    • @@wildcat31772 yep. there is a reason tony hawk can still do what he does at 50+ and one of those reasons is definitely the pads/ helmet etc. i think i would rather still be skating in my 50's. the man that skates for the fun and doesnt care what he looks like is the bigger man to me. if all you are about is fashion. that almost diminshes the baddass-ness of not wearing pads in the first place. but i get it, i was young once and never wore pads. i still dont really. just wrist braces/ gloves. but they are totally worth it. i had massive wrist problems from falling on them so much and it can be hard to hold down a job if you keep re-injuring them. after the wrist braces its a non issue, falling no loner re-injures them. i respect andy so much for just doing his thing and not caring what people think. plus its a cool oldschool vibe anyway in my opinion that helmet etc.

    • @@JonCrocker Usually it's the true posers and try hards that trash other people's skating. We don't need or want those kind of people in the skate scene. It's alot of this new generation of skaters coming up that look at skating in a competitive and sport like way due to comps like SLS. Skateboarding is SUBJECTIVE which is why I really never got into competition skating. What I may think is a creative line or trick another person may look at as stupid...that's the beauty of skateboarding, it's an ARTFORM. It honestly just saddens me whenever I watch skate clips on social media there are ALWAY'S the few kid's that talk shit. Then you ask them for THEIR clip's and they have NONE.
