And then the Seraphim showed up, and absolute madness ensued.
Seraphim mfs when they see a wall of Fatboys and Czars waiting for them (all of the sudden dont think they're hot shit)
On my first UEF playthrough, on the final mission, I went full turtle. What I did was I Built shields all around the Black Sun Cannon and Control Station, with defenses and factories, and I built a Maginot Line level of fortifications, with 3 lines of defense, furthest being weakest and last the strongest, with some small outcrops of radar, mass, factories, and AA. Every line I installed artillery, and near the cannon, I built the big boi cannons. When the Cybrans came from the North with their armies, my front line held them off with a couple punctures. I reinforced it and then the experimentals came. They punched through my first two lines and I literally shouted "WE HOLD EM HERE" (cringe I know), but the last line held and I defeated them and won the game. It was one of the most surreal experiences I ever had in gaming, I actually FELT like a COMMANDER, unlike most games like that now. I don't know if I would say I liked it better than Forged Alliance, but it was a damn good game.

They come at you in waves of strat bombers and monkeylords. The bombers are annoying as hell.

15:54 Anyone noticed how the continents on Matar are basically just the Japanese islands?
There were some voice overs you missed out on, such as: • General Clarke threatening you with cleaning communication logs for the rest of your life if you kept on listening to the Princess while on Matar. • The Aeon commander on Matar revealing to you that her entire family were massacred by the UEF, hence her utter disdain for you + Arnold; she has a burning desire for vengeance against the faction you serve. • When Arnold reveals himself to you + General Clarke as having turned to the Aeon. Clarke laments that he's been brainwashed, then shouts at the player - orders you to put Arnold "out of his misery". • Captain Aiko's death scream if she dies on the last mission, "SAVE EARTH!! AA-".

@@danielcashdollar939 Hell yeah I watched it! I wanted to hear those voice overs again but not have to play through the entire damn game again to hear them.
Yeah, the UEF for me always gave off a "Starship Troopers" vibe, and I guess that's why they were and still are my favorite faction, well, that and they have some of the best mod units (Hawksmod dreadnought, Experimental Wars spaceships, Total Mayhem and Blackops ubermechs, etc).
Good lord. The UEF player…imagine how much weighs on them after firing black sun. Sure, the infinite war is over, but they’re also responsible for pulling the trigger on the greatest mass genocide in the history of the galaxy. Talk about PTSD
Then... The Seraphim arrived... Either you as UEF, Cybran or Aeon commander get blown to oblivion by the gazillion of Ahwassa Experimental bombers.
All Commanders underwent what amounts to brainwashing and psychic conditioning. A concsience was not included.
Think about it this way: despite you winning again and again, the UEF is facing imminent destruction. Over the past few weeks the Aeon have gone on an unbridled genocide across the galaxy and you are the last desperate line of defense against that. I think it would be less the feeling you've caused a genocide than that of you have stopped an imminent one, and on many worlds one already underway.
Oh, that, and they’re indirectly responsible for the invasion of the Seraphim
The UEF ending can be summed up pretty accurately as the "We did it, Patrick! We saved the city!" meme but on a galactic scale.

Every faction has one. It's a bit frustrating because I'd like to know which side won in FA.

Imagine Planetside 2 style game, cross overed with war thunder/WoT, in this universe...
I like to think EarthCom turned into HQ in SupComFA.
More likely EarthCom got killed along with President Riley when the Seraphim bombed Earth.
3 Cybran and 3 Aeon Commanders were very disturbed by this video
I remember Arnold and his units didnt even make it out of the fog of war in my game because I already had a wall of Fatboys deployed that simply shelled them to death from afar.

And then our Hero had to deal with years on the run fighting a loosing war before singlehandedly turning the tide and winning that one as well

Can anyone explain why President Riley doesn't want to pull back into a more easily defensible front line when Black Sun is so close to completion? It seems counter-intuitive.

There's also a political motive to consider. Riley is a president, and it wouldn't really look good for his image if he eventually just abandoned the entire UEF outer rim, with all of its resources, strategic potential and arguably most importantly, population to the highly-advanced barbarians at the gates.
There is a very well detailed supcom fanfic that tried to address this issue and stated that he's only extending himself because he's protecting the planets which are needed to finish Black Sun

I would love to see all these cinematics redone in the latest Unreal Engine 5, and then the game itself. Id buy it again if they did that.
