I'm wondering if this is the Northern most tip of Madhattan that separates the the East River from the Hudson where the direction of the flow is going into the Hudson. If it is, I and some friends used to walk across it from Manhattan into the Bronx on many occasions in the early 70's when there wasn't as much footing as there is on this bridge now.
Not even close - these barges came loose north of Albany. This is the Livingston Rail Bridge that you can find at 42°39'16.45" N 73°44'29.27" W
How is this possible with coast guard advisories? Was this a freak situation?
The power of Mother Nature and ice flowing down the river, at least it didn't take out the bridge :)
Who’s not doing their job??? Why are there so many barges coming loose from their moorings?? It must be identified quickly or we will shut down our economy.
