I am watching this again about a year and a half after the funeral. I am an American and a dedicated Anglophile. The inaccuracy of the commentators is appalling. The sailors are not pulling the gun carriage because it belongs to the Royal Navy. The Royal Navy is pulling the gun carriage because the horses pulling the gun carriage in 1901 for HM Queen Victoria’s funeral got cold, bolted and ran away while pulling it from Windsor Station to Windsor Castle for her funeral. Prince Louis of Battenberg, Victoria’s son-in-law and Prince Phillip’s great grandfather, came up with the idea of using 138 sailors to pull the gun carriage the rest of the way to St. George’s Chapel. The Royal Artillery, to whom the gun carriage belonged were horrified. The men in the white plumed helmets walking beside HM Queen Elizabeth’s coffin are Gentlemen at Arms in Victorian uniforms. The Life Guards ride horses and carry swords. I could go on but my head hurts.

A lot of the commentary is intrusive and unnecessary. Just let the grandeur of the occasion speak for itself.

would the 'commentators' please be quiet and let us WATCH this unique and dignified occasion.
This is why I prefer Huw Edwards on the BBC because he’s always respectful during key moments of royal family events. When I nearly passed away in February from an unknown illness at 20; i wanted him to comment on my state funeral in Wales but it got cancelled because I got better eventually. I still have my funeral arrangements saved but they’re locked away in a forbidden area in Woody.EXE’s palace so no one can see it. My funeral will be announced by Woody.EXE just 4 days after I passed away and he told me he’s dreading to announce the death of me his longest serving Queen and I dread the reaction of my people

The last state funeral we had for a president of the US was John F. Kennedy 1963 all other funerals after Kennedy were for former presidents. Those were not full state funerals like for a sitting POTUS
One thing we Americans do is when the casket is moved by those carriers. We play music.

They are the jubilee medals.. issued to members of the royal family and their spouses .. also issued to serving members of H.M Forces
No, did escape your notice all male members of the family were also wearing them. The are ( depending how long they’ve been members) the Golden, Diamond and Platinum jubilee medals.

poor jesus he dd not have a state funeral all he got was spat at and nails through his hands and he was the son of god .
Unfortunately so,but to me, he showed he didn't need one, as he triumphed death 3 days later and resurrected, the same thing he's promised we will do on the day of judgement.

It was not a State Funeral, it was a Royal Funeral. Big difference.
It *was* a state funeral. Monarchs are always given a state funeral. Only a handful of individuals other than monarchs have ever been given a state funeral. These include Sir Winston Churchill, W E Gladstone and the 1st Duke of Wellington. Other members of the royal family will sometimes have a "ceremonial funeral". These include Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. Diana, Princess of Wales's funeral was a ceremonial funeral, though she no longer enjoyed royal status. Margaret Thatcher was, controversially, also accorded this honour as was Lord Mountbatten. There is no category of funeral by the name of "royal funeral" as different members of the Royal Family will have different types of funeral, be they state (for monarchs), ceremonial or some other type (e.g. HRH The Duke of Windsor or Princess Margaret).
