Montenegro randomly turning into north macedonia is just amazing .
yeah "geography expert"
That was the best part of the video.

I love how Drew just keeps mistaking North Macedonia for Montengero💀

Okay, besides the whole Montenegro and N. Macedonia stuff, this was a really cool video idea! Would definitely like to see more.
you should make alliance members contribute to combat where each alliance member is +1 on the dice or -1 for the enemy
He could also have alliance/union members getting some land when their ally successfully attacks? Not sure how exactly it’d work, but I think it sounds cool
Great idea, but +1 is not enough. At least +3. I would personally do +5 for the first ally and then +3 for every member
perhaps the alliance member contributes a 1d4 or 1d6?
@@TheSkyShaft yeah that's a great idea. What about dice with the number of cities as dice sides? Eg. Poland has 6 cities from killing 5 countries, so you roll a d6 for them
Maybe if the nation is in an alliance they get to roll with advantage
Drew needs to make an apology video to the entire country of Montenegro.

"The first invading country is Czechia" me a Czech: peace was never an option
Alliances just dun feel like alliances. They feel like non-aggression pacts and maybe military access. My suggestion would be that the roll against a country that is in an alliance is tougher to win. Up to a 3, you no longer exist. Up to a 7, you lose land. Up to an 11, no changes. Up to a 16, you take land. Up to a 20, you take them over. This might be a bit unbalanced for this, but would give alliances meaning.
Haha, its funny how europe ends with a Romanian-Hungarian conflict.
As a Hungarian, it gave great pain that Hungary died by Romania, but at least we endured untill the last battle.
With you brotha
As a Romanian great fight, great country but in my Romanian blood I still hate you. Never got Transylvania back💀💀💀💀

Yup 🗿
As a British who votes for Ireland more the Irish would have there dream come true in the game but I don't think in real life.
You can update the alliance where , the country that is being attacked, will role a number and there will be 50-50 possibility. If it’s allied country will help it or not. if the country gets help from its alliance, then the invaders role will be reduced by one tier/color . That is If the invader is concurring the whole land (10-20), it will conquer some land(6-9) or if it is conquering some land then nothing happens Edit: spelling
its a military alliance, why wouldnt they help?
@@nicolasspray though military alliance on paper says that they have to give back up , the last decisions are still made by the leaders so it will be good for the game if there is a chance in that, and if the allied country always helps, then these countries will never be overtaken by invaders, prolonging the game
"A hungary-slovakia union sounds OK" Yeah for hungarians, the slovaks may not like it very much lol.
Can’t wait for Czechia-Austria
2:19 Agreed. I hope using maps with rivers will be a permanent part for future videos of this game
You should make it so that if you have an alliance what happens when you roll the dice. For example if you attack the the attacker needs a 15 or higher
Hungary vs Romania final is poetic
If you do proceed with a World scenario, i hope you make it so if the arrow goes to the edge of the map, it actually loops around the globe
This is such a cool concept, it definitely needs more development but I cant wait for the future! A few suggestions that I have from my experience of making battle Royales Make the alliances and the unions more impactful maybe make it change the odds by +1 or -1 Have less total takeovers but more realistic land grabs, it’s funny but it feels more immersive and realistic If nations have conquered others or have minorities include them in the civil wars, maybe multiple sides? If a nation is super overstretched and gets conquered maybe create new rebel nations as though the empire is collapsing and separatists are rising up It’s up to you which ones of these you can use, also there’s a possibility that it just causes the game to never end so maybe make the world battle Royale like a series of videos
Wait where can I play this game
What do you mean?
Of course Hungary and Romania was the last standing. They were fighting for Transylvania....again
You should try 1-4 aggressor dies 5-8 aggressor loses territory 9-11 nothing happens 12-16 aggressor takes territory 17-20 aggressor conquerors
9-11?!

I feel like the alliance mechanics could use some work like maybe when an alliance attacks their odds of taking over are higher than a single country and their odds of losing are lower, and same thing for unions but when unions lose the entire thing gets taken over not just the country that got. Chosen in the wheel
I would LOOOOOVE to see this with the whole world 😁❤ there’s a ton of countries so you could also do that in a few different videos. I love these videos thank you 😊 ❤

Of course the video ended with the Hungary Romania rivalry
As a Macedonian, we aint sleepy like Montenegro why are you mistaking us☠️💀
Drew: "they oofed every Italian in the peninsula" Drew 2 seconds later: "I guess they wanted more Italian speakers" 💀
I really enjoyed this but i think a good addition would be for between 10 and 15 rolls a large gain would be made rather than just occupying the whole country (though i do realise this may make the game take much longer)
There is no real advantage in gaining land. You just become a bigger target
It would be really cool if you had a Timelapse of the whole Battle Royale Map at the end of the video. E.g: a screenshot after every month and put them together
What if instead of each month being a war or an alliance or something else, you spun a wheel for each month, with like an 80% chance of war, 10% chance of alliance etc. so it’s a little more randomized?
Romania vs Hungary, a truly beautiful rivalry.
As a Romanian, I feel very proud
Same

18:29 Serbians: The ideal Yugoslavia
Nice job Drew keep up the good work Perhaps once you’ve perfected your game someone could code it into an actual game/app
Ya he should
cant believe i just sat through 42 minutes of static map of Europe just changing colours and i still enjoyed it lmfao. and can we just appreciate how the rise and fall of Luxembourg happened, such a tiny nation with a pack of punch lmao
I think that wars should be based on population. I country would have a higher population of winning a battle based on its population, you can change the settings to do this in wheel of names
It should be 10 for nothing happens then progressively getting better or worse depending on which side it is on, unification should act like a country is token over but with two capitals (spin capitals red black blue ect), you would have a separate week for the countries around the attacker
Funny how you chose Porto for the civil war in Portugal considering the Liberal Revolution of 1820 AKA the Revolution of Porto
The Romania-Hungary final battle was cinematic
Had it be a number from 4 to 9 we could've seen a civil war pop up
Drew to make alliances more useful is to like give +10 defense. Like for example if nation x attacks nation y who’s allied and rolls 10 it would be 10-10= 0 so the attack is repelled. Something like that cuz it now feels so unimportant
in this scenario the "Alliance" acted more like "Non-Aggression Pacts" tbf
I from hungary, and in the final, we lose from romania, thats lots of pain😢
Something that could be cool is it a country has a ally it rolls a d25 whenever attacking and whenever attacked the attacking nation rolls a d15 (So alliances provide bonus to allied countries in war)
The wheel trying to say what is montenegro, but Drew no, it’s North Macedonia. Drew you are secret macedonian.😄🇲🇪🇲🇰
Bro literally gave Bulgaria to North Macedonia when it was Montenegro’s time to shine
Drew literally confused north Macedonia for Montenegro for the entire entire video💀💀💀
Suggestion to make alliances matter a bit more, +1 when attacking, -1 when being attacked
3:16 fun fact: In 17th century poland and sweden for short period of time were united under one king
I love how Drew turned north Macedonia into Montenegro
Drew starts off this video by causally giving Austria the southern portion of the Sudetenland!
10 years of geography, calls Montenegro north Macedonia :skull:
I feel like aliances need a 'buff'. My first thought is that if someone is in an alliance, defeating them in a war (if you attack them) is gonna be harder. Because It's ganna be harder to fight france and germany at the same time instead of only france you know
the ideology thing feels kinda useless, maybe you can update it to be better, also the alliance and unification things also feel like they need a little bit of improvement, maybe, when one of the alliance members/unified country gets attacked it has a bigger chance to win against the attacker PS: I wont mention that Macedonia is not Montenegro
That was an amazing battle royale! I hope to see more episodes!
Stop saying "BrO MisTAKeN NorTH MaCedoNia AnD MONtERneGo🤓👆" Lets appreciate his work
I bet a lot of Portuguese were really happy with the civil war. I'm one of them! Also the Portuguese-Spanish rivalry is realllllyyyyyyy old.
Please keep making those long videos,i love them!
The man who beged Got his wish (the guy that wanted a Malta flag in the background)
DREW HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW THE BALKANS OF ALL PLACES
14:20 Drew for sure knowing we want to see civil war action: Oh it’s going to Iceland!
6:46, Montenegro came up which should have been a battle with Serbia with Serbia losing but he when with Macedonia for some reason and eliminated Bulgaria. Bulgaria will be furious at him for NOT KNOWING his European Geography
Lol Funny rivalry at the end, funny how those two found themselves fighting in the final.
To make it fair for larger countries you could scale the dice roll up if the country has more capitals conquered, making it harder to kill
More of this please. Keep em droppin.
Drew is slowly perfecting this game of his. Keep it up 👍
I think that a 20 attack roll should give the same effect as unification, with a 2x chance for getting picked.
Imagine how much it would change if drew didnt switch them up
These videos are really good. Would be great to see more.
Montenegro no his victory has been stolen cause of drew messing up
Please make more of these, i love them
I like the changes about the dice rolls meaning, but I feel like it would be fairer to do : 1 - invader gets fully annexed by the target 5 - target gets half of the invader's territory 10 - nothing changes 15 - invader gets half of the target's territory 20 - invader fully annexes target
Not Drew forgetting kaliningrad 💀
North Macedonia: Wow big empire! Montenegro: it was supposed to be mine North Macedonia: Shut up montenegro!
i think doing a battle royale like this but on a divided european map would be cool
I have one big suggestion, please change the invader from having a 50% chance of entirely conquering the other country I would change the complete invasion to 15-20 or 17-20
This is the first video when my country (Hungary) almost won😊
as a romanian, i find it ironic that romania and hungary, 2 historical enemies fought in the end
You attack a alliance I think you need a 6-9 for a little land 10-15 for more and 16-20 for fully taken over
24:25 It's almost Transylvania
I love how Drew keeps saying that Slovakia is Hungary's brother, and Poland is Hungary's enemy, when it's the exact opposite LMAO
Ah yes the beautiful Bulgarian city of Lasi
Attacking a Alliance should give you disadvantage (two dive rolls, use the lowest number) and attacking while in an Alliance give the attacker a advantage (two rolls, use highest).
i love how the finale was Romania vs Hungary
Drew, the Lithuanians did own Belarus in real life, but it was in the middle ages/ early modern period, like in EU4.
As a Pole i am happy with how long Poland lasted :)
the victory against Hungary was so much sweeter, because we were the last two countries
Congratulations! You beat us.
@@randomhungarianperson 🤣I mean it was all rng anyway, but it was funny to see Romania and Hungary be the last 2 standing.
Drew you should have it so when a country has an ideology they can re roll one dice based on how many allies they have. So if they Allie to everybody then they become unstoppable like in real life.
the last thing i expected to see today was the town I lived in for 10 years to become a main character in a Drew video (Iași)
I love when Drew uploads
18:48 lithuania got their old borders back (excluding Russia)
A rework for the civil war system- If they have any territories that weren't taken through an absolute victory, they will revolt always, replacing the default civil war, though in more severe civil war the default type will also appear. Any appearing nations will have their own ideology randomised- the default will be XYZist [Country]. The following year, during the civil war the default will have a stalemate where it continues to the next turn, a victory, a loss and another side appearing before repeating the same for the next side until the turn is over. Revolting territories eg France rebelling against Germany will have Partial independence, with small territories, loss, victory and puppeteering where it has an alliance with the country its rebelling against+ Partial victory territories (it'll also revert to the default or its puppeteer's ideology)
As a Porto Portuguese person, the ability to declare war on Lisbon is a great feeling, and even overcomes the fact that for the majority of the video, Montenegro was a synonym for (North) Macedonia
Update: Losing to Lisbon was heartbreaking. All of Iberia should be united under Spanish or Porto-guese rule
@@nkbm3120 why not keep it the way it is so nobody dies?
Game mechanic idea for global map game: split up the ocean into semi-large zones (gulf of mexico size) so we don't have a situation of iceland naval invasion of brazil (cause spinner arrows)
31:25 turn your screen to the side (use screen lock) and you can tell it’s against france
I did something similar Drew but I did 1-4 Invader loses everything 5-9 Invader loses some land 10 Nothing happens 11-15 Invader takes land 16-20 Invader takes everything
This is a great video but I think it should be 15-20 instead of 10-20 for taking the whole country. Still a great video drew
I think, in order to represent alliances, win a country, who is a part of an alliance gets attacked. The dice should be rolled twice as a way to represent the allies coming to help them, and either taking the better of the two options, or always taking a second option.
