Hello and welcome back! Today I'm sharing with you a mini two-part project where I make a Seahorse using Polymer Clay! In this video I actually build the seahorse using just basic shapes to get started. This is a time lapse visual sculpting demonstration, polymer clay is a oven baked clay that stays soft forever until baked, once backed it stays hard forever, neat stuff!
Let me know what you think about this quick project so far? Sharing this video will help make all my dreams possible, you can believe that! I really appreciate all the support!
For part 2: • Polymer Clay Seahorse,...

  • so effortless. and you're so soft spoken it's very relaxing and yet I'm really focused on what you're doing, a natural born teacher. thank you for that

  • I know this is old, but still, thanks for sharing! I like that you went so in depth about your sculpting techniques! A great teaching video! I would have done it in one video, just because KZhead makes it so hard to find part 2 most of the time

  • That looks awesome!! I can hardly wait for part 2. :) So glad to see you back too and this is just what I needed. I had a very hard day yesterday having to say goodbye to one of my cats. I have been really sad ever since but this video helped me to at least smile. :) - Heidi

    • +BlackCat2 I am very sorry to hear that, it's terrible losing a pet :( We lost our Frodo a year ago, he was 14. What I do - I just go get more cats right away. They can never be replaced, but those 2 new kittens sure distracted things a little. Glad to have given you a smile Heidy

    • +Freda Kramer They are dental picks and spades I get them at the flea market for 1-2 bucks a piece. I'll try to see about making a tools video if I get a chance.. it's no secret though lol and pretty much anything could be used as a tool, like a toothpick for example :D

  • Did you not have to condition the clay before working with it? I just saw you roll it around a bit. I'm just wondering if it bakes alright in the oven when you get done?

  • Love him, gonna try to make him for my sons fish tank, anyone know if polymer clay baked would be safe in a salt water tank please? Thanks again, blessings

    @valhadfield9685@valhadfield96858 жыл бұрын
    • +val hadfield no, polymer clay is not guaranteeably fishtank safe. It will get a thick white crud on it quite quickly, and can exude plasticizers into the water. Don't risk your fish!

    • +josh h Well years ago I did plastering (stucco) it was hot n' muddy and I loved it... pay was great too. But everyone got fired and I was one of the last to go. Since then I've made the decision to try for a career as a simple content creator here on KZhead. It's tricky, and sometimes it seems impossible, but the possibility of succeeding grows stronger everyday. I don't sell the stuff I make I just make video's

    • +emykoemyko +polymerclayartist oh my goodness I was going to suggest that too! I'm sorry to hear about you loosing your job Tom. Its exciting to hear you're going to try and make this channel your profession though. You have not only a natural artistic talent, but a teaching talent that is gentle and encouraging. You gave me confidence to get started with polymer clay and I've made things since I still can't believe came from me. Have you considered starting a Patreon account? Just a thought.
