At 63 my aging isn’t premature! LOL. BUT I’m STILL gonna take good care of my skin so maybe in my 80’s someone will say wow you look like you’re in your 60’s! And I’ll say because of Hyram!!!

One can only hope so😩🙏🙏
Ohooo i wish
@@hafsamoiz7014 I think that is impossible for most due to bone loss and lack of collagen and other factors in the skin. I do think if you take good care of your skin, you may well look 25 years younger if you use sunscreen, eat healthily and take care of your health generally. Sadly, a lot is genetic as well. But there is always plastic surgery or more invasive treatments if your best efforts stop working. The other thing that might happen is that you won't want to look in your 20's when your in your 60's and you will just want to look fantastic for your age. A lot of things cease to matter. While I envy the young their often beautiful skin, have no wish for that bland look or for the stresses of those younger ages. You may find there are many compensations for getting older, not least you don't care that much what others' think and you acquire experience, depth and wisdom in increasing degrees. Other things matter, personality, charm (hard to find these days), humour, intelligence, much more. But it is nice to look in the mirror and think 'I look good' at any age.

Can we please talk about how the comments seem to be obsessed with not aging at all? Premature aging=looking 10 years older than you really are, but people seem to want to look forever 20? I know society pressures (esp women) to never age but it's actually not shameful. Preventing premature aging is about looking your age and not like you just got out of high school, so please dont be ashamed about looking 30 when you're 30.
right ?! it’s like when men age it’s sexy like george clooney vibes but for women we’re expected to look young forever ??? :/ so annoying
Exactly what i was thinking! Honestly women’s obsession with staying 20 forever is really scary. Especially as an 18 year old i feel so old because im literally almost 20 😔 It’s sad how nobody wants to get older and wrinklier when it’s just how life is. Most of us are going to get wrinkles no point in being scared of a natural cycle. We need to stop being SO toxic o our own bodies
I have two points as to why I do "anti aging" skincare. 1. I'm super pale and don't want burns or skin cancer 😬 2. I get the baby face comment a lot and those people say "you'll look so good when you're old". Like what?? I'll get wrinkles just like everyone else! I'm going to sunscreen like crazy to prove it works to keep my skin healthy 😊 I can't regulate my facial movements though, I can only think about so much 😂
@@colleenrawson8477 well you're just doing "normal" skin care to prevent permanent damage, just like I am, so not really anti-aging (preventing and getting rid of wrinkles) 🤔 my point is about wanting to not age at all vs your point is about keeping your skin healthy and I think that those two are not exactly the same 😅
@@schwambibambi6492 yeah, you're right 😂 there's an interesting intersection of healthy vs. unhealthy and aging vs. youth. If my skin is very healthy, it will probably be more resilient to damage and also look younger. If it's not taken care of, it will be less resilient and show wrinkles and dark spots faster, looking older. I think it's wrong to equate age to damage, because is it damage if it's normal? But it's hard to separate youthful skin from healthy skin sometimes. 🤔
Hyram doesn’t know this but he is making everyone’s days so much better
WOAH WOAH WOAH!!! Let me get this perfectly straight: You comment something that is completely unrelated to the fact that I have two HAZARDOUSLY HOT girlfriends? I had premature aging in my late teens too! I didn't sleep enough, I didn't drink enough water, I didn't eat enough antioxidants/vitamin C, I didn't exercise, and I was stressed to the max. Now I follow a skincare routine with SPF, I sleep 8-9 hours a night, I drink 2-3 big containers of water, I eat a plant based diet, and I workout 2-3x a week. When I tell you I have never looked or felt this good I mean I've NEVER looked or felt this good! Take care of your body and it will take care of you too.

If you have kids, START THEM YOUNG. Even if it's just sunscreen until they reach an age where a routine is wanted/needed, it makes a HUGE difference. Creating lifelong habits in kids not only makes their lives better, but your life easier.
But if you put sunscreen on their face then they have to cleanse it off and if they cleanse it off they have to add moisture back 😔
@@ambersmith2612 not necessarily. You'd have to ask a certified derm this, but children's skin is different from adults. From what I gather, most of what they put on can just be washed off in a bath/shower and they'll be fine. There's a reason why derms don't have skincare regiments they recommend for kids other than sunscreen. It's cuz they don't need it.

At around 21, your skin produces 1% less collagen each year. So starting this as soon as you’re able is really important
should you start in your teens?
@@ayauna7561 In terms of *extra* procedures (face tools or expensive stuff), not likely. But there is never a too early time to incorporate cleansing, moisturizing, and sunscreening in the day. Some concerns as a teen is that your body chemistry is changing, so even if you use the same set of products, you might feel you need to use more/less frequently because your skin needs are changing (prone to dryness or oiliness). The second is acne and pimples; I’m mentioning two terms to differentiate a condition that would be best addressed by a dermatologist bc it’s face-wide patches or even chest/back acne vs. a handful of trouble spots on the face that have a pimple. If it’s the pimples then you could start introducing chemical exfoliant toners/treatments or changing your cleanser to one that includes some already. Skincare is preventative. You’ll survive with wrinkles, spots*, or scars on your face, but it could hurt your self-confidence and make you less assertive. When you solidify a routine of the basics (cleanse, moisturize, sunscreen in day) that you actually follow, it’ll be a lot easier to introduce or explore other products/treatments for specific concerns like acne or wrinkles.
@@ayauna7561 yes! Wear sunscreen every day and wear hats! I’m 29 and paying so dearly for not doing this when I was young.
Yeah like everyone is saying it’s always better to start early, start off with a gentle cleanser and moisturiser and ALWAYS ALWAYS use that SPF. Then you can start customising treatments based on what you need, nothing too harsh and introduce anything new slowly, so your skin doesn’t freak out. As a teen because of hormonal changes, keeping your routine really simple and of course fragrance free will be really beneficial for you ❤️
Im 19 and i already have so many wrinkles
For everyone who is new here ! ! - we don't like fragrance - eye creams are the same as moisturizers - YES to niacinamide - we live for the ordinary, Paulas choice, krave beauty and cerave - we love salicylic acid - the tight feeling after washing is NOT iconic sis - big NO to face wipes - we live for chemical exfoliation - we don't love physical exfoliation - peel of masks are stripping DIY skincare is definitely not pretty - we shimmy at the start of each video - lastly, Hyram is awesome!
9:10 Night 1: chemical exfoliant. Night 2: just moisturizer, focus on barrier repair. Night 3: Retinol... Hyram thank you for sharing that sequence, I will give it a shot starting tonight!
For night 1 and night 3 do you also add moisturizer afterwards? Or just the chemical exfoliant (which I will use Paula's choice bha 2%) and on the night 3 just retinol (I'm using tretnoin 0.05%)? That was the part I wasn't sure of. Thank you in advance ❤️

This was awesome! My favorite grandmother passed away just a few months ago at 84 and looked nothing close to her age. She was never outside and wore sunscreen when she was. Such an inspiration to me and I miss her so much. Thank you for your incredible content 🥰
Sorry about your grandma. This just proves that you cannot prevent ageing and all it's side effects, even if you manage to keep your skin looking good and younger for your age. The body and skin degenerate over time. There is no cure - yet. It's also worth thinking what if we all lived twice as long, say to 150 and what this would mean to society and individuals. I like what Ricky Gervaise says. Dying is like stupidity, someone else feels the pain (grief). We are lucky if we die of old age in our sleep. Some people have bad health all their lives. It is a privilige to grow old, so let's not be hung up only on how we look, but how we behave, how we live our lives, and also staying healthy in body and mind. I hope you continue to remember your grandmother with love and your grief fades over time.
Never going outside means she barely lived her life and now she’s dead so like what was the point

Try Green tea extracts
Same here!! It burns whenever I put it on and I develop a red, itchy rash after a few days of use 😭
Try to use a product which has 2 to 5 percent niacinamide and use like 2 drops for only 3 days a week for a month and then incorporate regularly..Many people have said that the 10 percent concentration is actually too harsh...because I don't think niacinamide is very harsh ingredient it's usually it's concentration

In addition to having a frown line, my skin is pretty acne prone. Like, I’m turning 31, and I’ve legit NEVER had nice skin. Until now. I had a small break out right after I started using these products but I assume it was just my skin adjusting to them. It cleared up pretty quickly and I haven’t had an issue since. I’ve also got some scarring, both from acne and some from old piercings. All of which are nearly gone. I didn’t have much hope that this would work, but it did. Looking to add some retinol but that one scares me a bit because my skin is kinda sensitive. Right now I’m also using Neutrogena Hydro boost gel cream (the fragrance free one) both morning and night on top on the serums. Nothing super fancy, but seems to work for my skin
@@MissMayhem2024 i use the ordinary retinol emulsion and for me it's so gentle that i can put it underneath my eyes without using moisturizer first.
@@kategolden8840 im using that one too and i feel like it isn’t doing anything because it’s too gentle. Have u seen any results?
PSA don’t sleep on the first aid beauty KP bump eraser...... I don’t even have kp but that scrub has literally changed my legs, ass, and bikini line in terms of razor bumps and texture 🙌🙌🙌
I have KP on the back of my arms and can confirm!!!! The only thing that remotely works!!
gonna give this a try! thank you. i’ve struggled with kp for soooo long

@M e it’s Keratosis pilaris. it’s little bumps that almost looks like pimples that appear on your arms/legs and even sometimes your butt lol.
Absolutely loved this video. Thank you so much for this valuable information Hyram. Lots of love from an Australian 🇦🇺
This is exactly the kind of video I’ve been looking for! Thank you King 🤍

Wow she must be miserable
Can you review Black Girl Sunscreen for Kids. I'm a black women that recently just started wearing sunscreen in my mid 30's mostly because of you and Dr Dray. I tried a wide range of mineral and chemical ones and found this brand works for me without leaving a heavy white cast. I know you're not a fan of chemical ones, but this one works so well on black or dark skin. I would appreciate if you could review it.
Check dr dray video, she has reviewed it
@@annagreatone3141 I started to use this sunscreen because of Dr Dray. I love her. But I was curious to know his take on the sunscreen because I value his opinion too.
I’ve been waiting for this video for sooo long!
