I hate when people justify lags on samsungs A series by saying that these are cheap phones, when these phones are not cheap compared to xiaomi or used flagship phones which at the same or lower price will work perfectly without lags
Yeah, its 500e phone which lags, and its fixable, just that samsung wont do it for some reason
Fr.. do they even know the value of money? How can it be cheap in that ridiculous price for it's specs...
True. Samsung A series is expensive for its specs. LOL. I picked F3 over a53 for this reason.
A04 my sister has and it is a terrible phone it is frustrating and a lag machine.
I mean if you're talking about a bit late flagship then yeah sure but my galaxy note Fe(7) isn't as you mentioned
Nick is the king when it comes to phone comparison 😊
Exactly as you said, that has always been my biggest problem with Samsung's A series phones or maybe Samsung is general. Only S series phones get the best and the other get absolutely nothing. Comparing these phones and taking their price tags into consideration, Poco (Xiaomi) totally nails it.
Samsung is too ignorant and proud not to release a phone with the same specs as Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro at the same price point.

Samsung should really optimize the UI in midrange phones. Not necessarily keep all apps in the background open but at least don't be so laggy, Google with the pixel 7a at around the same price is much smoother

@-shaaz 5 years of updates will be the least of your worries towards the end of those 5 years if that thing is lagging right out of the gate.
I'm surprised to know their prices are equivalent. Where I live, the F5 is ~66% more expensive. The difference is even bigger when compared to the M54 (which I prefer because of the battery). The performance of the F5 is really amazing.
Poco has a lot of model lineup..bt with lots of hardware issue... motherboard dead and so on...do check for review first before buying...for now poco f5 doesnt have any issue but its tricky...cause sometimes update kills the phone..or camera stops working ...do check before buying ir wait for things to settle

Some Chinese manufacturers offer great specs for price, they've mastered it alright. Now if only they can become as consistent in the software department. I don't know why when people make these reviews, they don't take into consideration that release prices of Samsung are always stupidly high, and get quite a lot lower over time. This is an important distinction. In any case, I would like more to see a comparisson about basically any other feature which isn't the one anybody can easily understand without even using the phone, such as performance. Like yeah, the SD 7 Gen 2 scores twice as much on synthetic benchmarks and is a lot faster, that is quite obvious, nothing happened that we didn't expect already. It would be much more interesting to showcase the cameras, video, sound, screen, etc. Just a thought.

Much as I appreciate having a faster finger print reader in my phone, I don't mind having a phone with a slightly slower (less than 1 second) fingerprint reader because I'm not that in a hurry always to unlock my phone 😊😊 Really, I love using a phone with a very fast fingerprint reader but a slightly slower (we're talking about less than 1 second, perhaps 1/10th of a second or even less) reader does not really matter
There may be times that a slow-scanning fingerprint scanner can be irritating though. And even if it's not the case, the fact that an in-display fingerprint scanner adds up to the total cost of the phone for doing basically the same exact function as a physical fingerprint scanner at a slower pace really makes it an absurd idea altogether. Not to mention that having an in-display fingerprint scanner means you can no longer put a protective tempered glass screen protector on the screen because the fingerprint scanner will no longer be able to read your fingerprint when there's a protective glass layer on top.
Nothing in a phone really matters in a phone if you look at it this way

The POCO phone has less of a harsh blue tint I noticed. I know a lot of people have issues with seeing that cause it’s damaging to your eyes
You're seeing a recording of both phones, in reality they all expel blue light, is just part of the display technologies we use. There are settings that help alleviate it, in Poco is called reading mode I believe. Sometimes it's called night mode (different from dark mode). It's still not perfect.

You're right, but they're not aimed at the same audience, plus the POCO installing a GCAM solves the problem. Regarding the MIUI software, it is not the best option, but the bootloader is unlocked and you can opt for more optimized AOSP ROMs with fewer bugs than MIUI.

In screen fingerprint sensors are overrated imo. They are either too low or too high. I wish manufacturers would eother stick with the power button or bring back the rear sensor.
It's extremely overrated in that it adds cost to the device but brings nothing new or better than proven and tested and reliable physical fingerprint scanners, and also prohibiting you from installing tempered glass screen protector.
i see the catch for the F5's amazin specs, its a link ive spotted and its.. high temps and thermal throttling is a lot but you can still buy it unless you dont game COD or Genshin for hours on end
Since it's not a gaming phone, you should expect that.
I have a 3 year old xiaomi midrange phone and it is way better than that a54. I love my mi 10t, I plan to have it for one more year.
Bought f5 at almost half price of a54 in sale.
at least you should have compared it with a 8Gb model, you cant open asphalt and cod at the same time and expect it to not reload on 6gb of ram, I am pretty sure it wont reload if you opened all the other apps at the same time without opening these two games, I still don't know how apple does it with the IOS
That means, for the same price, Poco gives us 12GB RAM while Samsung could only offer half as much. Yeah sure, RAM isn't everything, but that's clearly evident here with the A54 being too choppy and laggy for way too much for something that costs this much in 2023, when even mid-rangers from 2 years ago of the same price range were already performing silky-smooth.
@@troy5568 yeah i like xiaomi/poco for that but Samsung in this price range doesn’t focus on performance but on other aspect like camera and a clean design, they use performance to make a difference between their mid-phones and their high-end ones

I don't understand you waiting for the pixel 7/8 for what you might as well use the pixel 7 or pixel 7 Pro to compare other phones they are all the same phone absent minor differences
now guess which one has better display, better cameras, ip67,better battery, better software with 4 or 5 years of upgrades , not everyone buys a phone for gaming
Better display? Poco F5 has Dolby Vision support, A54 doesn't. And it is a true 12-bit display with 68B colors, as opposed to A54's 10-bit (8+2 from software). Better cameras? Okay I give it to A54. Not like a massive difference though, and Poco F5 can still take nice pictures. IP67, how careless can you really be to be super reliant on that ingress protection? In any case, the Poco F5 is at least rated IP53 for some simple liquid spills, which is far more than enough for the vast majority of scenarios in reality (unless of course you are a swimmer, in that case, why are you putting your phone inside your pocket when you swim? Lol) Better battery for the A54, if you can live with that laggy and stuttery performance in the first place. My Poco F5 still lasts very long time, long enough that I don't need to power up immediately from time to time, and the performance is extremely satisfying because it's super smooth, speedy, powerful, and efficient. Better software is arguable because it is a preference. You don't like MIUI, that's fine. But I definitely don't like the very stuttery and laggy software that the A54 has, so I'm attributing it to the OneUI software that it runs, and will signifiy to me that the OneUI is objectively worse than MIUI in terms of optimization. 4 or 5 years of updates is meaningless if you can't even make it past 2 years of a very laggy and stuttery performance. You want the A54 to receive Android 18, but it's already struggling to run smoothly in Android 14?? Yes, not everyone buys a phone for gaming. But not being a gamer doesn't mean those stutters and lags in basic apps are okay, okay? Try harder to justify that ridiculously-priced and glorified budget phone. I'm not saying that the Poco F5 is perfect in any way, but there are clearly better options for the same price of the A54, and the F5 is just one of them, if not the number one reason why.
Samsung Doesn’t use hardware for Face ID either. That’s Why the s23 Ultra Face ID doesn’t function from every angle & requires you to be close
Performance of Snapdragon gen 2 is best
It's all down to your preference, I've used xiaomi phones in the past and I did not like the experience. Samsung on the other hand I preferred it
Both r android. What experience did have different in Samsung, despite overheating and draining on idle. Just curious, cuz that's the experience I had with Samsung
It's actually opposite my experience. with samsung s8 n s9+, I had screen problems both phones (black screen of death) n never came back to life, I'm using xiaomi redmi 9t and I like the experience, even though it's an entry level. Sometimes I think people like a product just because of the brand
I only prefer OneUI because I've used a flagship Galaxy phone, which is not fair and comparable to the MIUI software of a mid-range Xiaomi phone. But in terms of quality control, my Galaxy S20+ Snapdragon had green line on the screen after 2 years on its original display, and then had it again a year later on the very expensive original replacement screen. Definitely no more Samsung again for me, as Samsung didn't even want to fix my phone for free, even though the problem is clearly not my fault, and it just randomly occurred out of nowhere as I am casually using my phone. I've never had hardware failure on any of my Xiaomi budget phones that I've had in the past, and I'm confident that my Poco F5 will be no different from that.
Samsung does not support custom roms. Poco does and no matter what you say about the Samsung ecosystem, once you use custom roms you'd know for sure most stock roms out there are utter sewage with Samsung at the top.

Its not only the speed of the smartphone, its also the overall experience with the ui
Ok experience with lag UI and overheating issue on samsung
Yeah and samsung will lag when doing basic tasks but will get 20 thousand years of updates
I enjoy miui better than oneui. Plus the only brand that allows users to UBL & root without voiding warranty. 15-24 months warranty period.
Lagging choppy slow ui, very lagging if u open multitask apps at the same time, 4 years update 😂, can't imagine next update android are getting heavier
Speed is a part of the UI experience, yes but for many people speed is a HUGE part of it.
The screen looks a lot brighter on the poco f5 in this video, the A54 looks a little washed out in comparison. I was torn between these but seeing the performance on the F5 compared to the a54 it’s a no brainier
Samsung gonna put 7+ gen 2 when Poco get 7+ultra gen 9
Still have poco f3 nice device from Xiaomi
