Drafting QB’s, WR’s and OT’s high is the way it should be. Those are the 3 most important positions. Followed by CB. Interior linemen, RB’s, Linebackers and safety’s are a dime a dozen in this league. Teams hit on those positions all the time later in the draft or in free agency.

Trying to win QUICKLY can sometimes be a really really bad thing. You have to have a vision and BUILD your roster. Not just fill it with expensive B- players and then not know how to acquire and develop young talent.

the nickname Bo Nix had @ Auburn was Sucks Dix and Thro Pix. he was also known from running from the SEC-when Coach Harsin was garbage. the nickname stuck with him until the end of 2022 at Oregon. then he finally got people in the happy column. i’ve changed my tune on him. he might be the most complete QB next to Penix coming out of the draft with the 5-6 years of beatdowns at the beginning of his career and winning in the end of his career.

I’ll bet Bo Nix was also number 1 in the catagory of throwing passes parallel to the LOS or Behind the LOS. Dude threw a lot Of bubble screens. A lot. Why do you think his completion percentage was so high? 9.6 ypa is good. Daniel’s bad 11.7 ypa. And in 2019 Burrow threw for 76% completion percentage but he was throwing balls down the field. Occasionally he would Throw short passes to the RB. He threw for 11.2 ypa.
Their analytics team threw those out and stacked him against the rest of the class against it and he still came up #1 in a ton of areas. Even PFF had him 1st in like 7 areas. The hate is misunderstood bc of age and he was average at Auburn.

I think it’s less of the sport changing and just teams taking advantage of a top offensive draft. I mean, you literally had 6 first round qbs and we knew this was going to be a big QB draft. I mean, sometimes this happens in some years.

Colin said he was worried about Bo Nix hand size. Why? His hands are 10.125’’. That’s 10 1/8’’. That’s plenty big. If your hands are at least 9 inches that’s enough. Kenny Pickett hands are smaller than 9 inches so we’re Teddy Bridgewaters. Joe Burrow has 9 inch hands so does Jared Goff so does Jake Browning the Bengals backup QB. Jake Browning when he was in HS in California set a national record for TD passes that still stands today and that will probably Still be a record for the rest of human civilization. He doesn’t really drop that many balls though. That’s more of a myth. He had some struggles in the past but has improved, and his drop rate is lower than a handful of the other top prospects in this years draft. Tyreek Hill is a unicorn but Worthy is closer to a Desean Jackson type than a John Ross. John Ross was a horrible receiver. Worthy can actually run good routes and has excellent ball tracking skills. Andy will know exactly how to use him too. I’d be shocked if it doesn’t work out barring injuries
