  • The case with Blackburn the bank robber and his family is so sad. I can understand him taking his own life, but It's difficult to grasp why he would end the lives of his wife and children--just senseless. Those two precious little girls could have had a good life in front of them. It was a cowardly act for a man who was supposedly a tough guy. Some people who may be fairly intelligent in certain ways can still have a loose grip on reality and remain psychologically juvenile. I've worked with prison ministries and know that through good behavior and self-improvement the men can accomplish a lot of good from behind bars, and even be sent to a prison that has more freedoms and more comfortable environments. One guy I worked with became a best selling author and another became a minister, was released at 65 years old, and now is the pastor at a local church. Anyone who is facing what seems to be horrendous futures, please know that it's never as bad as what our imaginations think things will be. As long as we're alive there is hope, so don't give up. Face what's coming and do the right thing. Things will get better.

    • It's wrong what he did to his wife and kids but to end your own life is your choice. The prison system is for profit not for rehabilitation anyway in any way so who cares if the person doesn't get to see trial and be a part of thier corrupt institutions. They're just as much a criminal as the people they're keeping in those cages.

They were completely innocent. Why they kept saying they were trying to make sure Sophia and the girls were safe, when she brought a gun to the jail and removed the screws from the bulletproof glass so he could get out should tell every agent, marshal and officer involved that she is just as culpable as he was and just as willing to use violence against them.

    • The fact that the security cameras couldn’t be clearly viewed for details tells me that the high profile businesses have been given faulty info upon setting up their security systems. Banks etc. should have very good cameras and procedures regarding the changing to new tapes frequently. It’s a small investment that high profile businesses fail to invest in. Video tape is very inexpensive and could make a huge difference in solving some crimes. It does no good to have the video cameras and tape recording equipment, if you don’t use it to it’s full potential.

On the Lackluster KZhead Channel there's an incident of an elderly woman's home getting tear gassed even after the victim tells several times the man who threatened her has left and only the elderly woman's pets are in the home. Another witness watching the elderly woman's home be destroyed starts recording the scene for her in case her home owner's insurance will pay for some of her damaged items, lifetime mementos and heirlooms, replace spicy stained carpets and furniture minus depreciation and deductible or help with vet bills but then the cops got mad at the man at start accusing him of being perpetrator even though the witness is once again saying its not him and which way that man did go 😮‍💨😖 I watched documentaries from the 60's-70's where forensics decades later had to show what actually happened. Seems like not well thought out.

Instead after evacuating the complex, take him by surprise and just bust down the door with the swat team. Just looking at his past actions, Did they really think he would come out peacefully? • As a law enforcement officer of 16 years, I see your point but unfortunately, in some states, we are required to announce ourselves before making entry. Sometimes, that's not the beat course of action but it is the law. In these types of situations, it's a case by case basis as to whether or not the best course of action would be to breach or make a soft entry. I've also been in situations where a breach (kicking down the door and coming in) caused the perp to panic and open fire on the SWAT team, causing innocent children to get killed in the crossfire. So, you really have to just feel out the situation and determine the mental stability of the person in order to make the best decision.
