@@lerdog Yes of course, because genocide, omnicide, and abusing or psychologically manipulating one's own child is nothing compared to . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . taking over a social media platform as well as the house of an important figure and giving them a makeover plus taking said important figure hostage and ATTEMPTING to brainwash her. . . . . . That's it, that's all the bad stuff Team Rainbow Rocket has done so far if we're looking specifically at the mainline series. Honestly, when I really think about Rainbow Rocket Giovanni caused the least and most insignificant damage in the mainline games. Now before you guys start bringing up how he was going to "let the all the evil team leaders loose on all the various universes", let me ask this, did RR Giovanni ever say word for word that he was going to share some of the worlds he conquered with Maxie, Archie, Cyrus, Ghetsis, and Lysandre so that they could enact their goals on them or is that just another bold assumption that you all made and accepted as canon for no other reason besides that you want it to be true just like this "secret dark side" that Team Rocket supposedly has but is never shown because Pokémon is a "kIdS gAmE" that I keep hearing about? Because I'm pretty sure that RR Giovanni was only using the other evil team leaders as glorified bodyguards to keep anyone from getting in his way while he took over Aether Paradise with his REAL plan to take over the multiverse being to build use an army of ultra beasts by using the data Lusamine had on them for the following reasons: 1. From what I recall from Episode RR, it's never really stated or even implied that Giovanni was going to unleash the evil team leaders onto the various universes he would conquer. 2. Giovanni might have a sense of honor, but I don't really see him sharing power with anyone, especially an equally power hungry (but far more ruthless and unhinged) man like Ghetsis. 3. Going off of what the evil team leaders tell the protagonist, they don't seem to be complacent or even aware in any "multiversal takeover plan" that RR Giovanni had come up with. 4. The evil team leaders seem to have come up with their plans to make the world they were brought to like their worlds on their own without RR Giovanni's consent. And I specifically say "the world they were brought to" because, again, they never say anything about being a part of Giovanni's plan. Although this might not apply to Ghetsis, since he seems to have an understanding of Giovanni, so he would likely know about his goals multiversal conquest. 5(This one is important). If RR Giovanni was really planning on forming an alliance with Maxie, Archie, Cyrus, Ghetsis, and Lysandre so that they could all take over the multiverse together so that they could make all the universe like their own, IT WOULD BLOW UP IN HIS FACE PRETTY DARN QUICKLY. Each one of them would definitely want the entire multiverse all to themself for them to rule or remake in their own image. So, they will all definitely be plotting to backstab each other. I mean, come on! The cracks in this alliance are already clear as day! Maxie and Archie were shown to have already be butting heads just like their original counterparts. Ghetsis was plotting on using Giovanni as a puppet just like he did with N and effectively pull the strings of Team Rainbow Rocket, which, let's be honest here, he DEFINITELY would've been able to pull off. Cyrus would probably more nihilistic and determined to remake everything as ever upon learning of the multiverse, if Owlman from "Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths" is any indication. Lysandre might go from genocidal to omnicidal. And Giovanni, . . . well he's screwed. Cyrus has Palkia(the creator and master of space) or Dialga(the creator and master of time). Archie has Kyogre(the master and theoretical creator of the sea). Maxie has Groudon(the master and theoretical creator of the land). Lysandre has Yveltal(the emissary and physical embodiment of death) or Xerneas(the emissary and physical embodiment of life). Ghetsis has Reshiram(the vast white dragon of truth) or Zekrom(the deep black dragon of ideals). While Giovanni only has a bunch of incompetent grunts and Mewtwo. I don't care how powerful you guys think Mewtwo is. There is no way a man-made clone can beat creatures who are said to have literally SHAPED THE UNIVERSE! . . . Where was I going with this? I had a point. Oh yeah! The thing about Team Rainbow Rocket Giovanni is that his plans of multiversal conquest relies too much on fridge horror because he only tries to BECOME POWERFUL ENOUGH TO TAKEOVER THE MULTIVERSE. He's never actually made any genuine attempts at multiversal conquest. You see when I think of a multiversal threat, I think of an insanely powerful entity that has waged war on the entire multiverse and enslaved or destroyed several, if not, countless universes. RR Giovanni hasn't done any of that, he might have made plans to, but he hasn't actually put them to action as of now. It hasn't even been shown how bad his multiversal conquest would be. The only horrible thing that he has done that might make him close to being considered a multiversal threat is this PRESUMED conquest of his world, and even THAT relies on fridge horror, because again, him taking over his world(or even the results of said takeover) is never shown or stated. In fact, now that I think about, I don't think Team Rainbow Rocket taking over their world is ever mentioned at all! literally the only reasons I think they did is because the alternate versions of Maxie, Archie, Cyrus, Ghetsis, and Lysandre that joined them succeeded in their goals and the fact that Red, Leaf, Chase, Elain, Ethen, Chris, or Lyra didn't stop them like they did in the original timeline!

Personally I thought Volo was the smartest villain. He didn't need a team of mindless members that look the same. He just used the main character to do his dirty work.
What makes Volo so good is how freaking patitent he is. A lot of the other villains are pretty quick to try to put their plans into motion. Even Rose probably could've succeeded if he just wait for Leon and the player's battle since Leon was going to help out Rose

FACTS! Although Volo is pretty close two, being the only sole Pure Evil in the Mainline Games and all.

How about a list of pokemon Teams, from incompetent to most successful. (Also how is Ghestis not higher on the list, let alone on top. He's the only villain who actually tries to murder the main character)
I would put the AI Professors in Scarlet and Violet higher up the list, as they realized what the original professor wanted, what would that mean, and decide that isn't right. They only fight you because the program forces him to do so.

I don’t think Gen. 9 had a proper “villain”. You could say they were following their dreams but, through the A.I, they still showed they still loved Arven. And they say Lusamine is worse than Sada? She straight up abandoned her kid. US/UM and the S/M anime correct Lusamine into making her less chaotic
But they didn’t add them on the list still because they’re just robots following programming so weren’t even villains to begin with.
Volo quickly became my favorite villain, passing Cyrus. I liked Cyrus because he actually won in the end, even though not in the way he originally intended. He got sent to the distortion world and stayed there (a world without spirit). Volo was just absolutely threatening being the only person with the ability to control pokemon at his level with no one to stop him. That is until literal divine intervention from Arceus sending back Lucus or Dawn to stop him.
yeah no I'd say ghetsis is the most evil, he has no tragic backstory to explain his motives, he has no sympathetic aspects to him, he is in every way a true monster. also to go over why the villains above him aren't as evil Lusamine is implied to be under the effects of Nihilego's toxins and her USUM version isn't as evil in general Lysandre is shown shedding a tear over the deaths his plan will cause showing that he doesn't enjoy what he's doing even if he sees it as necessary Cyrus's backstory of growing up in sunnyshore only ever knowing a life of negativity and sadness makes him somewhat sympathetic and Giovanni (excluding the rainbow rocket one) doesn't really do anything on the same scale as other evil team leaders
That's what I was thinking too, but this channel seems to prioritize actions over motivation and character, which is fair, I guess. The part I don't get is how they ranked Lusamine higher than Ghetsis. Also, they put Zinzolin, but not Colress...?
I also think that Ghetsis is the only one that has actually tried to kill the player? Giovanni would have his business be bloodless if possible but Ghetsis is willingly trying to shank a 10 year old

@@shinken6636 first I'm not saying Lusamine isn't evil, I'm saying that parts of her backstory imply she may not be entirely in control of what she does (that and unlike Ghetsis she doesn't actually try to kill the player where they stand) Also as for Giovanni, in the actual games team rocket don't really do anything that would help them take over the world (keep in mind the team rocket creating Mewtwo thing is only officially stated in the manga and has not been directly confirmed in the games) the most he does is invade Silph co which is absolutely miniscule compared to Ghetsis literally freezing Opalucid city over, and actually trying to kill the player using Kyurem's glaciate, and threatening to do the same to Lillie in the rainbow rocket episode Though I will concede he is more then just a mere crime boss it's just that he doesn't do anything on the same scale as other villains
Well, i can kinda understand why you put Lusamine as high as she was, but in the ultra games, she does end up becoming better, plus her motivation was to find her lost husband, unknown to her, Moan was in alola all this time, although without memory of his past life. A tragedy caused her to go to do extremes, admirable, no. But sympathetic, yes.
That could also have been her motive in the original. He doesn’t specify what changed in US/UM. I’m shocked he never touched the evil that was Mewtwo but includes the CLEARLY NOT EVIL Penny

Also mewtwo was betrayed by the two people he trusted after seeing his best friends die in-front of him as a child. Of course he wouldn’t trust humans again and yes with his power he was going to destroy the world but he was on the side of good not long after.
Okay... Due to the way this channel seems to prioritize actions over motives or character, I had a feeling Ghetsis wouldn't be #1, but I'm surprised he didn't even make top 3. Even more, I'm surprised Lusamine is considered more evil. Also, Zinzolin was included, but not Colress... I don't get that choice. Colress is very much a villain in his own right. I'd actually say he's more evil than the fanbase seems to give him credit for. Not on the same level as say, Ghetsis or Cyrus, but still.
To be fair colress was never a leader nor an iconic villain akin to the likes of Jesse and James. Zinzolin was the leader for most of the game.
@@kirbystar7474 But he was working for Colress. Colress was the leader of Team Plasma (aside from Ghetsis), and it was likely his work that led to the creation of Team Plasma's massive ice cannon.

To add more to what Kirbystar is saying, Colress leaves team plasma and ends up hating it between Unova and Alola.
Of course Jessie & jame would be the least evil they have more redeeming trades and have them more good deeds than the others penny is just at character who was pushed to defeat her self and everyone saw as a villain for it
Not to mention that they actually care about their Pokémon, evidenced by Jessie releasing her Dustox, so it can find a mate even though it broke her heart to do so

Only 2 things I disagree with: Ghetsis isn’t number 1, and Volo isn’t number 2. Ghetsis takes number 1, Volo takes number 2. That’s how it should have been. Gio goes down to number 3, though.

A list for why Ghetsis should be at the top of this list: 1- He's an emotionally manipulative dad who adopted N for the sole purpose of establishing him as king of Unova and then usurping him 2- He was fully planning on doing this to Giovanni too in the RR episode 3- His ace Pokemon runs a full power frustration, a move that gets stronger the more the user hates their trainer, so animal abuse is on the table (even for a game of Pokemon's manner) 4- He threatens children with murd3r whenever he loses 5- He has attempted actual murd3r on the player 6- He promotes N's belief that Pokemon should be liberated from their pokeballs only so that he would be able to control them all for himself 7- In the RR episode it's canon in his dimension that he killed his own son 8- Among all villains in the games he is the most personal and will harm other characters in ways that mean something to them (ie attacking Lillie, the protagonist's friend)
Hey PokeBinge, since you did Pokemon Anime and Game villains Evil to most evil, Do you think you might eventually do Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Characters good to evil? I imagine that among the most good would be the hero and partners from the different games, Celebi and Grovyle from Explorers, Hydreigon from Gates to Infinity, Mew from Super Mystery Dungeon and among the most evil would be Darkrai from explorers, Kyurem and Munna from Gates to infinity, and others. I don't know if you will include Bittercold and Dark Matter or just do their subordinates like Yveltal, and etc.

The problem I can have with the lists specifically the hero ranking ones is how just because the hero can save the world like Jenny or Aang it doesn’t make them more morally good. And the same thing for villains. Sure bill would murder you in a heartbeat but characters like belos or even chip have far less good attributes since bill at least semi cares for the other demons. Same could be said for dominator since she especially was going to be redeemed if the show got a season 3.

You forgot Colress, the true “leader” of New Team Plasma.
To be fair, Giovanni has been a lot more evil since the remakes. In the original generation one games, he sees the error of his ways and becomes a researcher to make up for his actions. The reason he never appears in gen 2 is because he's not interested in being a villain. Pokemon origins went with this storyline. In gen 3, the story changed so that Giovanni vows revenge instead and leaves to train. In gen 4, his absence is now explained by him being defeated yet again.

I believe Volo’s the most evil villain. This man was trying to kill the literal god of Pokémon because he was so obsessed with him. To the point he got Pokémon satan to help him in order to destroy god and was going to sick satan on a child. He also got Satan to tear open a rift in space time which caused a problem so bad that god himself had to interfere by getting the player to stop him.

I'm a little conflicted when it comes to Giovanni's ranking. The original version of him is evil, but I don't think he deserves anywhere in the top 3. The Rainbow Rocket version, though.... I'd say he deserves the gold medal.

Lusamine should not be so low when you realize her origin! she lost her loving husband through an Ultra Wormhole, but she still loved her children by that time and the *only* reason she went crazy, was because she was infected by Nihilego's neurotoxins she simply wasn't herself during SM where was that detail?! also the Sada/Turo AI protecting the 'time machine' (i still think it is an imagination-reality machine), isn't in their control, it was a safety protocol

You guys also forgot the villains of Colosseum and Gale of Darkness and Faba, who caused most of the problems that led to Mohn's disappearance and Lusamine going crazy. Holy Arceus, Greevil is a nasty piece of work. He's the one who started the Shadow Pokemon fiasco and Go Rocket's Giovanni stole his research

I disagree with most of this list. Penny should be at the top of the list, Both Ghetsis and Lysandre should be lower and (as much as I don't like her) Lusamine should be higher.
The Giovanni of Rainbow Rocket is not the same one we beat in Kanto. It’s clear this is a Giovanni from a parallel reality where Team Rocket ruled Kanto. He should be the real “Gold” of Evil for creating the devious group. Heck, he’s in Masters EX. Also, you choose Penny and Jessie/James…but IGNORE Mewtwo?!?!
Side Note: I don’t see Volo as “bronze material” given he came off as having a “Notice me, senpai!” type obsession with Arceus when I played. He seemed petty when Giratina decided to flee after they lost and chose to defend Hisui with the Trainer instead. His biggest crime should be making things bad enough that Arceus abducts a random kid, Isekai’d them into the past and leaves their fate in the air once all is said and done. The “God of Pokémon” decides to send an errand boy instead of fixing things himself, even seemingly trying to kill us after completing the Dex in his secret boss battle If he comes back, give him freaking Darkrai
Why would he put Mewtwo on this list? Mewtwo is a pokemon and I'm pretty sure it on the psychic good to evil list.
Most of these Pokemon villains will most likely get the death penalty, peachy. ylyou know because of their multiple counts of eco-terrorism, terrorism, crimes against humanity, mass murderer, attempted mass murder, and a bunch of others. Obviously Giovanni is number one do multiple reasons. This guy in Pokemon committed so many crimes of attempted mass murder, attempted genocide, Eco terrorism, and the list goes on including crimes against humanity yeah that's Giovanni for you. I feel bad for silver but he still need like go to juvenile detention.

Silver is awful. He NEVER earned his so-called redemption arc, and should be later in the video than his father. Edit: Speaking of, you should’ve separated RR Giovanni from the original. This list is an overall mess.
I've told you before: Pokemon Scarlet and Violet don't have any antagonists right now. Not even in the first part of the DLC. The professors weren't evil, they just really wanted to make their dreams reality. Stop doing all these wrong rankings, people.

I just Kyle and Brad would learn to study Pokémon more, because they obviously new to the Japanese game series. 🤨😤 For example: • gar-BOH-DURR (As in Garbage and Odor!) • yoo-NUH-vuh (I heard Ash, his friends, and multiple residents of the 5th region pronounce it that way!) • LYE-SAN-DURR (I heard Alain, Team Flare, Ash, etc, pronounce it that way in the XY series!)
