bro is too smart for all of us here
Here to impart the secret sauces bro
this was helpful thanks!
I'm glad, thanks for commenting!
One suggestion, if possible, always give points/steps at the end of video which will summarize the video as I have seen in many videos people do the same thing and its helpful.
Dudeeee I thought you had a million subs judging by your video quality, which is phenomenal. Keep it up! And thanks for the tips 😄
Hahaha I've still got a long way to go, but I hope to continue to improve my content and give what people would enjoy and benefit from watching! And you're welcome, I hope it helps!
I was genuinely surprised seeing "347 subscribers", I was expecting several tens of thousands somewhy, no wonder
Hahaha hopefully my vids keep getting better and more attention so that i get to that sub count soon
459
Maybe its the consistency which isnt helping in algorithm or else content is good as per his efforts
Straight to the point: I LOVE it. Thank you for the tips!
I was waiting for this comment to see if people would appreciate me getting straight into it 😂 I'm glad you liked it!
I was watching the video with the preview mode, but had to specifically click on it and press like for just how straightforward it was. Good stuff, thanks for making it :D
@@Salim_Ahmedi really appreciate it too, feels like you actually respect your viewers time :)
Happy to help!
Haha that's what this channels about mate, hoping that we all use our time better :)
Accuracy is Everything! Back in the day, we used manual typewriters (which taught us to hit each key with equal force), and real paper, which is very unforgiving of errors. Do it right the first time or waste time doing it over!
Definitely! And if you do it right, you reinforce the muscle memory to then hit it right again and again. Thanks for your comment!
Very relatable. I began learning typing in first & second grade, (1989-1991), the school I went to must of been under-funded or something, cause we had only one computer, a couple of IBM Selectric Typewriters and the rest, can only be described as looking like the Reminton Standard Portable.(circa 1920's) We all took turns at the different machines. So only one student at a time could use the PC, while the rest of use struggled trying to correctly align the paper into those antiques, and constantly using white out. LOL.
Underrated channel for the quality that you produce. I can already see that you'll be big in a jiffy. I'm digging a setup tour soon!
This means a lot, thank you! Let's hope so, I'll make one when i hit a nice sub milestone hahaha
I clicked this video from your video on reading faster and I agree that the quality and actionability of your videos is phenomenal and you’ve got my sub from here on!
Glad to hear you liked it, appreciate the support and i hope my videos help 🙌🏽
I totally agree with this short burst thing, I use Dvorak (my first keyboadd layout) I was told to do long tests, I couldn't do more than 100wpm on 60 second tests due to the stiffness of the board I was using, but also my consistency was terrible its been about 4 years since then and I type upwards of 220wpm in bursts and like 160-170 on longer or more complex phrases, I did this for mobile aswell and my wpm went from 40-75/80 in like a month, and now I consistently type at around 75 while writing stuff like this : )
Yeh honeslt long tests are a bit pointless in real world use, bursts is where it's at haha Glad to hear about the improvements mate!
Really cool tutorial. I was 12 watching this (my birthday was 2 months ago) and I used to get around 50WPM. Watching this video got me around to 70WPM on a lazy day and 100+ on a good day. Really cool Straight to the point.
That's a v young age, glad to see it's already helped, and hope you continue to improve 💪🏽💯
I think you are going to have one million subscribers this year. I congratulate you
Ahaha that would be good, but it won't be something I'm expecting - thank you for the support though!!
Thanks for the video dude, I will implement this!
You're welcome, hope it helps!
Fire video bro. I appreciate that you just got into it right off the bat. Good stuff
Appreciate it bro, hope you can try the tips out!
Best how to type video I've seen. And I've been around a while. Thanks dude.
Glad to hear it :) i hope it helps 🙌🏽
Video has the quality of 1M channel
Ahaha thank you! One day will get there 💯💪🏽
This is one of the best (most practical) video on this!!!
Glad you think so!
Another bangin' how-to, Salim!
Appreciate the support, I hope it helps!
Thanks for the info!
You're welcome!
got the video that i needed top quality and easy to learn
Hope it helps!
Awesome, thanks for the tips! I'm surprised you only have 1K subs and not 100x-1000x that!
Hope it helps! Ahaha hopefully as i get better I'll get to those numbers
You just earned a subscriber! Keep up the great work! Thanks for the great tips!
Glad it was helpful, thanks for the sub mate

This genuinely makes me happy bro, hope you try some of these things out xx
Thanks a lot! Thanks to you I have a concrete plan on how to write faster!
You're welcome, all the best!
Inspired and impressed truly. Really you do real work
I hope it works!
Thanks for the tips! It's amazing!😀
Happy to help!
This guy is criminally underrated for such high quality.
Love the support my guy, hopefully I'll climb up a lot more 💯💪🏽
I really needed this video thanks a lot I’m learning to type with 10 fingers I was at a peak of 108 WPM with two fingers so this really helped me very underrated video much love ❤
This is nice to hear mate, thanks and good luck ❤️
Thank you so much. Please keep making videos. They are very helpful.
Appreciate the support, it means a lot!! And will keep it going, next one is tomorrow at 15:00 GMT ;)
Sometimes I love when I can figure something out by myself. I trained myself to do about 20-30 15 second tests on monkeytype as opposed to 1 minute tests and I find myself able to focus on the short text more; which allows my hands to get use to pianoing
That's great to hear, thanks for commenting!
This is all solid advice - subscription earned.
Appreciate it, hope my future vids help too!
You can get real sentences in monkeytype also. Just change the mode to "Quote" instead of "words" or "time." You can also click on "punctuation" while in "words" or "time" mode and it adds some random punctuation too.
I couldn't mention everything since i aimed to make the video short, but yeah it's just a solid website tbh
that is true, however I feel like typeracer does it better.
Wow man, I'm truely impressed for such content. Besides of the Quality of the video wich is impressive, this is one of few useful tips videos, I mean real tips not just fillers to youtube video, like Straight to the point. Keep it UP 👌🏻🥂
Appreciate the kinds words bro, thank you! I hope you find it useful :)
You deserve way more subs (also epic fantaisie impromptu reference at 3:10)
Thank you! Need to keep getting better and hopefully results will show Hahaha I'm glad you noticed the piece!
thank you for these golden tips. I've hit a plateau around 100 wpm and I'm going to use your tips to get better keep up the good work
You're welcome, thanks for engaging and I hope it helps!
Thank you for the help
You are most welcome!
you just earned yourself a sub. Cant believe you're at only 500! Look like a real pro!
Thanks Austin!! Hopefully just need to keep at it and get better, thanks for the compliment :)
Yo bro under 1k subs you’re a legend this video is so good
Appreciate it bro, been going up quite a bit recently, so hopefully I go exponential soon 💪🏽💯
Video quality next level man 🔥🔥
Appreciate it bro 💯
I discovered you today and you have given advice on about 4 things i have been personally frustrated with not being able to do. Thank you for your channel❤
I'm glad you find it useful, thanks for the support!
i still can't believe that people do not know about the ctrl+backspace thingy, kudos on getting a hit video mate :)
Ahaha i agree and thanks!
The algorithm chose you!! Keep up the good work there :))
Thanks, need to keep it going 💪🏽
Underrated talent❤
Loveee ❤️ hopefully get more attention soon w new videos, jus need to keep at it
Pls keep up the good work man
Thank you, hope it was helpful!
Damnnn you underrated asf hopefully I can get past 120 with the syllable thing, never thought to type that way
Ahahaha thanks, hope it works for you!
Follow up, I been grinding for a few days and just got my first 132 wpm on a typing test, this video real 😃
Nice one!
It was really helpful.. Fantastic!🌟
Thank you, I'm glad it was!
thank you so much
Happy to help, thank you for commenting!!
underrated channel!
Thanks mate, hope it helps and that I see you in future comments!
Might not be much but I'm one more sub to your channel, thank you for the helpful tips
Definitely is appreciated, so thanks for the sub, and I'm glad it was helpful!
The idea writing syllable by syllable is really help to speed up. Pressing multiple keys in a time to write syllable is even better. Good sharing.
For sure it helps a lot! All the best :)
Great videos!!
Glad you like them!
you're great! cheers!
Ahaha thank you, i hope it helps!
@@Salim_Ahmed all you said sounds reasonable and I have to check it in action. I'm going to update you in few weeks. I hope it will work as expected.
bro your english is so good nice
😂😂 thank you i live in the UK my friend
3:41 Agreed, those are so helpful. I use them all the time, saves so much time instead of hammering backspace.
Exactly! I"m hoping if there's literally one thing people take away from the video, it's this 😂
damn bro only 1k subs? thought youd have at least 30k. keep up the good work youll blow up soon
Appreciate the support bro, need to keep it going and hopefully that won't be too far off 💪🏽
Good advice!
Glad you think so! I hope it helps :)
Wait yo! I didn't know those keyboard shortcuts existed! That's awesome!
Haha they're great, and you're welcome!
thanks for mentioning the shortcuts :)
No worries!
Pure value man! My current WPM is 65~75 (Imma say 70 for good measure). Im gonna apply some of your tactics and update my speed in a month Halfway update: Got a new computer with a different keyboard layout, got used to it. Averaging 85 wpm, can I reach 100?
This sounds like a plan bro, good luck with it and deffo give an update!!
Half way update? 😂
The Ctrl+backspace is something no one I know uses except me, it’s just so useful
Yep exactly, more people need to be using it!
@@Salim_Ahmed yeah u can mess up a phrase notice it later then u can ctrl+ back arrow and ctrl+ backspace it
Yep this one's solid too for quickly scanning through sentences!
I know the Ctrl+Backspace shortcut, but it takes me some time to position my index fingers on F and J keys. 😢 Is there a faster way to do it? 😊😊
Thank you!😊
You're welcome 😊
Gosh, this video is perfect.
I hope it helps!
this helped me a bit of typing faster thanks
I'm glad it helped, thanks for commenting!
Really helpful ❤😊
Glad you think so!
hearing Fantaisie Impromptu out of nowhere got me to spring outta bed and play it on my piano lol cool vid, subbed
Ahahaha let's go 🙌🏽 beautiful piece I hope the vid helps and thanks for the sub!
Going to save this video for when I reach two hundred words per minute so that I can break the six hundred barrier. 😎
Let's go cabbage you can do it!
the syllables typing thing is super helpful. when i type i notice that i type wayyy faster if i just think of a word rather than thinking of the letters of the word
Yep for sure, creates a lot smoother strokes when typing which definitely helps! Probably one of my favorites of the tips
An excellent job 👍
I hope it helps bro!
it was to helpful . it's underrated dude. (btw don't wanna go personal but were you born in india? or do you know hindi?)
Thank you, I'm happy it helped :) Haha that's a normal question to ask, not personal at all, but nope i was born in the UK and I'm not Indian either ahaha
I noticed your Corsair gaming keyboard. Would you recommend using clicky blue switches for faster typing? Ive only have use the keyboard on my Macbook Pro 2013 for school and business work. And have used my Razer keyboard with red switches for FPS games.
Nope, mechanical keyboards increase key travel, making it slower to type (although more comfortable). I type faster on my macbook keyboard, but tbh the difference isn't too big for real-world use for it to matter to me ahaha
Thank you so much, your video helped me so much, within 3 days I went from 60wps to 87wps
I hope it continues to improve, thanks for commenting!
nice, i will follow this as well
Hope it works well!
Yep, thanks@@Salim_Ahmed
I'm a big shortcut guy, but there is more efficient for deleting word, which is to change trough the terminal the KeyRepetitionRate of the keyboard, now it takes really low time to delete anything.
Hmm fair, if it works for you that's good bro!
FINALLY a good typing tutorial
I'm glad you found it good - I hope it helps :)
You deserve 5 million subscribers. I'm in middle school and type about 110 WPM on average (TypeRacer, top 1 percent!) and this is very helpful! Hope by the time I finish high school I can type 200 WPM!
Haha you're too kind! And that's an amazing speed for your age, well done! Hope school goes well, and I'm sure you can reach those speeds if you keep at it 💯
I’m going to use some of my tactics to get faster at typing in the future. I use a school Chromebook to type and my fastest WPM is 141. My fastest WPM on a 5 minute typing test is 98
Love to hear it, keep it going mate!
@@Salim_Ahmed tysm
the syllable stuff is very very interesting, and when i try it myself, it actually shows the flaws in the qwerty keyboard layout. very very interesting!
For sure, it does get a bit awkward at times because of the layout, but it generally speeds things up! Thanks for engaging!
Nice 👍
Thanks 😁
Cool! Good luck in school m8.
Thanks mate, good luck w whatever you're up to as well!
As much as I want to learn this skill, I don't think I will use it in actual work situation since I'm working as blacksmith 😂 But it's still looks cool tho
Yeah maybe a different kind of practical use of hands compared to how you'd use it bro hahaha, thanks though!
Za best!
Hope it helped!
Dude I went from 115 wpm to 175 wpm with this technique!
Glad to hear it helped! Thanks for commenting :)
What's the name of the tool in 0:26? I used to use it but I don't remember the name 🤔
@Salim_Ahmed Good video, how long have you been touch typing ?
Thank you! And honestly probably a long time, like maybe a decade
All I can say is remember the og’s
100% the support means a lot, I have an email folder for all these comments too haha
Thankyou
You're welcome!
"I know the Ctrl+Backspace shortcut, but it takes me some time to position my index fingers on F and J keys. 😢 Is there a faster way to do it? 😊😊
Honestly bro just have to do it 😂😂 don't rush to do it quickly at first, jus keep it slow and over time you'll naturally become faster because of muscle memory so you won't have to think about the positioning
Great video ive used it and ive went from 60 wpm to 125
This is really nice to hear, happy to see you've made progress!!
Let’s go I can now start typing 600 words per minute
Fits the nascar narrative hahaha
WOW, i'm surprised you responded, usually people don't, great hearing from you!@@Salim_Ahmed
I try my best to reply and will continue to do so whilst it's still manageable hahaha Thanks for commenting too it's appreciated!
Also what is the piano piece? Fantaisie Impromptu maybe?
Yep!
Does anyone has suggestion on how to improve typing speed meanwhile constantly switch between 2 languages? Sometimes how the word spell in another language messed up with english word and vice versa. Although I use the same burst technique and able to gain muscle memory for several words, it gets harder for new and unfamiliar word.
That's normal. You can only type fast if you have the word ingrained into your muscle memory. New words are obviously new.
God may bless you, and for this my friends I was going to had carpal tunnel as a programmer who first love God and people and then programming. And then I met serenade, a software where you can write, code, manipulate your pc and custom your own commands and I assure you that anyone can speak faster than you type. And if you write essays there is word dictation
Little Tip from me is, if you want to rewind the video, you can use the jkl and the arrows to navigate...
Yep this is solid for YT ahah
Inconsistency right now is my main problem. Even though i can with no big problems hit 140-160 wpm on sites like monkeytype, as soon as i start typing real sentences, this drops down to 80-90 wpm with a ton of errors, or, of I'm lucky, i can get like 110-115 wpm, given there were no errors made
Yeah this is a problem for most of us, if there's a lot of mistakes then it means you've developed the wrong muscle memory which reinforces those errors. Best thing to do is slow down a little bit to type right and it'll make you better and faster over time so that you don't have to be just lucky if you get me!
👍
Hope it was helpful!
Idk why im hitting a plateu at 100 wpm its been like that for 3 years now
Could be a lot of reasons tbh, i think one big one around that typing speed is not reading the word ahead quick enough, so you end up making micro pauses that limits the typing speed. Could it be that potentially? And are you making mistakes when you type or not really? Feel free to email me (on my channel about page) if you want to contact more easily!
Subscribed 👍
Thanks for the sub Mr. Truffles!
Dang. I type 185 WPM and still learned a lot from this video
Glad you found it useful, hope the 200wpm comes soon 💪🏽💯
Thanks for the great video and reccomending typeracer
No problem 👍
I wish ctrl+backspace worked on notepad as well
That would be ideal 😂
