treats were very popular in the 1960’s and 70’s and even til this day but some are hard to find now. The soda bottles you bite the top off and drink the flavor drink and when we were kids we would chew the plastic bottles like gum but not to swallow. Sugar daddy is a sucker not to bite but suck, Recky. Cheese dip you can put them on crackers, you can melt it on burgers, meats , whatever you like to put it on.

I put my cat's dry food in the zip lock bags to keep it fresh. I also put the whole bag of chips in a zip lock once the chips are opened. Works great for keeping cereal fresh too.
I rewash my bags. A little soap and water, stick it over a spatula in a drainer until dry. As to WHY you need 100 bags? You will find yourself using them for everything. It does not need to always be food.
Yes you can reuse the bags. Wash them and let them dry.

Arkansas is the French spelling of a Native American word. That's why we don't pronounce the last "s". Arkansaw was an alternate spelling for a while, before statehood.
Carol, there is recipes for "cream of soup" mixes. There was a mix I've made before, and I stored in the refrigerator until I needed it. It's the base for chicken, mushroom, asparagus, and celery cream soups. The flavor is up to you. This is a good homesteading/prepping type of recipe. Good luck😊
a few years ago my dad made me a contraption that would dry plastic bags, it is just dowels standing up from a base that easily dries the bags faster & thoroughly, i've seen decorative ones in catalogs over 20 years ago that the tops would be either apples or tulips
Watermelon Jolly Ranchers is the best flavor! Loved how Carol was like “cut” and run it again. Was very funny and cute. Got Recky good.😂 Don’t worry, that was candy and not soap. It is for eating. Green bean casserole and Broccoli casserole are really good.
Turn the bags inside out and wash/rinse them put them over over glass to drain

Carol you can find recipes on the internet to make cream of chicken soup from ingredients that should be there in your stores. There is also cream of mushroom and cream of broccoli and one of celery, the list goes on, we are so lucky that we can shortcut to the already made cans. I use a couple of these every week, we even have cheddar soup and potato soup already to eat but I just use them has a base for casseroles. You can also find recipes for dried mixes such has ranch and chili and gravy, it makes it so easy to make these and have them ready for when you need them, a good staple for your pantry. I love your videos and I pray for you both and your families. Smiles.

Yes, wash the bags and reuse if you can. You can put them over a water bottle to dry after washing. More cowbell...ha! Those candies are really old school. The bottles with liquid are made of wax and you can chew and eat them if you like. You either love or hate the Necco wafers. Most of those candies you can only find in nostalgic type candy stores. I use Cheez Whiz in a broccoli rice casserole. 10 oz. of cheese whiz, 1 package of thawed frozen broccoli, 2 cups of cooked minute rice, can of cream of mushroom soup, mix together and bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. I'm sure there are recipes on their website too. And that laughing toy is hysterical. I was laughing with it too!

💙🇺🇲 The sound is barely perseptible so no worries even if you have to crank up the speed of the fan. (Hot flashes are the bane of females everywhere.) Maybe wrap a thin kitchen / hand towel around the neck part of the fan when relaxing/resting back on your chair, couch, or bed so the fan doesn't cut into your neck!? 😊

Refrigerate after opening those cheese sauces. I agree Carol that Recky shouldn'tt use his finger just for any bacteria that will now get in the food. Recky, it is not about that you both have shared germs for years it is about speeding up the expiration of the food.

I sauté cubed chicken breast, steam broccoli, and fix maybe 1-2 cups rice. Mix them together with whatever spices you want. Add some Cheez Whiz or Cheez Dip and mix. Put in a pan and bake in the oven to heat. You can add shredded cheese on top.
We also have easy 90 second rice pouches for the microwave and they come in various flavors and we have Oreo cow tails

You can mix the cheese sauce with a can of rotel or brown some sausage or ground beef and mix it with the cheese sauce. They make good chip dips

The jar cheese dip is great warm in a crock pot with cooked ground meat rotel diced tomatoes mixed together as a dip for nachos fries whatever can even have sliced jalapeños mixed into it

The cheese whiz is wonderful in broccoli rice casserole. It only works with cheese whiz actually
Carol, look up how to make cream of soups, and you'll find lots of recipes to make your own. Minute rice is convenient, but making rice is simple. Two cups of water per one cup of rice. Boil water and add salt to taste; add (rinsed) rice and a pat of butter or bit of oil. Stir well and put on a tight fitting lid and reduce the heat to simmer. Don't open the lid for at least 15 minutes. You can add time if you need to, stove heats vary.
I have a video somewhere of my oldest granddaughter laughing like that when she was a baby, one of my youngest granddaughter too. Ages 15 and 7.

(Unless damaged or unable to be cleaned.) I still use produce bags that are 15-20 yrs old. They still work! Jolly Ranchers are an all-time fave. They are sold both in bulk and very large bags (perhaps 3-5 lbs) depending on the retailer. 😊 Loved Necco Wafers growing up. Don't know if they are still the same. They had bit of a dusty coating and, once broken, a discernible but subtle flavor. (Been many decades.) SweetTarts...yum! What a fun unboxing. Enjoy those neck fans (could only hear them, just slightly, when you cranked up the speed).

You will love the bags! I lie them flat on a cookie sheet after filling and freeze. They attack nicely in your freezer space. I even freeze tomatoes and thaw in the winter for soups and pasta. They taste fresh!
Nacco wafers are a old school candy and some people like him some people don’t it’s just personal personal preference
I wash my ziploc back in soap and a little bleach and rinse well and let dry😊

It's a long 'A' as in way....Necco Wafer. They are a very old candy in the U. S. The Sugar Daddy is to be licked, not bitten off. Put it in the freezer and then wack it with a hammer and suck on the pieces. You drink the liquid out of the pop bottles and then chew the paraffin, like gum....don't swallow it. Warm the cheese and dip whatever you like in it....corn chips, veggies...make nachos.
Necco is one of my favorite candies, I grew up with a lot of those. Most are hard to find today ... cracker barrel is one of the few places that still carry them. Its acquired, when you are a kid you will eat almost anything, but once you do it as a kid it brings so many memories back as an adult you can overlook many flavors..lol Yes warm the cheese until it will pour.

When I am low on funds I eat a lot of minute rice. Equal parts water/milk, a little butter or oil, salt/pepper, and in the microwave for 5 minutes. You can make a little food go a long way with rice.
Use the " cheese whiz" on nachos with salsa.
I soak my bags for about 30 minutes in hot soapy water. Then scrub inside with a sponge , rinse well and hang on cups or glasses to drain till dry. I usually can reuse them about 10 times each doing that. Learned it from my grandmother who lived during the depression!
I've been watching a lot of homesteading stuff myself because I want to live on a homestead as well my favorites are the fit farmer polyface farm Hollister homestead and I like homestead heart as well BTW.. it's wax so you chew it like gum and then spit it out

I was never a fan of necco either but my brother loved them
My father was known as the Candy Man at his church. Every Sunday he took 4 bags of Jolly Ranchers to church and gave them to the children and the children who had grown into adults while he was doing it. Each candy also came with a hug that was often the best gift.

I love all the old timey candies. I used to eat when I was a kid! The little bottles, you drink the liquid, you can chew or toss the wax. I was hoping Choward’s violet candy would also be there.
