The mace is one of the coolest things I have ever seen in Minecraft tbh. Its just so unique while also fitting the Minecraft vibe
I heavily dislike that density is mutually exclusive with breach now because why would you ever use breach that only deals more damage to armoured stuff if you could use the enchantment that deals more to everything

This would be my setup for Survival. I would put Sharpness on the sword, Smite on the axe, and Density on the mace. Breach is for a PVP setting.
I still think Wind Burst should be un-nerfed so you can at least activate it with a simple jump again rather than having to fall one block or more, especially with all the Density nerfs....
Real it was fun chaining jumps with wind burst
you can still chain hits with Wind burst, all you need to do extra is start with either jumping from 3 or more blocks, or use a wind charge. After that, wind burst works exactly the same. All that nerf does, is make it so that if you miss when using the wind burst, you can't go right back into the chain, making skill and precision rewarded.

@@mrjack3855 The point of the Mace isn't to "Replace" the sword or any other weapon, it's meant to compliment them, and not take away from the current combat. It's made to be a fun, and powerful weapon, not the only weapon you'll need.

They have completely ruined the mace. Each nerf was more and more unnecessary and pointless. WTF is mojang doing??
The mace is at a point that it's almost not worth doing the grind to get it I feel. Like before, it was insane I guess but I was exited to use it. Now I'm at a point where I don't know when I would use it in a survival world. Because if you use it on something tanky nowadays, which is what I would of used it for, you would either have to do a bunch of hits from like 6 blocks up or tower like hundreds of blocks in the air
I did the math on the new damage fall-off From 2-10 blocks, the new version of the mace does does more Anything greater than a 10 block fall, and the old version that didn't have damage fall-off did more damage
I'm not surprised. it just goes to show how unthinking much of this criticism often is toward the developers. Or at least under informed.
I don’t understand why they keep nerfing the mace. Sure it may be op in pvp but just do t play pvp then? Or play without maces? Most people play single player and at this point with the cooldown once you use wind burst you won’t even be able to hit it again and bounce back up. It’s already the hardest weapon to get in the game at least make it worth the trouble
getting a netherite sword is arguably harder. you need to go to a bastion

while i do slightly agree with the cooldown complaints, i don't think it should be buffed again. no matter what they do to the mace, as Kingbdogz has said, it will always be the strongest weapon. wind burst still works with the cooldown, so there is no issue of it being useless with the new cooldown, the one thing i would suggest for them to do is make it do the most damage on base hit, if you will have to wait that long. everything else is fine, as the mace is still extremely overpowered. It seems a lot of people are making the nerfs sound worse than they are.
that cooldown sucks mojang is just removing what made the mace unique the fall damage being halved makes it even worse
the fall damage is actually higher for the first ten blocks. anything above that is just unrealistic to be used that often in actual gameplay, and would be just exploited to cheese fights like the wither or the end dragon. the cooldown also makes sense with a very big and heavy weapon like the mace, although the base damage should be higher then, maybe closer to the axe than the sword.
Now the only things I need in 1.21 are 1. More commands 2. Chunks on bedrock 3.better ui 4.specteral arrows in bedrock 5. Wither nerf 6.the mace bufffffffff!!!

Mojang either needs to buff the damage and keep the insane grind or keep the mace the same and make it more common cause in its current state it’s gonna be so niche that nobody will care about it. At the very least they should keep the mace the exact same but not make all the enchantments exclusive to one another. Edit: Man I didn’t know a comment about Minecraft update balancing would spark an all out war in the replies💀
Fr, because with how much they nerfed the mace recently, I'm more likely to get the new music discs and put those in my collection and not even care that I got a heavy core. Sure, the mace was OP before, but you have to go through so much to get it in the first place, likely beating several trial chambers just to get 1 mace.

@@lazarpetrovic1671then why add it? Most weapons already oneshot most mobs, and to oneshot the bosses you need to travel 100 blocks up, why would anyone bother to travel to the trail chamber?
@@ralsei7820 that still doesn't fix anything as breach can work even without having to fall so the mace still would do more damage per second to armored players, only true way to fix breach and still keep the old maces attack speed is to make it so that breach only works after you fall a specific amount of blocks like wind burst

Alright im getting a little tired of the mace nerfs. I certainly agree it was too op but the direction it’s going snapshot to snapshot is giving me that “piss scared Mojang” energy where they’ll eventually keep nerfing it and nerfing it until they’ve made it an axe but worse. I still think it should be reworked to also have a sweeping edge like enchantment for the impact push on groups of mobs and the ability to throw it and give it channeling just like a trident so we can literally have Thor’s hammer.
I get the fact they need to nerf the Mace, but at this point, the Mace is useless. It'll take too much effort to use efficiently and you'd be as well just using a sword or smthn.

The attack speed is WAY to slow, combat on java is already to slow for many, now the mace will feel gross to use
I tried the new snapshot, and it makes it so that you have to time your attacks well
@@Wombattuus Yeah, but this attack speed change was WAY too much. You can't even use the wind charges with it properly because of how long it takes to charge up. Its pretty much unusable now. It shouldn't be as fast a sword, but there is no need for it to be this slow. Because now, it feels like crap to use.

@@Wombattuus ...Once every two seconds. Netherite axe attack speed of (-3) would be acceptable. -3.5 is absurd. At least with -3 it would be very possible to chain windburst jumps, as long as the player has good timings, but at -0.5 it *literally* is no longer possible. At all. Wind burst is pointless now.

I really wish they would consider adding the old wind burst back (where you would get a free wind charge if you hit a player while being on ground ) Like imagine how fun mace pvp would’ve been Ik it’s too op since it easily kills the wither but they could just make it that it won’t activate if you’re in the air or something
The Mace is just too conditional now, and relatively too high risk for any "normal" player. Wind Burst should be reverted, and I don't see how it's useful now and how that's rare to find. The Mace concept was GREAT, but now just why would I use it? Im no PVP player, and I'd rather just use a bow, which can be enchanted to be more powerful.
People can always create data packs to buff the weapon again by just changing some values

Reposting from another channel because this topic's pretty important to me personally. Anyone salty about the mace balance changes seriously needs to do more in-game testing, or get their heads checked. Breach is an additive reduction, not a multiplicative one [eg. 60% armor -60% = 0%, not 60%*(1-0.6)=24%], which makes it do a lot more damage than it should. It shouldn't be compatible with density. You still do extremely strong damage with the mace (from my testing, jumping from 2 blocks, without jump boost, and landing a crit leaves a full netherite target with 1.5 hearts with Breach IV) so it's still worth using. It might not be a sword replacement, but that would be unhealthy for the game to suddenly devalue an entire class of weapon just because one is rarer. It's much better to have a healthier ecosystem of equipment in which both have a use. The mace before the current changes was overtuned and eclisped every other weapon. It was absolutely necessary for it to be tuned down to how it is now, which is in a strong, but respectable state. I urge people to spend a few minutes to spawn a few mobs and test the changes before they lose themselves to emotions and come to the conclusion that "the mace is useless!!1", because it's clearly not.

@@Clashhass nah it needs to be really powerful to offset how hard it is to obtain and how niche its uses are. it's just a useless gimmick now, like a worse version of the trident.

While I do like most of the nerfs, I do think they did it a bit too much. The mace should definitely be slower (or even better, less reach), but then getting rid of damage kinda just ruins it. I think it should be just slightly less fast, and slightly less damage than a diamond sword. Hope they realize they debuffed it a bit too much.
or give it the highest base damage of all the weapons, this in combination with different attack reaches for every one of the for weapons would make a great addition to combat and encourage different playstyles. you would have maybe the mace as the slow heavy hitter and the trident as the fast poke weapon, while the sword still would excel in fights against larger groups of enemies. the axe could maybe stay as middleground between sword and mace.
Mobile Minecraft needs to have chunks border for you can see where the edge of a chunk
I gotta say that the slow build up for the mace doesn't make me wanna use it that much. If I'm in a pinch and have to wait more than double the time to be able to swing that thing compared to a sword or axe, i'm gonna choose the sword or axe. I mean it doesn't even have a base damage as good as a diamond sword. Combine that with the slow build up and the thing feels like a paperweight.
Bruh the whole point of the mace is not to be a sword. It still does a LOT of damage when you jump with wind charges

Ime curious, did they fix the bug of duping from last snapshot?
Prior to ominous vaults I got four heavy cores after exploring 8 Chambers. After ominous vaults came out, I've done about 20 ominous trials got maybe 6/7 keys and no heavy core. The ominous spawners need to kick out ominous keys at a higher rate I've had many more ominous vaults than keys
I think that might be intentional. Giving significantlymore unopened loot then keys both gives players more opportunities per dungeon, as well as more replays per dungeon. It's a good way around effectively static loot container locations.

Hey wattles, the wither storm mod you showcased a few months ago got an update. You should make a video about it.
I think branded/sponsored capes are fine if they are done similarly to the leaked Twitch and TikTok capes and if they make sense. Where the branding is not obvious aside from colour schemes. For example, MTN Dew Game Fuel or Oreo could promote Minecraft like they did for Halo Infinite in 2023 in the U.S. and Canada, and Pac-Man in the EU in 2024.

Id recommend looking at the lore behind the end which helps in understanding why the end hasnt, and may not be updated. If it were it would be pretty limited in what they would add. I wont go into the lore but the most that would make sense is a ruined biome infested with endermites, an end ore, and ancient plants maybe bones
With the new Chunk performance update not only C2ME has some competition but also ksyxis for world loading performance

You can pretty much 1v1 with warden with just mace, wind charges, p4 armor and potions. Tested.

Tbh the change of the attack speed did NOT need to be this drastic. The mace is now basically unusable with wind charges due to the time it takes for it to charge up once you switch to it. I'm okay with the other changes to damage, but the slow attack speed makes it pretty much unusable now. Honestly, Mojang should just either increase the attack speed or remove the feature where an item has to charge up when you switch to it before you can attack with it. Because right now, the mace is pretty useless in combat and borderline unusable now.

@@universalphoenix507 The slower cooldown makes it unusable in normal combat. Now it can pretty much only be used for sneak attacks on other players.
@@user-dc1qg5lo7r bruh the cooldown doesn't affect the mace when you're jumping from a high place, it still can one-shot almost every mob in the game
@@BiancaVargas-fn7go It doesn’t affect it no, but it makes it too niche. Sure you can one-shot anything in the game, but a Sharpness 5 diamond sword can two-shot most common enemies without the hassle of needing to fall from high up. Its outclassed is all I’m saying.

Even though the mace is a new weapon, which is awesome in itself. It's really sad to see the Devs nerfing it so much not really exciting for it anymore, at this point I'd rather get one and just use it as a decoration or trophy then as a weapon. Such a shame in my opinion!

@BiancaVargas-fn7go I have played with it. It is cool, but I personally don't see the desire anymore to work hard to get it now, other than for a cool looking new weapon to be placed on a wall. Personally, I think the enchantments could be better. For instance, I definitely don't see the desire to get the wind burst enchantment when basically all it does is cause more fall damage to the player.
