I enjoyed it.I do think that it's getting unwarranted hate.The film wasn't bad and despite it's hiccups.The DCEU had it's good moments.

I always enjoy your brave takes. That is clearly not the way people are going to take this movie, but man I want to look at it optimistically too. Even joyfully. This movie was killed before it could even be finished. It sucks that the original vision would never be realized.
What original vision
I will give the movie a lot of credit for one thing. It was trying to juggle with a LOT of things. Even though it had so many arcs that it's trying to conclude, the fact that the story is actually pretty cohesive is REALLY impressive. After the movie ended, I actually found myself feeling pretty good.
That's sad. There's millions of people wanting to make it big in the industry, so the competition is always rough.
Ocean Master has one of the best superhero landings of all time before the final 1v1 with Aquaman.

DC should just stick with stand alone films that don’t connect at all and be their own thing. That’s what made The Batman so special
The Batman isn't a stand alone film, it's the first of a planned trilogy.

I think the ONLY thing I truly didn’t like about the movie was the humor. Take note James Gunn: less is more.
It was kind of forced. Also, why would Arthur expect his brother to get all of his surface world references. The guy has no frame of reference for the jokes Arthur tells at all.

The MCU had a better funeral for its Infinity Saga. It may still have a better funeral for its Multiverse Saga. Time will tell. No pun intended.

Infinity Saga/Multiverse Saga Thats an invisible line people put to protect there previous love for the older mcu movies. At the end of the day MCU doesnt have any "funerals"

A brawny , fish out of water, long haired, newly crowned king who isn't quite ready for leadership and is forced to team up with his estranged, villain turned ally , brother( but not quite brother) to face e threat from the past (who wields mystic power and is allied with the dead/undead ) to save their magic, far away , kingdom, while cracking jokes all the while. Not a bad idea. Seems that I've seen this before though.

Same here.I really don't get the hate for it.
I gave up and lost interest the moment it was said, the dceu would be reborn. Also when the flash was supposed to reset everything for a fresh start and it didn't. Just made things more confusing. Plus there is the whole Amber heard situation which probably didn't help either. Won't discuss what everyone thinks of her. So many things lead to the fall of DCEU. It started from bvs movie. Too many things were rushed.

Any movie from a major studio had to be a big deal. The "care free" turn your brain off crowd is the problem. Yall will buy anything.
In my personal opinion, Black Manta shouldn't blame Arthur for his father's death, they both brought it on themselves and were robbing and killing innocent people, what happened to his father was his own fault and I think that Black Manta is honestly stupid if he thinks Arthur killed his father
That's kinda why he's the villain. To him, Aquaman let his father die when he could've saved him. Nothing else mattered to him.

I actually really enjoyed this movie. It is an underrated banger, and I think people need to give this film a chance as an Aquaman sequel, rather than the end of the DCEU. 8/10
If it wasn't the end of the DCEU I think they would've. It's honestly not that bad, just not this big send off to the DCEU.

Aquaman and black manta’s rivalry and dynamic was completely butchered and that truly sucks because that’s what I was looking forward to the whole movie. I wanted that same intense and epic feel I got reading them in the comics but sadly it was painfully rushed. I feel for James wan and Jason momoa because Ik they had a special story in the beginning to tell but because of Warner bros idiotic management with the DC brand and amber heard being the worst person in the Hollywood they had to re shoot the whole movie and with James Gunn basically scrapping everything in DC at this point I feel like James wan and Jason momoa were completely burnt out and frustrated with the whole thing. Truly a sad and brutal end. Jason and James truly did the best with the shit hand they had in the end.
I agree. I think they (warner) did not take manta as a threat alone so they addeded sauron. It's like if the mcu thought mysterio wasn't a threat to spiderman so they make him the servant of a darth vader wanna be.

yeah I really enjoyed this movie as well saw it opening night and its sad but I'm happy it wasn't deleted and it has a mature story which is quite relevant to rn because Aquaman for me was the hero that inspired me to swim when I was a kid and tells us that we need to be better in forming the bonds with others as well the Bond to our own planet, In my review I gave it a 8 out of 10

I couldn't immersed myself into the film with the level of choppy editing and sloppy dialogue. Aquaman 2 doesn't have to be an impressive feet but shouldn't leave a viewer bored or worse disappointed with what could have been.
I enjoyed it, it was just fun. My only real gripe is I felt it was a little too long.

This movie felt like a Hallmark movie but with a much bigger CGI budget. If a very poor prior track record and a certain controversial actress weren't attached to it, I'm sure it would've done as well as the last one. And for what it's worth, Black Manta was cast and written perfectly.
It was probably good that they didnt cut off amber Heard character...dont know what was their motivation for the same, it shows maturity..i absolutely condemned her for what she did to depp, but greatly reducing her screen time rather than cut her off completely or replace her with someone new for just one movie (as this dceu is done for all we know) was a smart choice..and also stayed faithful to the first movie
I loved this movie actually.
Trust me most people who don't like this movie don't care this is the last we see of these dc movies, the movie just simply not good. It plague with multiple reshoot resulted in a glaring editing problem. The story is also a jumble mess and did not fully utilize any story line to its full potential. The nail in the coffin is how you can clearly see all of the actors just phone it in and it's just painful to watch in some scene

Aquaman 2 as the NINTH DCEU box office flop out of fifteen movies. The DCEU should have been buried right after Black Adam flopping.
They messed this film up by editing out Mera. Mera, the love story, and what should have been the dynamic of Aquaman, his wife, and his brother that used to he engaged to his brother. That is what's missing.
I didn't wanna see this movie in protest but i saw the trailer about brotherly love and -.- i kinda wanna see that. I hope it's not a trap.
Actually it’s the end to a trilogy, there was an animated 3 part mini series called AQUAMAN KING OF ATLANTIS. It actually kinda bridges the gap from the end of the first movie to the this new movie. Now be forworned it was made by Victor Courtright, the creator of Thundercats Roar. So its artstyle and animation is… an acquired taste. But I recommend watching it before this new movie. It might explain some things.

This movie was soo bad it's offensive. I have no idea WHAT movie you saw. Story wise: Aquaman doesn't know anything about his kingdom he kept not knowing stuff about what he rules, his resources or impact. Only oceanmaster and manta were in the same movie and turned in a performance Momoa who I have loved was terrible, phoned in and didn't get even into shape for the film it was soo phoned in! The ending line copying "I am Ironman" an iconic line to say an unearned "I am Aquaman" was boarderline offensive Also everyone knows he's Aquaman he was taking selfies with fans in the first movie!!! They turned serious Aquaman to a dumbed down Thor/ real life Momoa hybrid I mean the Guinness didn't help. This movie is a 3.5/10 out of respect for the artist and charisma

Putting Snydercut digs in Barbie, as well as their HQ show (tbf no one watches the show). Removing the connective tissues from the latter films and inserting insulting gag scenes. WB and Gunn wanted the DCEU to go out sad, and essentially cut off their own nose to spite their face.

I wasn’t going to give this movie the time of day since Amber Heard was in it. Which is a shame since I liked the first film in the franchise.

Just because a movie is goofy doesn’t mean it’s fun to watch. You can like Aquaman 2 but don’t make excuses for it, this is beyond a stretch you’re making.
I thought the movie was great
I was surprised at how much fun I had with this movie. Jason Momoa and Patrick Wilson were so much fun to watch together. I wish that they would have let more of Black Manta’s personality from the first movie show. The messaging was a little bit heavy handed. The fight scenes and camera work were amazing as usual for James Wan. I loved that Randall Park got more screen time but I felt like he was being held back when it came to how funny he was in comparison to Ant-Man and the Wasp.
This movie wasn't fun at all. It was barely entertaining. Much more boring & meandering than I expected it to be. The attempts at humor were embarrassing, the dialigue was a cringe-fest, & the acting was either over the top or phoned in. No one in it seemed to care & so I didn't either.

James Gunn had nothing to do with it. Dc is paying for the blunders made by WB. Gunn is trying to course-correct---although it has been a bizarre year for DC.
@@josephhirning2642 James Gunn is 100% also to blame period he was the one who announced a reboot while films were still coming out which caused the studio to lose millions and he was the one who did re-shoots that made no sense added nothing to the franchise or completely messed up what was already established. Prime example would be the George Clooney cameo, so yes, he also is part of the problem
