A smooth Cadillac-like ride survives. I had to have it years ago in a nostalgic way as it reminded me of the retro long surfboards of the 60s. One big wind day at the Hatchery I got into trouble out on the water. Brian dropped in the water next to me and and I got back in safely due to his efforts. Brian designed this board so since that time I have liked my Windance boards even more. Okay, I didn’t need the 6.3 but worked fine. Just had it shipped from Seattle last week and had to try it out asap. I would have been fine on my 5.5. The Exoskin I’m wearing over my 543 wetsuit is a true windbreaker and keeps me on the water longer. Ribs healing up nicely but I tweeked them just a bit but this too shall pass and taking it “relaxed” till healed up. A short capsule of time. Forgot my PFD for the last time. Water is getting warmer, get out there and get it or i will tell! Thanks for watching.

  • Hey that is cool you rode one out here! We def have mutual feelings on the vintage Windance boards. Was sad to hear that Dick had passed . I think last time I sailed there I was on a 4.0 getting hammered. It was a big day I remember that and Dick was always a very kind host. Glad however that Joe is enjoying it there on the Big Lake at Dick’s old place. Beautiful spot. Thanks for watching!

  • Hi Marcus! I had a yellow late 80's vintage Windance poly for 2 weeks in 1991. Great Boards. Bought it used when Dill screwed mine and Dick Gaffney Board reservations. had no way to get it home so I sold it to Mike Kearney who drove it home for $100 less than I paid. Win- Win. Years later I replaced the box for Mike for free when he hit something. I service my used equipment sales 🤣 Dick passed a few years ago. Sure miss drinking beer at his camp with you and all the guys😪

    • Yes it’s easier for me than any other jibe but will begin to mix it up once I get recovered and am not in “protect” mode :) thanks for watching
