    • Yeah, but Garbrandt outclassed Cruz after losing that trash talk to Cruz. Garbrandt was just faster and had better footwork at the time. Right now. I think Cruz would dominate Garbrandt. Because Garbrandt is not the same fighter as he was before. Flat-footed and tries to brawl too much while having a weak chin. Before and while fighting Cruz, Garbranbt's trash talk was and will still be cringe worthy as hell, but he used to be really, really good.

    • @@badassmastermax look at his record, he was 22-1 until he fought Mike Brown and started becoming more beatable. He was very dominant in WEC for a while and those that watched remember him as a pre-McGregor, bringing a lot of attention to a division most didn't care about at the time. Kamaru Usman is 19-1 and number 2 in pfp, potentially moving up to number 1 if he wins his next fight, and he'd still have a worse record than Urijah. You can argue that it wasn't as competitive, but that's just the nature of a continuously developing sport that's still so young. There's a reason he's respected enough to have a very established gym that feeds into established promotions and there's a reason he got a lot of big name fights and automatically thrown into the title picture frequently, his fights sell well because a lot of people still remember who he was when he was younger.

    • @@BackInNam1911 Professional sports (and amateur to some extent) essentially require the use of PEDs. Are you going to tell me that other competitors are performing on the level of genetic freaks on steroids while being completely clean? The only difference between most of them is some get caught. Watch Icarus, and get a grasp on how difficult it is to detect the most advanced PEDs in usage now. Then add in the massive resources professional sports now owns (especially international events such as the Olympics) and tell me that in all likelihood they are not on some form of PED. EPO allowed TJ to train harder by bolstering his recoverability, stamina, and blood oxygen levels, like training at high altitude without the altitude component. He still had to work just as hard as anyone else, and perhaps harder given how much he was training towards the end. Did he play by the rules of the competition, no, is PED use rampant throughout the sport pressuring athletes into gaining a new competitive edge, almost certainly.

I dislike TJ for a variety of reasons, I think he's a bit of an ass really, but he is pretty good at what he does and PED use doesn't take away from that given how professional sports revolve around increasingly better and harder to detect PEDs. Given that TJ didn't even have that much of an edge over his last few fights, don't you think that it's odd how these athletes on PEDs aren't all that much stronger, faster, or fitter than their opponents?
