I started brushing my teeth for 2 minutes twice a day using the upside and down motion at 45 degrees gumline since one and a half month. The inside of my teeth started becoming more yellow and getting plaque. My dentist told me that plaque is normal. I just switched to arm and hammer toothpaste recently

How to brush your teeth? I like to brush my teeth with sonicare toothbrush. I used it for many years. Just need to replace the heads . Engive toothbrush heads can fit my sonicare toothbrush well. A great brand and worth to try it.

If it gets on your mirror and faucet, clean it. You clean the anterior teeth better when the toothbrush is angled that way.

Damn....I just came back from the dentist and apparently I have been brushing my teeth incorrectly all these years. Now I have exposed sensitive dental bone because I literately been brushing my gums away. And they don't grow back :(

He didn's seem to worried. He said just learn to brush your teeth gently, in circulair motions. Part of the pain also has to do with sensitive gums, which in my case would bleed quickly because scrubbing them doesn't clean them between the cracks of the teeth. The pain comes and goes, although I must say it's getting less. A toothpaste he advised and which I have been using strenghtens the exposed bone of the teeth. It's called Sensodyne, which I am using now. Results might take a month. Also, you can get the exposed parts covered with some tooth lacquer, which helps a bit.

Thanks a lot, i've been using a toothpast wich is for sensitve gums, it started to show results quickly, the pain disapared in 2 weeks , from now on i will give 5 minutes to tooth brushing and i will be more gentil, thanks a lot again.

+andi watt and +Alex Anghel I have similar problems. Nowadays there are many alternatives for gum recession including bonding, crowns, and gum graft surgery. I have had a gum graft surgery done on my teeth to recover my gum line and it has helped to remove the sensitivity on those teeth for the most part. Overall, my sensitivity in my mouth has been improving since I've been trying to make a good effort in improving my brushing habits. Many people have some sort of teeth issues as they get older. With today's modern dentistry you can repair damaged teeth and gums. Don't feel discouraged! Get the necessary treatment, improve you brushing, and you will be fine!

what y got is changing your habit. Brushing evr morning and night is very simple, but if u take it wrong way, u will get serious prob when u get order like tooth abrasion. Nothing is too late, and there is many thigs u have to learn even the way to brush ur teeth
