I have never in my life been able to catch a fish off of a wake bait They look perfect and they never get bit at least not on my line

- Try something smaller, natural color, slowly real and jerk, and try things bass actually eat, like a frog

- It's all about timing with big baits, knowing when the big ones eat. The biggest bass in the waters will eat during low light hours, and also mid day. If you're a trophy bass fisherman like we are, these aren't going to catch you numbers per say, but they'll draw in the biggest fish in the waters. Smaller baits can catch you numbers, but a few casts with these baits may catch the biggest bass you'll ever encounter. They've got some guys to place higher in tourneys lately also. At one time, they were all handmade wood lures. I used to make them out of Balsam wood.

My Dad's favorite lure was called a Creek Chub. Fat broke back minnow lure. Everyone around him couldn't stand it. He caught a 6 3/4 largemouth bass wid it. Can't find them anymore. He believes a big fish has a big appetite? I use a 12" plastic worm sometimes. Had fairly good success wid it. Anyone ever jigger fish ? About 3 hula skirts wid 3 hooks at the end of a cane pole. Jigg it on top of the water around stumps or logs. It's an exciting strike up close.

- They're made from Balsa, so they're not as heavy as most wooden baits.

I would go Slightly smaller but it’s similar sound to a buzz-bait and swim bait so it will probably work

The moment the bait changed moving direction, the shape of underwater changed the moving direction and looks like being chased by the bait. So, the shape is just the shadow of the bait.
