@@poemanx7297 Considering Street Fighter x Megaman was a Fangame that got turned into an official game. It's likely that this game might actually get backed by Capcom if given the chance unlike Nintendo. Granted this is much more different beast than Street Fighter x Megaman but the likelihood is still there.
This is SUCH an amazing direction for MegaMan.
The best mechanics of the SNES and PS games, the open world and side quests of ZX, a mix of Zero combat from X and MMZ games- all in all, this is the sequel every Megaman fan has been waiting for in one way or another.
Finally. A game that takes advantage of the X, Zero and ZX games. I thought ZX was the culmination of mega man gameplay and design but this is it

For those that don't know, the armor set pieces can be mixed and matched to give unique effects to your survivability, agility and attacks which is the whole point of this game's armor sets. The same can be done to ride armor vehicles that also affects its stats. Overall, A LOT of thought has been put into just this ONE part of the game.

Just to get y'all more hyped for this game: • *Every single combination* of hydra and phoenix armor has its own bonus effect; • This game has a New Game +, in which you can get access to *every armor from X1 to X6* , with some armor parts being tweaked for being useful/unique/fun; • You can mix and match every armor with the exception of Ultimate Armor.
I hope Zero has a lot of Armor too. Just looking at skill trees alone jkb put a lot of thought 🤔 to it. This is like 40+ Hours of gameplay for 1 character if you want to get all the hidden stuff.

@@gtx21 from what I've seen so far, it seems like Zero trades out the utility of getting a bunch of different weapon/armor options for fighting-game-level combos that he can unlock and dish out (though of course, there could end up being more stuff for him in the future) (edit to add) the wiki also describes certain "Hidden Arts" that Zero can pull off that combine the effects of certain moves if he does them one after the other fast enough; e.g. if he does his crystal up-slash followed immediately by his ground-punch move (i don't remember the exact names of the moves), his ground punch causes rock spikes to jut out of the ground in all directions out from his fist

According to what the team said. The game takes place after an alternate ending of Megaman X5 where Zero survives and X doesn't inherit Zero's saber, reaplacing Megaman X6 storyline completely.
What ending does zero "survive"? Cuz i only remember him always getting destroyed and the difference is that X memory is wiped or not and zero remembers doctor wily.

Really? I don't remember it was said that the alternate ending would be Zero survived in X5. I always assume that it takes place after the bad ending with X not remembering Zero, and the lack of mentioning Zero in the demo heavily hinted that. I remember footage of Zero's intro stage take place in the lab, awake in a lab which can only mean he did died but someone retrieved him to the lab.
@@TylerAngelle to get the "canon" ending in megaman x5, Zero must destroy the Eurasia Colony in the Shuffle mission without become a maverick and choose X in the third sigma stage to fight Zero. In the ending, Zero is "dead" and X keeps his saber and the memories with him.
we never said such thing. we said the game takes place after x5, technically making it an alternative x6, nothing about zero surviving or x inheriting sabers.

I still feel for JKB losing all the data and not backing up before, that really set things back. I stopped listening to the OST on Dominic's channel awhile back for I want to experience it in game.

Yep he lost almost all the data supposedly I think it was around 2010 but also he never releases public demos and to be honest he has taken so much time, I think the development has been way too ambitious, I hope it does come out at some point but waiting an eternity on this fan game kinda killed the hype.
I wish Capcom would approve this fan made game by JKB, give the man a pay check & hire him, help finishing the game & release on all platforms. Such a great game but has been in dev for over 10 years & probably will never be released to general public. Such a shame 😞
I bet the game will tease you with the ultimate armor, like after defeating the third maverick the repair jumps to like, 70 or 80%, leading you to think ''oh man, only one more maverick and it'll be available again' only for, after the fourth one Strike will raid the base and steal it, or something along those lines. Can't wait until this releases, whenever that might be. Game looks amazing

From what I've heard this is an alternate timeline set after X5, meaning anything X6 and beyond does not exist. No Axl, no Zero series, no ZX series, and no Legends. But most importantly... ...no Flame Hynard.

Because the peeps behind the Code Veronic remake were actually asking for money.
In addition for asking for money (which is bad, you cannot make money with an IP you do not own), it is possible that Capcom themselves is working on/planning a Code Veronica Remake of their own, and thereby it infringes on their own project line. Mega Man X: Corrupted is just a fangame, using the IP in a way that doesn't step on any design toes of what exists, without the lone dev asking for money for it in any way, shape, or form. And thankfully, that kind of work Capcom respects, and when this does release in whenever, I hope they recognize and spotlight it, like they did Street Fighter X Mega Man.

@ZeroEdgeir I wasn't aware of the money part, makes more sense now. In hindsight Resident Evil is their bigger franchise over Mega Man so I understand them defending it.
Its like if MegamanX and Super Metroid had a baby. And that baby grew up and married Castlevania SOTN to have an another baby and that baby designed this game. Its gonna be AMAZING!

when I play any PC game, I have that specific X Corrupted video in the background, it sounds so good, and when I first saw that video, my mind was so blown you'd think my area turned into Nagasaki in WW2.
Just be sure to temper your expectations on a release date. He's been at this for well over a decade. He wants it to be perfect, so expect to wait at least a few years more. It'll release when he's perfectly ready to do so.
Yeah I have no expectations from the jump he said it wasn’t gonna have a release date just that it would be released when it’s finished and he’s been consistent on that since the beginning . If it comes out soon or in a few years cool I’ll still play it and be excited if not I just move forward in life. Either way I wish all the best and if it does finish soon it will be well worth the wait in the meantime I just keep up with his twitch from time to time to see the updates

Its nice to see that some dialogues are changed too, if you look at the intro stage dialogues and the previous one, they are a bit different, I still miss "You're just another maverick" that X says and the uses nova strike lol

@JKBGames been at it for so long.... Man, those guys are legends. But JKB really takes the cake as he handles majority of the programming alone (hence the long development time). If this was properly funded, heck this wouldn't take too long. Sigh.... wish Capcom had just funded these team. Man, look at all those details.... RPG elements like dialogues and stuff... You could grind in megaman Zero 1 and 2 also Actually if you wanted to get a hundred percent you were required to grind pretty hard those crystals, but you had to grind new skills for weapons too

I'm expecting Capcom to either try to DMCA it or not even notice it once he finally releases it, and then fans to justifiably be upset with Capcom if they claim he used their property. My response, "Why is it that a fan is spending 10+ of his life (WITHOUT MAKING ANY MONEY FROM IT) making the dream game of the fans that YOU never even came close to making." Capcom has endorsed Street Fighter x Mega Man, so they could surprise me, but this game legit just looks like the greatest Mega Man X game in literal decades (I'm saying even since even X4). Nah mate, they can't add a category for Fan Games. This game is right now passing through one of two phases: Capcom Doesn't know about it and don't care as long as they don't know. Or Capom know about it and is allowing the game to be created to create the same scenario of Megaman Vs Streetfighter. Because he IS receiving donations through Twich (as bits if I'm not mistaken, but I don't know how bits works there, if it's a currency to use only on twitch or not). He is also working with at least four-five more people, and he makes streams every week now instead of once a month. Something changed, something shifted, but he is working way more in this pet project, and the additions he's doing is making the game look way too professional. This looks like something Capcom would make. And it's super strange that Capcom said or did nothing so far. Even if the game is, incredibly good. I do believe they are somewhat backing him up so they can sell this on consoles, and I would totally buy it as long as the PC version is free and this guy right there makes some money out of it too because he deserves.
It's a fan game so he's definitely putting it out for free and it's on PC when it comes out. Also yeah they're probably going with the Megaman X Street Fighter move. They are more lenient with Megaman fan games than they are with let me say a major franchise like Resident Evil. They also let other Megaman fan games like Megaman Unlimited and MegaMan Revolution live without a C&D. So I think we'll be straight here
Did the author say he was gonna release it? I read somewhere on his channel he wasn't planning on releasing it at all, but I've only seen bits and pieces of this fan made game over the last four years. Does anyone know if it's ever going to release?

I think you forgot that the Nova Strike need time to recharge energy after using it. This is a fan game so it’s not really similar to the original series but having cooldown before using again is cool
Yeah it's using the X8 cool down time to balance the game and keep from spamming it which isn't a bad idea considering how powerful the UA is. Also it's supposed to get an upgrade called the Corrupted Ultimate Armor I guess once you defeat strike
also the leveling system is kinda like megaman zero series

Capcom literally used Comet Woman's stage background on their website, plus the developer got invited to Capcom of Japan if I'm not mistaken.

Not to discredit this awesome fan game, but mega man ZX did the open world mega man thing way earlier, and it’s official. That said, it’s very much rough around the edges, and ZX advent, it’s sequel, is a lot more linear.
