I Survived the U.S. Navy!

2024 ж. 14 Мам.

Today we challenged the US Navy to make us say "I QUIT"! First person to fall to their challenges and say "I QUIT" loses. The winner (if they can outlast all of the Navy's challenges) will get to go on a helicopter search and rescue practice mission!

With the intense amount of effort they have to put in to make sure that they are fit enough to save even one more life. This is incredible, and also an amazing thing to witness. • I can agree. Been watching since 2017, and I found this video to be really cool compared to some of the Bros' videos in the past year. But for me, nothing compares to the Cam and Jeff Era. They are classics. I think there are many great ways to implement and improve on the older challenges on a larger budget and make the videos even better, and more hilarious as well

  • All the branches I believe have a similar training for search and rescue. It just differs on the kind of search and rescue. Its special training and a lot harder than the normal training that they would get in basic when they join due to the specificity of what the training is for.

    • @@valkyrieraven7446 i was disagreeing w your first sentence. All search and rescue is different in the military. training really isnt similar. Airforce SAR is land based (CSAR). Navy SAR is focused on Maritime personnel recovery and Coast Guard SAR is anything to do with national and international SAR matters. on land or in water. both have Specifically designed Rescue swimmer school selections to get through first. Army doesnt really have anything dedicated to SAR. youre right ab it being spec and intense training, your first sentence was just off. they are different and that’s what makes them special.

    • Here's my problem with the US military (in particular, but it extrapolates to every military of this world): Basically, they are a very political, government-run institution with not enough sanity checks for my taste and way to much money and power. In the best case scenario they do humanitarian work in other countries that is best left to actual humanitarian helpers, and in the worst case they cause war, suffering and poverty at great financial and personal cost to the US *and* the entire reset of the world. A lot of the military personal have the best of intentions, a lot of them are literal heroes(protecting others at great personal cost). But the institution and the leadership are what makes them problematic, and no amount "they are all heroes" applies to politicians and industrial functionaries, who in the end command or influence the military and make up their upper ranks. No individual heroism justifies a needless war. I think the US military needs less dishonest advertisement, a lot more transparency(esp. with regards to funding, lobbying, etc.), probably less funding, and better leadership(maybe one not influenced as much by money and politics). People need to be able to criticize the military, they need fewer fanboys and more public scrutiny. I think advertising on a channel like this(and other social media like twitch etc.) clearly shows an intention to influence especially young people in a subversive and dishonest way. I don't like that one bit.
