My kids when they were growing up heard me instruct them to put aimed rounds in their elk until they drop. Couldn’t agree with you more on that one Randy. Also, hearing elk bugle in mid October has been the norm in one area of Colorado I have hunted for 30 years. Don’t know about here in Idaho as I always chase them with a bow. God bless!

Getting ready for Nevada Cow Elk Late Season. Any success with distress calf calling to bring in cows?
I also won't ever hunt the mt gun opener for elk. Did get in my tree tho and got a 130" 10 point white tail.
What bullets do you use or recommend for elk in 308
Randy do you use the same rifle for both Elk and Mule deer, if so which Howa and cartridge?
