Attachments are small bumps on your teeth that helps the plastic to grab your teeth better. Some attachments also assist with passing the force to move your teeth from the aligners to your teeth. Most of the overtime discoloration is on the areas around attachments. Some food causes more stanines like herbs or red wine.
Teeth Whitening
It is recommended to wait till the end of your clear aligner orthodontic treatment before you whiten your teeth. Whitening with attachments can create patches of different colors on your teeth.
Retainers

Hi, i have 2 questions. Can you smoke with your aligners in? And can you drink through a straw with the aligners?
You can't smoke while in orthodontic treatment. You can develop gum problems. Some of our patients use a straw but with sugary drinks doesn't really make any difference and you want to take the aligners off, reins and put them back.
How do I fix attachment staining?
You can try some of the aligner whitening foams on the market. We also use a special procedure in our clinic that is similar to teeth staining removal - a clinical sandblaster type equipment. Talk to your dentist or orthodontsit.
how long after eating can you brush your teeth?
Right before you put your aligner back

@@nic0217 No as far as we know unless you have any information that we don't. Enamel is one of the hardest tissue in the body.
