Ok, guys, in this video we are watching Naoya Inoue (JAPAN) vs Adrian Hernandez (MEXICO)! This was one of Naoya Inoue's exciting fights. Securing another victory in Japan against a boxer from Mexico.
I think I really want to see Naoya take his next fight against Marlon Tapales. Because think about it.. he was undisputed at Bantamweight and then after moving up to Super Bantamweight if he beats Marlon Tapales he becomes undisputed champion at this new weight after only 2 fights.

  • Someone posted a video of Inoue fighting a Cuban fighter named Vtaleia?, when Inoue was 17. What I find very interesting is to see that his style has not changed dramatically. It is much more refined in this fight, but very similar. The little things Inoue does when he resets, his feet, his punches are the same as when he was young. His unique style has been the same throughout his fighting days. When you see the Foulton fight, Inoue style was years in the making.

  • On turning pro at 19, Inoue first takes on and beats two reigning national (Filipines, Thai) champs, then a high ranked Japanese (when the then national champ wouldn't), to get his shot at and become Japanese champ in his fourth pro fight. Taguchi, the newly crowned Japanese champ, immediately calls Inoue out, Inoue emerging the victor in his toughest fight to date. This win gives him a shot at a Asia-Pacific title, which then gives him a shot at world champ Hernandez, to become world champ in just his sixth pro fight.. Just as someone else commentsd here, he had problems making the cut (growing fast) for this fight at light fly, so he defends the belt once (he thinks a world champ must defend his belt at least once to be a real world champ, the best) before moving up two weight classes to challenge the longest reigning world champ, Narvaez, at Super Fly. Inoue KO's Narvaez, who'd never been knocked down, even vs Donaire, in just two rounds. Narvaez reckoned, even back then, that Inoue was a stronger, more powerful fighter than Donaire.. Hope Inoue passes on Casimero and Nery and just defends just once (Goodman seems most deserving of the shot, imo), after becoming twice Undisputed vs Tapales. Nice one! 🥊

    @PjYogiBear@PjYogiBear7 ай бұрын
    • Nice info... Tapales looks like the next fight. I think a defence fight would be good also. He needs a good adversary that the public also believe can test him or its likely that the money will be cashed in at a higher weight.

      @Charlessalbox@Charlessalbox7 ай бұрын
    • @@Charlessalbox Inoue and his team seem pretty set on Tapales, Casimero, and Nery. The Casimero fight looked a big draw fight in Japan, one for the Japanese and Filipino fans. And Nery's another bad boy, big draw fight in the US, one for all fans. But those guys carry extra unwanted baggage. Casimero's stock's gone down after a pretty unconvincing showing against a half-retired Japanese veteran, Oguni, who hadn't fought in six years. Inoue's manager-promoter Ohashi politely said Casimero needed a convincing win. Nery had a great showing against Crazy A a few months ago, and it would be interesting to see how Inoue would deal with Nery's pressure style, backed by hard punches. Rumour has it that Nery's gone cold on Inoue, possibly cuz Inoue has stipulated that his opponents need to agree to VADA testing to fight him.. Goodman had a good showing last week at Feather against a tough opponent, as he did against Aleem. Got good fundamental skills. Only Inoue won't have too much trouble finding his openings. The tougher, bigger fighters who can offer Inoue more challenging competitive fights are at Feather, aren't they? And, like you say, if he continues to just walk through opponents, his impact on the boxing world and the momentum and shine he's carrying might become a little diminished. Inoue should reach his 135lb target fight weight for SB after two more fights. The Robeisy fight is the one I'd love to see, sooner rather than later..

  • Boxing is such a tragic and fascinating sport. This poor guy Hernandez gets a cut 😮above his eye, so everybody knows it's just a matter of time before he loses the fight. He's got lots of courage and I salute him for that, but this fight is painful to watch. Of course he knew going into the fight that the "monster" really is a monster and now he has to pay the price. Mexican fighters are world-famous for never giving up, and that's what we're watching here.😮

  • The Mexicans inherently don't believe that anyone can take or dish out more than they can. They believe they might lose because of a (lucky) single punch or bad decision, but they don't believe they'll be worn down completely. This guy came to fight and Inoue would have done well to simply circle outside the Mexican's punching range, and then used his speed to dash in and out with flurries. There was no reason to take this much punishment. But Inoue can be dragged down into scraps like this, because when someone hits him, he just wants to hit back. The vast, vast, vast amount of Champions who fought this way eventually ran into a combination of Age and an opponent who had great will and stamina as well, with Age tipping the scales to the opponent. Golovkin comes to mind, Tyson as well, JCC, Roberto Duran, Alexis Arguello, etc. It's to Floyd Mayweather's credit that he slipped away before with his undefeated record before someone caught up to him.

It's nothing more than protecting your hands, it's just a quibble. Bandage's margin of error is the same quip as \"cowardice because you have a lot of allies on the platform.\"
