2000W - 220 volt to 120 volt AC Adapter with Microwave Step Down Transformer

2021 ж. 27 Нау.
357 726 Рет қаралды

Today i am going to show you how to make ( 110v to 120v ) AC supply from your 220v ( actual 250v ) home socket using microwave oven transformer in step down mode upto 2000w.
First, i am going to modify the transformer output by the rewinding process. Its quite simple and this technique can also be applied on UPS transformers if you don't have a MOT ( microwave oven transformer ).
Note that the same transformer that was initially working as a Step up Transformer will now work as a step down transformer.
For 110v output , lesser turns will be given to the secondry.
Thanks for Watching !

  • I was thinking how it is possible to have 250V if the rated voltage 220V. Do you have 3 phase on the streets? Because in my country we have, the houses do have normally only one phase and are connected in different phases. It happens to be, that In my house I have all three phases. I measured that if one phase is under heavy load, the other two has higher voltage. The different houses on the street are not able to load the 3 phases equally, this makes the voltage difference.
