  • Great work on the tank. The elevator music is killing me.

  • If you were to add some rivets made from half beads or styrene rod, that'd look very effective once painted. Like you said, riveting isn't great as it's old tech for tanks from ww1, but seeing how the majority of imperial guard stuff has a ww1 aesthetic it fits

  • Next time you build a Russ or a Chimera, try giving it 1:30 scale Tiger tracks. The extra width makes a Russ look a lot more aggressive!

    • You know, I was thinking about that because I actually had one laying around but keep your eyes peeled. There is another future tank coming

  • I'm not a gamer, but I've been building models for over half a century. This is some good, old-school scratch building you are doing, Mr. TAR MAN. In this day and age of 3D Printing, it's good to see that the old ways haven't completely gone out of style. I do have a question: Where did you get those bags of plastic disks / wheels you used for detailing shown at 0:28? (Did you find these at Hobby Lobby, along with the Jewelry Storage Tubes you used for the cannon?) I've got some scratch building ideas of my own that could use these details, and I suspect that here I'm not alone here among your viewers thinking this. 26th like. Subscribed.

    • Thanks! Next time I'm at Hobby Lobby, I'll check that out. What are they? They don't look like buttons. Does toluene-based solvent work on them, or did you use Super Glue?@@tarman1634

    • I just got 'em! In case anyone else is interested, they're called "Plastic Snaps," part number 345975, and are made by "Sew-Ology." One of the snaps' details even looks a bit like the wheels on a German Panzer IV. Thanks for the tip, TAR MAN! @@tarman1634

  • Rivets on AFVs (armored fighting vehicles) is pretty a-spalling! HAHAHAHAHAHA! Dad/tanker jokes, they are pretty bad.

    • Hopefully the Imperium has the technology of spall liners.

    • It’s the madness of the 40K universe. As a self propelled artillery guy I look at the barrel to turret and vehicle ratio of Imperial vehicles and often wonder how the ammo racks are laid out. Then I think of the poor loaders; even with hydraulic assistance; because I’m pretty sure auto-loading tec was largely lost in the dark age.
