  • Watching Lewis is a little bit of an anomaly. He's very stationary in most of his fights. Which gives the false appearance of being an easy target. However he's excellent with his timing and reading his opponents. Long way of saying he's great at setting up traps.

  • Curtis Blaydes was already unconscious when he hit the mat. Talk about one punch knockout power. Derrick Lewis definitely has that. I would love to see a rematch between Derrick Lewis & Frances Ngannou. Lewis won the first match in 2018 by unanimous decision. Ngannou is a different fighter now and both has scary one punch knockout power. That fight could go either way. It's just a matter of who would land their bomb first.

  • I love everyone blaming Herb. He went as fast as he could to push Lewis off. And it's not like Blaydes was in any trouble before the KO shot. It was one punch and a big delayed reaction for Blaydes to go down. Herb did what he could. It looked bad because of those two extra huge shots, both of which were completely unnecessary.

  • What the f was Herb Dean doing? He gets so much credit for being the best ref but man, he almost got Curtis killed in there. He was all the way across the cage halfway turned around when Blaydes was out cold with his head bouncing off the campus. Lewis definitely didn’t need either of those shots afterwards but that’s on Herb Dean. Hard to watch…and the uncontrollable groans were hard to listen to. In a heavyweight fight like this, the refs need to be on their toes at ALL times.
