I'm 26 now, and I had really rough teenage years with anxiety and depression and overall just feeling very angry. I can absolutely say, it does get better. You learn so much about yourself and about how to cope and manage your mental health, and although it may not completely go away, you lean to have an emotional intelligence a lot of people don't have, and an understanding of so many feelings and how to manage them. Try to understand and accept your mental health and acknowledge that it's something you WILL learn to manage, allow you to be a more empathetic person and that you aren't alone. Stay strong, learn as much as you can about yourself and what you like. At your age that's the most important thing. :)

Same here. I have cancer and I'm not allowed outside, I'm not allowed to see anyone except the people who live with me. They have to wear masks everywhere because of me. "I'm not a surrogate parent for your children" - Sean. Thank you! Exactly, his content is entertainment not educational. If you want more educational content or a specific kind of content for your children then just encourage other channels.
I think they're reviewing whether *"kids watching him is a good idea",* not whether *"he is a good content creator"*
I have a feeling some parents just leave their kids alone with a tablet or something, in the same way they’d put them in front of a TV. I’m not a fan of either, but it feels a bit like KZhead Kids is literally designed around that...

"I'm not here to be a surrogate parent for your children" THANK YOU!!! Content creators are here to provide entertainment in whatever form is easily created by them and best consumed by audiences. Parents are responsible for teaching and reinforcing the appropriate messages, worldviews, themes, and ideas that they want their children to take from the content THEY CURATE for their children and, if a particular creator's content either does not align with or runs contrary to those goals, then it is a parent's responsibility not only to monitor children's viewing habits, but to explain in a rational way why children should not appreciate the messages put forth. If we all followed this, then no one would ever need to be worried about creators "sending the wrong messages" or "indoctrinating children" because we'd all be pointing ourselves and our children to content that reinforces what we truly believe to be positive messages. The only argument that is relevant here is that content platforms need to stop selectively censoring messages that THEY disagree with and put the job of monitoring and curating content back in the hands of viewers and parents.

For that "positive message" thing, I can attest that your videos and your content has made me rethink some of the nasty things in my brain, and reshaped those thoughts to be healthy again, you put out ideas of good, and it's really just up to the viewer to decide whether they will accept those ideas or not. This man, Jacksepticeye, is genuinely one of the only KZheadrs left, who actually shares his good will, a great instance of this is one of the videos he did donating to smaller streamers, he started it by saying (basically, not exact wording) "I don't feel very happy today, so I'm going to make other people happy and donate to them". If that is not one of the most pure and kind things to do, then this world is fucked and I don't want to exist with the people who can't see that, JUST because he says "bad words". The message is the importance, but those people just see a loud man saying fuck, like? Okay? I've seen hundreds of people saying in his comments that watching his videos helped them through really hard times, I can also attest to this, life gets hard, mental health is difficult to figure out, but having someone spreading a message about "positive mental attitude" is so much more impactful than someone saying curse words. I don't know who shoved a stick in whoever wrote that reviews butt, but I hope they can get it removed and learn to enjoy life again.

I can’t leave a review on that site, so I’ll leave it here: Jacksepticeye is a great channel. He swears (your basic curses, not that bad) so parents may want to keep their young kids away. I figured it out: The only people that don’t like his content probably only are listening to him in the background and cuss words tend to stick out when you’re not paying attention to what is going on. The parents are not watching it with them.
Also, the 1 star rating is from the company, not the parents.

This is like when Rotten Tomatoes critics hate a movie that the audience loves
man thats stupid as hell lmao
The experts are almost always at odds with the audience. FFS look at cuties or the Dave Chapelle special and the Amy Schumer special. Illustrates my point perfectly.
At least on rotten tomatoes, the experts are actually an expert in that stuff, its just that they are sometimes too pretentious. what makes you an expert in youtube content anyway?

Listening to the elementary kids outside, I think the aiming thing is quite important. Jack says it as an expression of shock and surprise, when I have heard kids call each other names so personally vile that I won't even say them today.
Yes! As long as you're not swearing AT someone (unless deserved imo) it's fine.
Like seriously, swearing is the least hurtful thing kids can experience these days.
Yeah true, I don’t get how swearing developed the huge stigma around it. It just really doesn’t seem like that big a deal. I mean, if I were a parent, it’s not like I’d be swearing around my kid and teaching them it’s alright to swear anytime, I guess you just gotta read the room, but I do believe it’s not a huge deal. Jack, don't let the swearing thing get to you. I'm a 36 year old mom of 3 girls all under 15. I've watched you for years and now they do too. You are an amazing entertainer with a huge heart and I would much rather my children see your positive influence on the world accompanied with a million f bombs than for them to watch a "family friendly" vlog channel where they sell their souls for views on a daily basis. I can literally feel my brain cells melting 20 seconds into a "______ Family" video, and there are so many of them out there . Good on you for staying who you are. P. I’m a forty-seven year old woman, with no kids, who’s sick and tired of far less understanding people (unlike yourself) complaining about adult content from adult creators when KZhead Kids exists! I honestly think this rating site pissed me off more than it did Seán! I found his Channel in 2017, but have made a valiant attempt to catch up on as many previous videos/ series as I can. And, at no time whatsoever, did Seán *EVER* pander to children. But it’s like he already said: Most of these negative reviews stem from people who have “an obscured line of sight.” One insignificant thing like swearing- Seán was twenty-two when he started doing KZhead; that’s considered an adult age in *EVERY* part of the World- and the people who take issue with that never bother to see all the good that Seán, and others like him, have done. That quote, by the way, is from a one-off game Seán played in 2017 called Far From Noise: An extremely powerful and emotional game during which the all-too-relatable struggles of the protagonist made Seán cry! I’m willing to bet that none of these parents saw that video… or Presentable Liberty… or That Dragon, Cancer… A Normal Lost Phone… You Left Me… Missed Messages… The list goes on and on! Wow! This *REALLY* pissed me off! I think I need to go meditate. Before I keep going down this rabbit hole, let me just say thank you for your supportive message. It’s nice to see some parents out there who acknowledge that it’s not a content creator’s job to raise their children.

When he said that though, it reminded me that this community is still like a family.
I wish parents would finally understand like the internet doesn't babysit ur kid. It's entertainment just like movies, you as a parent need to review it
Yeah, it’s really fking entitled to expect people on the internet to modify their content to suit your children, just because you have children that go on the internet.
“I’m not here to be a surrogate parent to your children” Too late Jack. Wayyyyy too late.
Jack basically raised his subscribers😹
Yeah he basically raised everyone born from 2005-2007

This is a fine example of "people judging by the cover of the book" But it's parents edition.
I went to go see the reviews for KZheadrs on this site and they're all gone.
I died laughing when he said, "I'm not here to be a surrogate parent." Your kids are going to grow up one day and exposed to all this at one point. Growing up is inevitable.
Thanos crying in the corner*
Sean: "I'm not here to be a surrogate parent to your children!" Me: *fucking standing ovation "well said sunshine, more parents need to understand where you are coming from here!"
I love this comment
I actually clapped my hands and nodded furiously when he said that 😂👏👏👏
@@kokkolintu3528 I started head banging. KZhead and "parents" need to understand that content creators aren't supposed to do their job.
All of this!!!!! I clapped and nodded with him as he said it. I'm a mother of two and I watch what my kids are watching all the time. If I don't like it, I turn it off. Simple. I spend time with my kids too. Also, kids pick up things from thier peers at school or even other family members. Kids are sponges that soak up things around them. I hate lazy parenting and finger pointing some of these people do.
I’m a mom and tbh I can’t imagine *ever* being the type of parent who thinks Seán would be a bad influence on my children. I’d be absolutely thrilled for my kids to be exposed to/influenced by his empathy, acceptance & compassion for others, his positivity & morals, and his outlook on life. It’s all the same things I try to embody and project.. Plus he’s just super fun to watch, and being entertained by a really good person is a win-win for everyone.
In my opinion you have made me feel so happy and enlightened for the past 2 years. And your my favorite youtuber and after I watch some of your videos for hours on end I always feel enlightened.
I’m a lesbian and I’ve watched Sean’s videos since I was about 9 years old. I never EVER felt like he was trying to attack the LGBTQ+ community, not even once. He is so genuine and one of the most unproblematic KZheadrs there is. If you don’t want your kids watching his videos, don’t let them. His channel is not supposed to cater to children nor did he ever say it was supposed to. I already knew all of the words he used and I knew you’re not supposed to use them as a kid. He’s not your child’s parent, let the man do what he wants with his channel.
“I’m not here to be a surrogate parent to your children” can’t be said enough.
As a mexican, swearing is a part of everyday language and that's beautiful, the amount of emphasis and flavor you can add to communicating with others is just amazing
Same in amirica
Same in the USA
So true❤
Indonesian can confirm
From Canada I swear with my managers and bosses. They're human. We swear. Parents swear too. Is what it is.
i just wanna say this and its that; i have been watching Jack since 2015 and i used to watch him in front of my mom all the time and my mom limits my things and she NEVER told me i couldn't watch him because she and i have always loved how positive and amazing he is. And while he swears a bit he isn't excessive with it. he also is so open and welcoming to everyone! Also I love your content Jack and you will always be my favorite youtuber, hope you have an amazing day!
I know you probably won’t read this but I wanted to let you know that I’ve been watching jacks vids scince 2015 and it’s been the best few years getting to com home after a long day school and binge watch some of the wacky games that jack played, I remember the skate videos and the cap that one day just disappeared, I remember him telling us about his cabin, I remember when jack made feel really excited to watch his videos as they were the best part of my day, if was tired or upset about something at school I would watch jacks videos and I would always end them with a smile, I just want to say thank you Sean for you commitment to this platform and staying positive as I’m sure you’ve affected so many lives in a positive way. Your a positive and genuine KZheadr ( and you didn’t drop off like sundee did ) so I and everyone else would like to say thank you.
I've literally grown up with Sean. I started watching when I was 13, and I'm now 19 and in college and I work as a musician. It's been one of the most rewarding experiences to grow and change with him. He influenced my childhood for the better and kept me going through times of poor mental health. Sean is genuinely one of the most sincere content creators I know of, and if folks can't see that, it's their loss.
I was 13 now I’m 18 graduated still watching
I was 11 when is started watching and I'm almost 17 now
Love him so much ive been watching him since i was 12 and im 17 mate. I’ll never leave his channel
i was 9 when i started watching him im 15 now jack is literally my childhood
Same! I started watching this channel when I was 15 and now I'm 21 👁️👁️ A five star review from me for sure
I loved that for one of Mark's reviews all it said was "WAS THAT THE BITE OF 87!?" and it was a 5 star
Has anyone else felt like swearing has just been absorbed into everyday language? I don’t know anybody in my life that doesn’t use “swears”. I feel like as the years go by, we acknowledge that they’re just words and literally mean nothing because they’re not at someone
My cousins have watched you for years, and I wasn't too much of a fan for a long while, but when Call Me Kevin started his "feud" with RT games and he started bringing you up in conversation, I decided to check out your channel again when it popped up in my feed. You've grown on me like a root grows from the potato.
+1 positive message "I'm not here to be a surrogate parent." Such a poignant thing to say also I have heard plenty of positive messages from Sean and I love watching his content.
crap...can't like more than once 🙄 cause seriously...this right here is TRUTH
I’m a 43 year old mother and I have been watching Sean for years now. I also let my 8 year old son watch him. I think he is a wonderful person with a good heart. It makes me sad to see people say anything negative about him.
While Pigeons grandma was still alive, me and my cousin wanted to show her how funny Jack was, we were about nine at the time and went through the first fnaf video with her, she laughed and had fun with us but did emphasize that it’s okay to watch this stuff just never say it. I miss her so much.
jack is one of the few youtubers i watch now a days, in some ways he reminds me of other wholesome youtubers and i'm so happy that he's still here.
the thing i like the most about jack is that besides all the 'swearing' this website seems to say he does, (which isn't nearly as bad as some of the reviews made it out to be), he always does his best to be real with his audience, and gives very valuable advice that is extremely helpful. i've been going through some problems recently with discovering myself and it's been pretty hard to deal with, but a lot of the advice that he gives about mental health and accepting yourself has been helping me get through this and i'm really grateful that somebody like him exists. he does joke around a lot and curses here and there but that's not all there is to him, he's actually very sweet, caring and very genuine. he has helped a lot of people get through some of their own problems and i hope he becomes more known for that
He’s one of the only KZheadrs that has a positive attitude whilst simultaneously swearing his head off
Depends on the personal perspective on what "a lot" of swearing is. For some, he's normal or even a little amount of swearing. For others, it's a lot
@@luckless772 very true, good point
Honestly, I've been watching Jack since I was like 8 or 9 and never has his swearing had a bad impact on me (his PMA has had a good impact on me though), my parents swear just as much as he does but I only ever started swearing when I wanted to lmao. Also yeah, the only time I ever swear is for comedy purposes or just as a filler word, I actually swear way less when I'm angry or upset
stan loona
Hey Jack, just wanted to mention how touched I am that you referenced a younger time in your life where you were less then ok with the LGBTQ+ community. So many others will claim to have always been an ally but we’ve all been to middle school and know that isn’t true. People change and people learn and people grow, I think personally think you are a shinning example of a good person. Thank you and keep it up.
Really nice comment, I wish everyone online thought like this.
I love Sean and his channel so much. I don’t understand how people can possibly hate on him.
This video is basically people going, he swear so he bad. If swearing doesn't sit right with you don't watch jack's videos. Honestly you don't even swear that much Jack. If swearing or foul language is ever a con, you have so many good qualities that outweigh these so called cons. You keep going Jack, you are amazing.
i love how jack says he’s not gonna be a surrogate parent but he legit raised some of us.
Oh my god yes, I've been watching jack since i was 8, and i basically grow up with him
This is the MOST positive community on this platform. I love how Sean makes me laugh and how many problems he takes off my shoulders. I have been with Sean since the cabin, I have been through all the ups and downs and I’ve loved the whole ride.

I’ve been a subscriber for a long time since 2016 and honestly I can say that Sean is so positive! As someone who is LGBT I always feel very safe in this community that he has cultivated! And when Covid was in full swing, Sean honestly pulled me out of that funk. There were days to where I’d know that no matter what there would be something to watch, enjoy, and take my mind off things. whether it be new or old or a good rewatch, It was always positive! However, my favorite experience on this channel is the fundraisers! The fact that so many people from all over could come together and work towards a common goal always made me feel like there was good in the world. Thank you Sean! Thank you for everything!
"I am not here to be a surrogate parent to your children!" That may be true, and very much respected, but you have always been like a friend and this community like a family to everyone in your community. It sure as hell felt like a family to me when I was in it.
Sean's Reviews: Genuine nice compliments explaining how he is misunderstood Mark's Reviews: IS THAT THE BITE OF 87!?!
Seán is a great human being. How did the Paul brothers have higher reviews? If parents are putting them on a higher pedestal than Jack, I’m concerned… Jack has always promoted positivity. You’ve lifted me up on my bad days Seán. Your community loves you Seán. We love your honesty, we love your charity, we love your sense of humor, we love your inclusivity. There are so many things that you do right Seán. Be proud of what you’ve accomplished. We are all excited to see what the future holds for you.
Didn't one of them do drugs (not sure about this one I heard someone say it but it might be wrong) and the other go to a famous suicide forest while live and find a body?
@@Maxine_5674 As far as the one about the suicide forest then yes that did actually happen (he also filmed the body and showed it). But for the one about drugs idk.

I don't even know Common Sense Media review KZheadrs. I kinda like the idea of it, but the site can be a bit conventional. On one hand, it acknowledges queer and women characters on Paranorman and others (I think it said that Isle of Dogs is a bit white savior iffy), but sometimes it bloody misses the point (it gave Daria the series a bad score for making teens antisocial or whatever)
"I'm not a parent for your child." But... but... but Jack. You raised 28 Million kids
5 minute crafts has 3 stars, that is disturbing, the amount of dangerous "hacks" they have on their youtube videos... its been picked up by SO many youtubers.

My boyfriend passed away a week ago leaving me completely devastated..I've been regularly wearing my red PMA hoodie again though I've been having difficulty coping, it's nice to have Jack to tune into.. Jack, in the time that you've been on KZhead, you've helped me through 2 rough breakups with guys who had only malicious intent with me. Now you're helping me through this. I've never seen you as anything other than the kind hearted person you appear to be. I think the cursing is an issue in other countries such as my own, the United States.. People seem far more sensitive here regarding words, especially around children imo. 🤷♀️ Thanks for being here gamer.
Sorry for your loss gamer also I agree Twitter has a meltdown every time someone does something remotely creative or curses
I'm sorry for your loss. Jack has helped me with the loss of my grandfather too a few months ago and everything before that. I owe alot to him

we love you sean i think i can speak for more than just myself when i say that you helped us through a lot of difficult times
I might have only discovered your channel recently but i've gone back and watched a lot of your older vids, too. You are a funny, genuine, and entertaining content creator. I don't think you swear that much. If anything, I guarentee, the people who wrote those reviews about you swearing too much probably swear more then you do. Lol. Just keep being you and people will keep watching. I know I will.
I think it's funny because I've left many messages on this channel about how I adore your sincerity and intelligence Sean. And I remember how you have said many MANY times, "we're all 18 here" and "there are no kids allowed". Like you made it VERY clear this is an adult channel, while still being kind and wholesome
My son came across you when he was around 5 on KZhead back when you were in the cabin. We had a long discussion about not repeating the language he would hear and to this day he swears far less than his peers (he's now 12). Even after 7 or 8 years I'm still here at least once a week and so is my wife. You are a genuinely nice person and a great entertainer, just ignore the American Puritans and their demonizing of swearing. Canada and the rest of the world are grown up enough to handle you, lol.

I've been watching Sean's content since he started out and in those years he has grown and matured in front of us. He was loud, swore a lot and was very outspoken with what he would say but he always, ALWAYS clarified that he didn't mean no offence if he detected any. He's always had an open mind in front of the camera, being thoughtful to all kinds of people, and portraying that he's aware of mental illness and triggers and all kinds of trauma inducing behaviours. He's only one man, he can't be perfect but he has shown on many occasions that he takes his audiences feelings and emotions into account. I personally find his swearing and some of the crude topics he mentioned to be hilarious because I understood he was joking and his sence of humour is very entertaining, at least it is to me. I will continue to watch Sean because he is a genuine person and although I don't know him personally, I feel like I know him because of how connected he is to his fan base. Sorry for the tirade :)
This channel is like a beacon of shining positivity in an otherwise bleak sea, It would be nice if people could look past the minor things and actually see the real take away that people gain from watching someone be as vibrant and full of joy as Sean is in his videos, Always pleasant to watch new videos as they come out.

Because parents don't get the basic fact that it's their job to educate their kids about how swearing is viewed and to avoid using it. Instead they insist everyone else never swears so they never need to have that conversation and as soon as that kid is older they inevitably swear like a sailor behind their backs

Fun Fact that I think you'll appreciate Jack : I love and miss the P.M.A stuff you did, and wondered why it felt familiar to me. Upon a little digging I found a punk band named Bad Brains that was around in the 70's in America. They have a song called attitude that coined PMA. I think it's neat how love and positivity is the same throughout time, space, distance, language, culture, etc. (Oh and btw the tunes still shred.
I do love how he appears as one of the most vulgar channels yet he is arguably the nicest channel on the site.
