I have a 2006 5.4 s500L and Im totally in love with the car. The only issue is the problems you will have with the electronics, the suspensions or the gear box. Its a very reliable engine and the comfort is supreme.

@@arturocifuentes7490 i cant afford anything because no job will hire me and you keep jacking up the prices of used mercedes that arent 100% in perfect condition. in england you can a used mercedes in 100% perfect conditon for 4000 usd. because its a domestic car. and im sick of the cars in the USA being undertreated or not well maintained and if they are perfecct their 50,000. thats insane and illegal, its a used 2004 car. its not worth that, badge or not. then if so my car should be worth the same.

@@arturocifuentes7490 im buying S500 l can you tell me your experience,found one recently got new gearbox,all new suspension parts,everything is new and oem. Just worried about engine i see they complain about chain guides or something like that.

@@VelesMemes Hello Veles! Regarding the engine main chain, I had to change it about 280.000km and the cost was about 1500€. The engine, in muy opinion, is very reliable, but you have to think in all the periferical tools and systems that need the engine. Check it carefully all the electronics and all the vibration and noises when driving. I have had other problems during 50.000km (from 275.000 to 325.000km) in this parts: - Engine silentblocks (not normal, they are hydraulic and a little expensive) - Auxiliar chain broken. Not so expensive. - Lack of cooling liquid. The problem was a plastic connection very old, solved with low cost) - Lack of hydraulic system. The problem was a little , solved with low cost soldering) - Problem with suspensions because of old silentblocks, ball joints and air suspension. This is my main headache with the car, still not solved and can be very very expensive. The previous owner changed once all the air suspension. - Battery: there are 2 batteries, 1 for the engine and other for the gadgets. Never got changed so it´s normal I have to change them. - Transmission cardan: got hit in any time and made vibrations around 100km/h. Can be fixed but it´s expensive. I know that my car has the gearbox refurbished and sometimes you feel very uncomfortable hit when the oil is cold, but only takes some minutes to be ready. In my opinion, the engine is very stable and you dont have to worry if the oil has been changed when you have to. The problem is the rest of the electronics and systems...! If you like the car and you have a good price, buy it. It´s a pleasure to drive it, but you have to think that it takes like 11-12L/100km when going into highway@130km/h and about 13-15L/100km when city. If you have more detailed question, please let know. I learn every day more things about this car.
